I'm changing my rating for Nick and his team at Cleargate because, I have tried to schedule a pest service since 8/12/23. More than once, I had to ask them to please respond to my inquiries to schedule an appointment. I was told that my messages through Yelp is getting lost in the many messages they receive, so after more attempts, I asked for another form of communication, so that I could get this service scheduled sooner than later. Nick provided a phone number and an email address. I sent a message to the phone number hoping to finalize scheduling, but still received no response. Then, I receive a text from an 818 number stating that the service technicians will arrive in half an hour (that's today). Although, today was the date I was trying to schedule this service, I never received confirmation or a response from Nick or anyone else at Cleargate. I responded to the 818 number stating that this service was never confirmed and that no one will be home. I sent another message to the number Nick provided, basically stating the same and informing him that we will be using another company. I just don't think I need to constantly be reaching out for a service I'm paying for. If you want my business, then you will do your part in getting that accomplished. I no longer recommend Cleargate for your pest service needs unless you're willing to wait over a month (or more, who knows?) to schedule anything and also have someone show up at your house without confirmation. read more

We had clear gate come out to treat termites. They guarantee one year termite free. We noticed more droppings after a few months and called them to come out. They never showed up and haven't responded or returned my calls in a month. I don't know what to do. read more

They were able to schedule an inspection quickly and the technician was very knowledgeable and thorough when he examined the property for termite problem. They quoted a fair price for a spot treatment. About a week later, the technician came back with a trainee to treat the termite issue. The technician drilled 8 equally spaced holes above the first window and injected with termidor. Everything was great until the technician let the trainee drilled another 8 holes above the second window. It was supposed to be an easy job but he ended up drilling 8 randomly and closely spaced holes, which means the treatment only covered a small portion of the wall above the second window. He also failed to patch up the hole correctly and I had to do it again myself. Lastly, a couple of the holes were so close to the ceiling so the drill also left a couple marks on my new paint, so I ended up having to repaint the ceiling again. It really messed up my overall experience with this company. read more

Don't waste your time. I waited for 2 hours and they never called for their appointment. When I called the office they their technician tried to knock but no one answered so the technician left. They had specific instructions not to knock and to call as I was waiting in the area for them. When I asked why they did not call. I was told they called the office but they did not pick up his call. I am thrilled with this service so far- Jorge (who was lovely, respectful, and informative) was almost late- arrived like 5 minutes before the 2 hour window was up. So, be aware of that when you book- 2 hours means 2 hours possible arrival time! But considering I've never before needed this type of service and was equal parts nervous and embarrassed, Jorge completely put me at ease and was totally professional. Not to be too graphic, but we are already seeing the results and are hoping to be pest free always now! We are opting to do a bi-monthly service just in case! STARGATE is such an amazing company and I can't say enough good things about their services! Would highly recommend them to anyone. We found some droppings around our house one day and reached out to this company right away. One of the office staff representative named Aaron was able to easily schedule an appointment the next day! This individual was super helpful, nice, and understanding. I was freaking out about the issue but Aaron reassured me that they could properly handle the situation which helped to relax all of my concerns. When the technician Gerald came, he was very thorough and knowledgeable. He identified the problem areas quickly and set traps in those areas. Two days later, RAT TRAPPED! Another technician came the day I called and removed the rat nuisance. They kept the traps and came back weekly for check ups, but thankfully the pesky critter was running solo and not in a rat pack (SO DISGUSTING). It was probably the most disgusting thing I've ever seen in my house, actually, not probably... DEFINITELY. But, the STARGATE pest control company made it pain free to deal with. The overall cost of the service was very reasonable and turned out to better than what I was expecting (especially having never had this issue before), but the full total service was totally worthwhile.
