Horrible place. The staff yells at the dogs and is clearly mean to the animals. I will never bring my dogs back. When I confronted the manager, she admitted that one of the dogs had gotten loose and ran out of the building into the street. I couldn't believe my dogs had been put at risk this entire time. Looking back, it makes sense why my dogs hated coming here. The staff does not seem to care about the animals at all. My dogs always came home wet and didn't even smell clean. This place is pretty cheap for a self wash...they even give out stamp cards! Unfortunately, there seem to be dust everywhere and I noticed there's no one making sure the stations are cleaned before another client comes in with their dog to wash. They provide two small towels that leaves lint everywhere. They do not provide shampoo/conditioner like some other self wash places which is a con for me. read more

Not the best place! I called & asked for an appointment. On the website it says to call on certain days/times to get it faster. I called & she said to come in right away. Thought that was a little strange but I went with it! My boyfriend went to take our dog & when he arrived, he said the place smelled awful. As if they haven't cleaned their carpet since they first opened. There was a guy grooming a dog when he went in & he saw that the dog was being a little resistant & the guy grooming had no patience! You could hear him make noises and slightly tugging on the dog. The older lady went to go show him our dog & he wasn't interested. She then told him his name was Turbo & he immediately said "dogs who have names like that usually live up to it. Put him away" how rude? This dog is like my kid so you're going to say a smart ass comment like that about my kid? Not having it. The groomer should watch his mouth & not be so aggressive with the dogs. Especially since we were new customers! Bad first impression. If I was there to drop him off, I would've walked out with my dog after a comment like that & his attitude. We dropped him off around 12 & picked up him around 4. 12-4 & he still smelled like a dog! That long ass time & $50 just for him to still smell? No tip and no thanks! I didn't read the reviews when I first took him but I should've. We got lucky with our Frenchie meaning, nothing bad happened to him. *** PSA: DO NOT bring your long haired dog here unless you're okay with them being shaved!!! I wish I had a better experience here but that was not the case. They are not educated in how to groom different breeds or different types of coats. I brought Blue in requesting a bath, and trim with scissors for her coat and a sanitation trim for her butt hairs (very common in aussies). The groomer made me believe she understood what I was requesting and didn't ask any questions. 3 hours later when I picked up Blue and already payed for the service, I found her shaved on the top and no sanitation trim given (her butt hairs were a couple inches longer that her body). After my shock of seeing Blue this way; I voiced that I wasn't happy with the results and ultimately very confused. Aussie owners know the breed should not be shaved (unless matting, etc.) and I thought the groomers know this basic fact as well. When discussing my concerns of the shaved coat potentially ruining her fur, as well as the common sense of it being cold in the winter; her response was "we are not show groomers". That was an obvious fact here, but additionally voicing how they didn't know how to groom Australian Shepard after the service and them still going through the motions of taking her in making me believe they were capable of taking care of my dog, was BEYOND UNPROFESSIONAL. SO PLEASE BEWARE THESE GROOMERS ARE VERY UNEDUCATED IN HOW TO CARE FOR DUAL COAT BREEDS and they are aware of this fact. Long story short, they did offer to fix her sanitation trim, but after awkwardly standing there for a few minutes with no action to actively fix the obviously uneven cut; we decided to leave. There was not any good customer service, no discount/money back offered, no apology, nothing of that matter. Just a very poorly shaved dog in the middle of a rainy winter. This is my second time coming here and I've had a pleasant experience each time. The location is clean, I had access to the bath, towels, shampoo and dryer with no issue. No time limit and plenty of warm water to make my dogs bath enjoyable for him. I paid $17 for the self service and feel that the pricing is fair. I was waiting for my dog to come out after getting groomed by someone else and it sounded like the guy may have accidentally (I hope) cut or hurt the dog he was shaving/cutting. Awful, dirty and lacked basic grooming needs (brush or comb) and proper dog entrance to tubs, requiring lifting large dogs in and out of tub. Drying tables not present and tables not designed for large dogs either, yet they charge you based on the size of your dog. Crazy. I was very spoiled with the soon to be closed Unleashed in La Verne which had tubs with doors, adjustable drying table, basic grooming aids and was much cheaper! Went in for the self service wash was greeted by a very nice lady. The shop is clean and well maintained I'm a groomer my self and didn't feel like driving to my shop in Pasadena. I seen past reviews and don't know why one person would have all there friends give this small business such a hard time. The spots on the dog are not from the shaving process they are from a underline skin condition which is why they are all over. I took my doggy here to get groomed, and the owner was nice and welcoming the first time. I have a 10 lb shih tzu, and she charged me about 35 dollars, and when I took my dog back to get a hair cut for the second time- the owner gave me attitude and complained about how my dog moved so much that's why he didn't turn out so well and in stead of charging me 35, she charged me 50 dollars. I was confused by this. I know this place have been there for years, and I was referred to this place by another friend. I'm very dissapointed by the service, and it's a sad thing for me to even believe that the groomers may have done something really mean or horrible to my precious dog because she was complaining about my dog moving too much, and she seemed really irritated by the fact that I brought him in on a saturday, which I know is their busiest day. If she couldn't take my dog, she should have said something in the beginning. Anyways, it's hard to find a good place where your dog will be treated with respect. The service keeps getting worse and worse each time around we bring our Maltese to get groomed. I'm a pretty patient, optimistic person but this time I've lost faith! We brought our little guy here after our vet recommended this place. New pet parents that we were, we followed the advice. So yeah.. we've stuck around as loyal customers for about a little over a year now paying the $40 a pop each time. The lady owner used to man the front of the establishment, but now it's this grumpy old man (who I think is the husband) that doesn't even look at you or your dog when you come in. This time around I made it completely clear that I wanted my dog's ear length to be shorter because last time they neglected to trim it even though my bf specifically requested for it. When we came to pick him up 4 hours later, the ears weren't even touched, again! Additionally, they put a freakin bow on him. What!!?? He's a BOY. And ever since day 1 I said not to put any bows on him, which I know is specifically written down on his record card. Are you guys not listening? I proceeded to point out to the gramps that my dog's ears weren't even touched when he cut me off and hurriedly told me to go to the back room where the groomers were. Hey, that's all right. If it can be remedied then I'll be forgiving. The groomer admitted that she forgot to trim the ears. I ask her if she can trim it a little shorter and rounded it out a little bit. She took my dog's ear and just cut straight across. WTF? My puppy now has a puppy bowl cut straight out of Chinatown! Good thing Chance's hair grows fast. But no longer will I be a customer of Pet Bath USA. I'm in search of a better establishment - one that treats their customers and dogs with more respect. read more

I AM SO UNBELIEVABLY DISGUSTED AND DISAPPOINTED WITH THIS BUSINESS. Earlier today i took my 8 month old lab here for his first groomers trip. When we arrived they asked us what services we would like and we said a haircut. They called all the serviceslike nails, anal glands, ear cleaning,etc. a "haircut" (unknowingly that labs coats aren't supposed to be touched because it could be detrimental to their health and could cause hair shock) they told us that they weren't going to touch his hair or cut it in anyway because it was his first time and dogs could get too nervous. When we arrived to pick him up we were dumbfounded by what we saw....a completely shaved dog. We paid and left and did not know what to do, i told my mother and we went back to ask for a partial or full refund because this haircut and service was completely unacceptable. The older lady upfront (assuming was the owner) said "she couldn't see what those were" so she asked the man cutting another dogs hair named ceaser to come get a closer look. When he did so he said that it was normal and possibly from knots (we brush him daily and give him baths weekly and they should've brushed him before they cut his hair) ....I have never seen another dogs hair like this coming back from a PROFESSIONAL GROOMER. When we requested a refund they both laughed at us and the guy ceaser started to clap as if i was joking. We told them we will be writing a review and they said " Go Ahead we don't need your business we have plenty" This is not the first time this has happened to their customers. We've taken our German Shepherd for the self service wash for about five years now. We've been to other self-service pet wash places in the area but keep coming back because they have great water pressure, the water temperature is warm and consistent, and the tubs are near near the entrance. Our dog fears walking on tile floor with wet paws and most places have the tubs in the back of their building. I only wish they would have at least one larger tub where our 100lb shepherd could be more comfortable. read more

I was at a business right next door, which share a wall, I could hear a small dog crying in pain as if a paw might be caught in something, I heard it 3 times so I walked over to ask if the dog was ok the lady in front said very nicely the dog is fine the groomer is just pulling the hair from the ears. My doggies always come out beautiful, and get their teeth cleaned by the monthly Hygenist at the same time! That is a huge benefit, as it is very reasonably priced, and they do not have to be put under, like the vets office does. Silky fur and fresh breath, at an affordable price! Let me say, this place could be a lot cleaner and even updated. The shelves need to be changed. They are rusty. The carpet when you walk in is old and dirty. It needs to be replaced. They need new paint and just a fresh clean new look. I probably wouldn't leave my dog here because its dirty. If its dirty in the front then it makes me wonder what its like in the back. With that said, the employees have always been friendly. I get my dogs toe nails trimmed here for $8. Not a bad price. I return for solely this service. No appointment needed for nail trimming.
