The staff here is great -- very polite and helpful every time I visit. The store is clean and organized, and they usually have everything I need. Some items feel a little bit overpriced, but overall it's still a good place to shop for pet supplies.

Been here a few times and no one ever really offers any help lol. I'm usually standing around in the fish are looking at all the fish. Their stocking looks pretty good though, as well as the plants.

    Dead beta fish

Absolutely terrible we go in and we asked to look at the hamsters because I am trying to buy, and the manager gives us a lot of attitude and speaks to us very disrespectfully saying "ummm well are you actually looking to buy a hamster?" very rudely. We were walking out of the store and before left, we looked at the beta fish because my friend was saying how she wants to get another one and there is a dead beta fish sitting there so I go to tell the employee and he says "oh yeah we know that it's dead" so basically it has been sitting on the shelf dead and all of the employees were aware and did not take it away. Very disgusting. I posted some pictures of it.

I've had prior grooming experiences and all have turned out as expected. A clean pooch, great customer service and a decent price. Today I brought my dog in. And when I was called they said he was ready for pick up. When I got there the groomer notified me he had matted hair and as he brushed it he pulled off a scab and my pup was bleeding. So he was going to see the vet. After an hour wait I finally got options about how to proceed with treatment. Staples or ointment and a cone. They suggested the second was better as it wasn't that deep. Todd the store manager took care of the vet bill and I appreciate that because $580 for a cone, patch shave and ointment is ridiculous. Upon further inspection after I received him the wound looks worse than I expected. I understand accidents happen but how hard do you brush and cause this to happen?

The groomer (ANNA) didn't cut my puppy's hair by legs and didn't even brushed them

Firing Anna in the grooming department. I paid upfront $97 for the best package of grooming and I gave her $10 tip because I couldn't pickup my puppy ( Luna ) after she would be ready. My wife picked up our puppy ( Luna ) and she called me immediately about what a shitty haircut Anna gave our puppy. I've been taking my puppy to this place and another girl name (Maya) was grooming Luna but this time Maya was not there for few days and we needed it to get her haircut done before we were going to a short trip. Ann gave our puppy the worst hair cut and she didn't even brushed her after wash. A quick screwed up service. Now I won't trust to take my puppy to this place anymore because I'm afraid that Anna or someone else would hurt my puppy. DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET TO CANOGA PARK PETSMART specially to ANNA. Anna is the worst groomer that I've seen !!!

I hired the valley pet sitters to come for an extra day and came home a day later thinking my cats had at least clean glasses of water and extended my trip. I also left a handwritten note by the glasses of Water saying please do two fresh glasses each time of fridge water. When I got home, there was only two glasses used and both were full of slimy bacteria filled water because they were not cleaned or changed out for over a week. I would not have stayed an extra day if I ever thought for a second the note wouldn't have been read or the notes online that say use two fresh glasses that are in a pile of fresh clean glasses right by the fridge. even if I did not leave the note, why would anyone ever think cats would drink slimy bacteria infested water they would choose toilet water over a dirty bowl of water. You should always change the dry food bowls before we're feeling and the dishes of water rinsing is not even good enough, but everyone that knows Cats knows this. You're a bad caretaker for cats. If you give them water in any dirty dish, that's disgusting and rude.

I will say they did a great job grooming but their prices are pretty outrageous. I came from Andy's in Sherman oaks that charged $55 for a small dog if you get their packages. No up charge for non scented shampoo. I asked for non scented because I prefer not to put all the scents and chemicals on my pup that make both of us itchy lol but they charge an additional $8 for that. Come to find out they charged $96 for my 12 pound pup. Maybe I'm out of touch but that just seems insane to me. I will say he was done in 2 hours, and he looks great so if it's in your price range I'd recommend the grooming service. But i am looking for a trusted place where I'm happy to bring my pup & I will say the woman working here didn't sell me on this place or their service. I'm not a groomer, give me the options on how to cut my dog's hair since I'm a new customer and don't have a set preference. Sell me as the customer, make me comfortable, say hey it's $8 for natural shampoo but it's great quality. Maybe I'm picky but to paying $100 with tip is just not sustainable when I can pay the same for mobile grooming that comes with convenience.

If you're looking for a place where your dog will be loved like family, look no further than Dog…read moresitting by Ally I cannot say enough wonderful things about Ally and the care she gives to every dog. From the moment I met her, I could tell this wasn't just a business--it is truly her passion. She has such a kind heart, an incredible work ethic, and a genuine love for animals that you can feel immediately. My standard poodle, Chewy, goes to daycare with Ally , and when we went to Hawaii for nine days, I never once worried about him. Instead of being kept in kennels, the dogs get to live together in a comfortable home environment. They can relax on dog beds, sleep on furniture, play together, and simply be dogs. It's such a refreshing and loving alternative to traditional boarding. One thing that meant the world to me was how often Ally kept me updated. Every morning and every evening she sent me photos and updates of Chewy having fun, relaxing, and making friends. Seeing those pictures while I was away gave me complete peace of mind and allowed me to truly enjoy my vacation, knowing he was happy, safe, and loved. I also love seeing how much thought she puts into making the dogs' days special. During the hot weather, she even sets up fun water play for them, and it's obvious from every picture that the dogs are having the time of their lives. Although I've only known Ally for a short time, I genuinely admire her. She is young, hardworking, compassionate, and has built something truly special. It's rare to find someone who cares this deeply about every dog in her care. Chewy absolutely loves going there, and I wouldn't hesitate for a second to leave him with Allie again. I recommend Ally's Boarding & Daycare wholeheartedly to anyone looking for a safe, loving, and happy place for their dog. Your pup will be treated like family, and that's something you simply can't put a price on. Thank you, Ally for taking such incredible care of Chewy. We are so grateful to have found you!

Lately, I've seen so many heartbreaking stories about doggy daycares: dogs getting hurt, neglected, escaping, or simply not being treated with the love they deserve. Every time I read one, my first thought is the same: thank God Nova has Ally and Travis. Nova has been coming here since he was just 6 months old. He's now about to turn 5, which means they've been part of nearly his entire life. They've watched him grow from a timid, reactive puppy into the confident, happy dog he is today. They know his quirks, his routines, what makes him nervous, what makes him excited, and they have loved every version of him along the way. As dog owners, we all know there are very few people we'd trust with our entire heart. That's what our dogs are. They're not just pets, they're family. And somehow Ally and Travis have earned a level of trust that I didn't even know was possible. I've left Nova with them for the longest periods I've ever left him with anyone, and I've never once laid awake wondering if he was okay. There has never been a moment where I questioned whether he was safe, loved, exercised, or cared for. That kind of peace is priceless, and if you're a dog parent, you know exactly what I mean. What means the most to me is that Nova makes the choice himself every single time. The second he realizes where we're going, he's beside himself with excitement. If he doesn't get to see Ally or Travis, he cries. When he does, he runs to them without looking back. As someone whose dog was once fearful of people, seeing him love someone that deeply tells me everything I need to know. Dogs don't fake trust. They don't pretend to feel safe. They either do, or they don't. Nova has never questioned whether Ally and Travis are his people. Over the years, they've been there through my work schedule, my vacations, family emergencies, and every moment in between. They have given me something I can never truly repay: the ability to go through life knowing that the biggest piece of my heart is safe. That feeling is something every dog parent hopes to find, and so few actually do. Even if life takes me somewhere else one day, if I'm ever back in town and need someone to watch Nova, there is no question where he's going. I would drive hours just to leave him with Ally and Travis because trust like this isn't replaceable. They're not just our daycare: they're part of Nova's family. If you're scrolling through reviews wondering whether this is the right place for your dog, I hope this helps. Five years later, after hundreds of drop-offs and pickups, I can say with complete confidence that choosing Ally and Travis was one of the best decisions I've ever made for Nova. They have loved him like he was their own, and I will spend the rest of his life being grateful for that.
