The store is one of the worst. They sell defective products from the manufacturer and then refuse to exchange or return them. I tried to call customer service, and it sounded like a guy in his room playing video games--very unprofessional. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, he hung up on me. The other day, I took my dogs there for a bath, and an Asian man--who refused to give me his name--yelled at me in front of my kids over a shampoo that he didn't charge me for when I had already paid for the bath. I told him I was going to lock the dog in and come back to pay for it, but he came over, snatched the shampoo out of my son's hand, and made a huge scene. I asked a woman she said she was the assistant manager if Janette was in she became visibly angry and replayed "no she called off". Stopped in yesterday to bathe my geriatric GSD and was instantly blown away by how clean the store was, including their self- service grooming center. I've been to a lot of locations that don't even come close to how nice this store is. My dog takes a while to completely bathe and dry, and in the time I was able to clean her up I saw two other dogs get groomed by their owners. Each time, an employee by the name of Harrison came to wash and rinse the tubs that were used and made sure they were absolutely spotless for the next pup. This will now be my regular location for bathing Buttons! The team that works this store deserves some kind of bonus, or a pay raise because they definitely go above and beyond. Sidenote: the water gets warm pretty quick, the towels were all fresh, and the blow dryers have a wonderful attachment that funnels the air into a thinner stream making it easier and faster to blow dry. read more

I have to tell a story. I walked into Pet Food Express in just a bad mood. I walk in the store, trip over the mat at the front door, no one greeted or helped me and I was ready to walk out. Thankfully an employee came out of the back area and greeted me with the BIGGEST SMILE and asked how she could help me. She started asking me questions about my pets and I slowly started to warm up. This was at noon today so I was hot on top of crabby. Janette made my entire day change. I spent money learned about the foods I'm feed my dog and I left there in just the best mood. I come here for the self pet wash and I love it so much! I love how convenient it is here with the options of 3 different shampoos! They also provide you with towels a waterproof collar to borrow as well as an apron to keep you as dry during your doggy wash experience. You have more than enough time to get your pup fully washed and dried. I'd say you could even manage 2-3 dogs in the amount of time given :). Once you're done with the bath you don't have to worry about cleaning up as they clean up after you. Yay for not having to wash hairy doggy towels and sweeping/mopping up the floor after. I would also like to mention the staff on how friendly and helpful they are! Can't rave about this place enough. It's a fun experience :) Tip: bring your doggy brush with you. read more

This pet store is the absolute best! They carry everything your pet would ever want or need, from toys, beds, to leashes and harnesses. Their treat selection includes a wide variety of healthy and local items I haven't found anywhere else. They also sell Just Food For Dogs which makes my life so much easier because I don't have to go far if I run out. The real gem of this place is definitely the people who work here. Not only are they so sweet to my girl whenever she comes in, their broad knowledge and willingness to go above and beyond to help is something I haven't experienced at any other pet store. My dog Charli has dietary restrictions, she has allergies, a heart murmur which requires low sodium, and she needs to lose weight which requires a low fat diet. That being said, yesterday Kevin and Alex took the time to go over all of the different food options with me and did the math to calculate how much fat and sodium were in everything. It definitely took a lot of time and knowledge to be able to do that. I was honestly blown away. Truthfully, they helped me more then Just Food for Dogs when I visited the store and they knew more about dog food then anyone I've encountered in any pet store ever. My dog had surgery 2 weeks ago and I came in here to find the best possible food/accessories that could aid in her speedy recovery. I just felt so helpless! Upon entering, I was immediately greeted and offered assistance by multiple employees. After explaining my situation to an employee, she quickly offered some of her experience with certain food brands and presented my with a couple of items she thought I would be interested in. I ended up trying out, Just For Dogs and am very thankful that I did. My pup has made a speedy recovery and has never looked better. Since this visit, I've already come back in 2 more times. I found some stray kittens in my backyard and once again, I popped in, was greeted, and employees offered personal advice/guidance as to what items I could purchase to tend for these kittens. Moreover, they were very helpful with strategies to tend to them. I must say, this is a stellar team! Additionally, I love that all the products here are quality and in my opinion, very affordable. I don't think I've ever been to such a cute pet store before. They have every item that you can imagine...toys, treats, clothes, and beds...you name it, they have it! If you're looking for hard to find specialty, organic, vegetarian, frozen or raw food, products they have it! Frozen bones or specialty health food is available too. They even have dog ice cream and doggie donuts. Now my dogs and I can finally eat donuts together! They are a little pricey, but they also price match, so you're still paying a great price! Another great thing about Pet Food Express is that they deliver! If you never want to leave your house, you can still get their products delivered for just $5 dollars! They even have a place to wash your furry baby. Even though your dogs may not think they need a bath or prefer to ever have one, they provide a perfect area for only $15 to do it. They provide warm water, several different soaps, and a blow dryer! Your dog will thank you later! They also provide a potty area outside, not for you, just for your pup. There is a cute red bench that you can sit on while your dog does their business. They also support Best Friends Animal Society which is a foundation that helps homeless animals. We are so grateful to Petfood Express for how they treated us 9 days ago when we came in to wash our brand new puppy who was buggy when we rescued her. Anna is so kind, warm and gracious, I mean WOW, what a selfless lady. We arrived 15 minutes before close with a dirty new puppy, after spending the entire day in the car and she helped us with everything. She helped us find the right shampoo, gave us a flea and tick comb, helped us with food, litter for our new kitten, because we are totally nuts and have both a new kitten and puppy, and found us toys. She was awesome and the selection was wide and great. Lots of healthy non mainstream options, as well as items we can get at any pet store. So we have actually been back three times this week, although it is mid way on our commute, simply because the service has been so great. It's not a the cheapest store, but the service is wonderful across the board. Their exchange policy is really good as well which helps when we buy the wrong thing.
