We are thrilled with Pet Care Plus! Both as a daycare and more recently, the answer to our dog training needs. Otto loves everyone he meets at Pet Care Plus! While Otto has always been sweet, he had trouble getting along with other dogs and needed a lot of extra attention. I'm so grateful PCP never gave up on us, even when a lot of other daycares would have. More recently, Otto boarded there for a 7 day training with their excellent trainer, Tilman. This was worth the money and difficult time away as Otto now plays better with dogs, no longer pulls and learned some cool new tricks too. This was the answer for Otto. We also get some follow up sessions to keep him sharp. Tilman has been very available, communicative while otto is in training and is clearly, very dedicated to Otto. He's an excellent trainer! This is our favorite doggie daycare and groomer in the city.l!! Also we are boarding here with all our travels. They always treat Quincy our dog like family and they know her by name. They are so great to work with, the facilities are very clean and the owner is wonderful. The staff is incredible with the animals they have video see you can see your dog in daycare and they give special treats when you are boarding. Extremely disappointed with my experience here. I have taken my dog here a few times and I have had good experiences until today. I decided to try out a new groomer (Summer) because I have seen her work on some reviews here and wanted to try her out for my dogs first full haircut with the company. I will admit my dog is a tad matted and I understood if she could not get through the mats. I let Summer know that if she was not able to demat him then to not shave him as I have another groomer that can attempt this step before I go all in and shave him. I wanted a bath and atleast a sanitary trim and cut around his eyes and head. I let her know this. The lady at the front had called me two hours after dropping him off letting me know that they were unable to cut his hair due to the matting but that the groomer attempted. She said that instead they gave him a bath, a sanitary trim and cut his nails and hair in his paws. When I arrived to pick up my dog I noticed that my dog was not ready and Summer was quickly shaving him as she was giving him his "sanitary trim ". I say this in quotations because the groomer has left his belly full of hair around his private area and his private part was scratched/cut. When she brought my dog out he seemed as if he didnt get brushed so I spoke to Summer and asked if she atleast attempted to brush him like she said she would and she told me that she would not brush him if he was not shaved. I was a little taken aback but I understood and told her I was thankful for her help and she barely said "have a good one". He also came out humid as if he was not fully blow dried. When I was waiting for my car outside, my dogs hair was hard from the drops of water left that became frozen. He was freezing! They also claimed to have bathed him but did not bother to clean around his eye area which was full of eye booger. I was charged $80 for this service and because I am a good person I tipped an additional $12 even though the groomer did not attempt to brush him out at all and I wasn't exactly happy with the way I was being lectured for having my dog matted by 2 of the ladies in the front. I had an alternative solution that did not involve these groomers as my last attempt to not have to shave him down. Which of course, if he is extremely matted and it will hurt him, I will let the groomer shave him - thank god I did not let Summer shave him because he cut my dogs private part while giving him his sanitary trim. I did not realize how badly the service I paid and tipped for was done until I came to my house and tried to cut around his eyes as they didnt even do this which I believe is part of the sanitary trim as I have had this service done on him before from these groomers and they have cut around his eyes. I feel as I have been robbed by this company and because of this I will never step foot in here again. The correct thing to do would be to refund me for such unprofessionalism and poor quality of service. read more

My dog is Pomeranian, she had grooming at this place 2 times, and the reason we came because first time was a great experience and expectations met the criteria. But the second time I took her, they cut my Pomeranian super short( which you don't do on this type of breed!!!). She looked great after BUT I didn't know that actually this damaged her hair so badly!!! It has been 3 months and only some parts of coat is growing back, she looks awful. The groomer should of better know not to do this to Pomeranians!! I called them and told them what happened that the fur doesn't grow back. But they didn't do anything, I mean they could of at least offer free bath or take a look at her fur or suggest what should be done at this point! I am so mad at them !! I would not suggest this place, they are irresponsible for their mistakes!! If I could I would rate below 0, -10!!! read more

Our favorite place - bringing both our girls here since 2016. I searched and researched the right daycare/boarding for our two dogs an English cream retriever and a Vizsla and could not have found a better second home for our pups. The quick answer if you don't want to read a long review: we absolutely love Pet Care Plus and hands down would recommend them for all services! We have used PCP for the past two years for daycare, taxi services, grooming and boarding and would highly recommend all of these services. We started sending our pup here when he was about 6 months old after researching several daycare facilities in the city (and after he got booted from his first daycare because he had grown too big for their facility). I really appreciated that we were able to set up a time to visit before committing and they showed us the entire place - every play room, the outside areas, and the rooms that have all of the individual dog "suites" for boarding and nap time. The staff was definitely happy and proud to show off their facility and that pride definitely continued to show through the great service we've experienced. As for what our dog thinks - he has a pretty great life, but he lives his best life at PCP. He goes absolutely wild when we tell him he's going to daycare, and when they show up at our door (using their taxi service), he jumps and wags his tail like a wild man (in the best way)! I mean, they have a pool! And play equipment, snacks, nap time, a great and caring staff - what more could you ask for?! And he always comes home happy and exhausted, which is exactly what you want after a day playing with other pups! We've also always felt very comfortable boarding him at PCP when we travel. At every check-in, the front desk staff clearly goes over the schedule, his food, meds, etc. We also love getting pictures and email updates (part of the Signature Suite option) to know how our big guy is doing! I've read some comments on pricing and I would say they are comparable to other similar facilities in the city. Personally, we've found them to be worth every penny and understand when prices have gone up. They have an amazing facility (e.g., multiple play rooms with equipment for the pups to play on, an outdoor area, a pool!) with a knowledgeable and caring staff. That comes at an understandable price, so no, they are not the cheapest, but the service is truly top notch. Our Dog Ginger loves Pet Care Plus! She gets excited every Monday morning when we get ready to take her to Daycare. On the walk to the facilities she pulls us practically she does not want to miss out on any fun times that she will be having at the pool or in the yard with her doggie friends. Bottom line Pet Care Plus is a great establishment. The staff is great. In fact they even offered to give Ginger a different collar to swim with since I forgot her anti-stink collar that day. Not only that they give us an update on how play time was that day. Over all our dog gets to play all day, gets to run free, swim and play with tennis balls which is her favorite past time. As for some of the negative reviews that are on this site I have a couple of things to say; 1. If you are looking for a fee-fee shishee doggie Day Care business this may not be for you. At the same time don't write a negative review because you want to board your dog at a Day Care that is the equivalent of the Trump Towers. Seriously most of us don't exactly care. And your dog doesn't either. Realistically your dog doesn't need to watch TV. And More importantly the less activity they receive during the day is going to dictate how long your furry little friends are on this earth. 2. Pet Care Plus is where Dogs Rule. They offer a facility where dogs can learn socialization skills that are important for every day life. If you are looking for a place where your pooch is going to be pampered all day and has ZERO time to interact with other dogs this may not be the place for you. But I will tell you this- the less interaction your K-9 gets with other dogs the more aggressive they will become. 3. If you are going to write a review make sure it is realistic and not just some hate mail and "bash the business day". Consumers can read and understand when a person is just trying to write a review to be out right MEAN! Trust me I know I work for a .com company. Came to pet care plus based on a recommendation from our vet and from another boarding facility. Not the cheapest in town, but overall a decent facility (with a pool!) with very accommodating and welcoming staff. As newcomers to town, we were looking for a doggie daycare that wouldn't just throw our nervous Nellie of a rescue dog into a group of 30 dogs and wish her luck. Holly (the GM) in particular has been very patient in "onboarding" our not-great-with-strangers dog. I couldn't believe it when the staff told me on day 2 that Holly was able to brush our dog and even got some kisses in! Disclaimer: I did not actually use their daycare services. Read why below: I went to visit when shopping around for a doggie daycare. There is ample parking around the building which is very convenient. The front of the building has a shop which is cute- easily the most aesthetic effort of the entire place. Front desk woman was friendly. There were quite a few rooms and a pool in the back. The rooms were a little smelly but not unbearable. I later called to get started with setting up daycare for my puppy. Not sure who picked up the phone (I don't think it was the same lady I had met earlier); I asked if there were age restrictions or if my 9 week old puppy would be allowed to attend. This woman got seriously judgy on me, saying that 8 weeks was too young to have gotten my puppy, and that they need to be older in order to bond with the mom, etc etc, and how she was shocked at how this practice is still allowed in this day and age. This interaction alone totally put me off this place. Look lady, you may consider yourself Superwoman to Dogs Everywhere, but keep your obnoxious opinions to yourself unless I specifically ask for them. As a new dog owner I am trying my best to provide a loving home for this animal. Your views might even have a valid point, but 1) I'm asking you about daycare, not about how you'd like to save the world; 2) I didn't do anything illegal; 3) nothing I can do about it now, did you want me to give the puppy back??? After I told her I'd figure out something else, her tone changed as she realized she'd caused loss of business. Pet Care Plus, please reserve your snotty judgement for people who actually hate or mistreat animals. Update: In response to the reply from PCP below- She was not referring to her age for daycare. I can't say enough good things about Pet Care Plus. My Boston terrier, Plato, gets so excited every time he realizes he's going to daycare. I mean, can you blame him? He gets to play and sniff ALL the dog butts. It's basically dog heaven. Between the attentive staff and state of the art facility, he gets spoiled rotten here. Seriously, big ups to the staff. Plato recently had cataract surgery and needed round the clock eye care. I have boarded my dog Tuk here two or three times. I was interested in using this center, because of their outside play groups and pool. However, after trying them out a few times I will not be using their services for my dog again. My main concerns are the following: 1. the outside spaces have no shade or running water for the dogs (with the obvious exception of the pool yard which you have to pay extra for.). Even if your dog has a pool day, he will still be put in the pool-less outdoor area after his pool session and a rest break. My dog is german-shepherd part-husky and overheats super easily. When booking his last boarding session I requested that they note his susceptibility to heat to make sure he doesn't spend excess time outside without shade/water. However, I consistently checked the video (which is a really nice feature of this place) throughout the day and he was in the outdoor area for over two hours in 80F heat. He was just walking in circles panting and trying to find shade (which there was a slight rectangle of shade from the fence that increased as the sun went lower in the sky). I called to insist they bring him inside, which they did, but they also said they had no note of his heat susceptibility. The lack of writing the note down is one thing, but they also should have recognized signs of heat exhaustion and that dogs should not stay in a square of exposed sun on the cement in mid-day heat for two hours. They really need have a better design for their outdoor play space to include shade and running water (a hose? kiddy pools?) ... anything to give the dogs a relief in the hot and muggy summer heat. 2. The front entrance is gorgeous - smells lovely and is clearly well-thought through to impress clients. However, when you pick your dog up from the back entrance (e.g. for a late pick-up) the smell of urine will quite literally shock you. It smells worse than a lot of pounds I've been to, the ammonia is enough to sting your eyes, and I am quite skeptical of their cleanliness (see other reviews regarding dogs getting sick here). Also, when I picked my dog up from an extended stay over Christmas, his bedding was covered in urine. I understand accidents happen, but to allow a dog to sleep continually in urine-soaked bedding is just irresponsible and testament to a lack of conscientiousness of this place. This place may work well for some dogs, but I know my mind will not be at ease leaving him here after these experiences, so we will be going elsewhere. I would just suggest stopping in for a tour of the back areas to see if it will work for your dog before dropping him off here. They charge a premium so make sure you are getting what you pay for. read more
