    Our favorite pet store! The staff are knowledgeable and willing to help with anything. We love the self-serve dog wash. Well, maybe my dog doesn't like it! I love their selection of local and small business products, and higher quality food. When I had to change my dog's food, they helped me figure out some options, then gave me a bunch of samples to try. Tara is super-picky about the quality of pet food they sell, so I know my dog is eating well. (If Pet in the City staff reads this, I'm Gus's mom!)

    UPDATE!! STILL WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!! I am compelled to respond to the managers inaccurate statements below. I would expect this manager to stand with their employee - that does not surprise me. Firstly, all that stuff in the first paragraph is a diversion and has not one thing to do with this issue. I will address the biggest inaccuracy in that the text confirmation contains the service you are getting. IT DOES NOT!! And I have attached my text messages below to prove it. I have the initial text and the reminder and neither mention the service.The service most definitely should be included but IT IS NOT. I have included screen shots but if they are unreadable, I have copied the text below. Secondly I did walk away after being told twice that I had booked a bath. There was no concession because she said she did not have time. All the information on the time I got there and back to the area is irrelevant as I am not complaining about a timeline. I am only giving feedback on my experience but the stores response is to try to discount it with a response full of inaccuracies. And what manager review? No manager was requested to try to remedy this situation in the store. So your manager is just taking the side of the employee. Does the video have audio so you can really hear what your employee said versus just believing what she said versus what I have detailed as what happened? Interesting..... as I said, no surprise here. You can take your chances and maybe you will have a different experience but you can see how 'customers' are treated by the response here. Cancellations are subject to a $25 fee per dog. Reply C to confirm. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!! My bad for even trying this place again. Several weeks ago I scheduled my poodle for a GROOMING. I get my dog in the car and drive all the way there. I was instructed to just go to the back where grooming is located. Normally the groomers come up the front to greet but I am use to the people working here to not be friendliest. Anyhow I overlooked that and went to the back. The groomer came out and asked my dogs name and then said he is just getting a bath? I am like no a groom. It was obvious he needs a cut - why would Ny groomer just want to bathe him. So I said no a groom. When I called and made the appointment I said grooming appointment. She may have put down bath but I have never scheduled just a bath for my dog ever. So then after I said no groom, she looks at the phone I guess where the schedule was located and just matter of factly said 'we'll be was scheduled for a bath' . She said she would do him if she had time but she had no time to groom him. But nothing was said about sorry about our mistake or anything you should do in a situation like this. Not even let me look at the schedule and see where we can fit you in. Nope just he was scheduled for a bath and I don't have time to do him. Like I said my bad for even trying them again. Like the comments below about the bad customer experiences , it is true. We can't all be wrong. So now my pup needs a cut and I have to wait 3-4 weeks out for a decent groomer to become available as appointments are very hard to get now. To the owner: don't bother responding or asking me to reach out because I won't. There is nothing you can do or say to remedy this. Rather spend some time in your store making it better than what it is and take a course on how to hire people with customer service skills.

    They have a dog washing station that accommodates large dogs. Large selection of healthy brands. Great customer service.

So you can drop your dog off at any point, and pick them up at any point during business hours. No late fees, no extra charges!!! It seemed like the dogs were just wandering around the grooming area and there was a little area for strictly playing, but it's not like they take them to a separate room or outside, but I still love how they socialize and aren't caged!! It was pricy- at other groomers I have paid $80-$90 for a groom and here it was $105, but that also includes getting to play and socialize for as long as you need, so I think it's worth it!! I will note, they charge a 4% credit card fee if you use one. But they don't if you Venmo or pay cash. We will definitely be back!

    Came here after moving more into the city and realizing that our regular groomer was much further…read morewith limited availability. I was sad to leave them but knew my pup needed an excellent groomer in our area. I looked up a few places online, looked up Yelp reviews, and even sent a quote request. My research led me to Bubbly Paws. When we arrived on our first visit, I was impressed by the facility's cleanliness and the owner's warmth. They give you progress updates throughout the groom and reach out to you 30 minutes before the groom's end so you can make your way for pick-up. This was huge for me as my dog is a free roamer, and I like to minimize the time he spends crated as he gets anxious. The nice thing is that at the end of the appointment, you get to converse with the groomer directly, and they talk to you about how things went and give any tips. Corie is a WONDERFUL groomer with keen attention to detail. I remember our first groom; she was critical of her work on his ears. They looked perfect, and I was so impressed with the groom and how adorable he looked I couldn't tell what she was worried about. But I appreciated her being critical of her work and wanting to improve. I can tell that my dog loves spending time with her and always seems at ease on pick-up. The one warning I will give has more to do with corporate Bubbly Paws instead of the local store. They have a strict late policy in place. If you are more than 10 minutes late and haven't called, you will be charged the FULL amount of the groom and have to pay for another session. If something comes up, let them know ASAP to avoid this. If you have a large dog that you cannot bathe in the sink or your tub, they have self-service grooming stations that are always clean and equipped with products to help you keep your pup clean.

    Absolutely Horrible Experience. Do Not Take Your Dog Here!…read more We took our puppy to Modern Pet Salon for the first time because we heard they use scissors instead of clippers, which we thought would be gentler. It turned out to be a terrible mistake. We specifically asked them multiple times not to cut too much of her hair, especially since she doesn't like it, but they insisted she had too many tangles and needed a full trim. Not only did they ignore our request, but they cut our puppy twice, both on her ears--areas where there was no tangled hair at all. They even called us during the appointment to say she was bleeding. Later, they claimed it was because she had an ear hematoma and that they had just trimmed it. That was a complete lie. We took her to the vet, who confirmed that the injury was a fresh cut from grooming and not from any medical condition. She did not have a hematoma. They hurt her, and then tried to cover it up. They also asked us to use an old sock to cover the wound, which felt incredibly unprofessional and careless. Since then, our puppy has been extremely uncomfortable. She keeps shaking her head, clearly bothered by her ears, and she has been very sad and withdrawn. This is the first and only time something like this has ever happened to her. I'm beyond disappointed. Not only should they have never charged us for this awful experience, but they should not be handling dogs, especially sensitive breeds like doodles, if they can't do so safely and honestly. The staff was very helpful and accommodating our special request for early pickup. Everything was fine for that visit. The second visit was from a Saturday through Tuesday. We were a little leary of letting our dog join the playtime because we were concerned about large dogs being mixed in with the smaller dogs. But we let them include her in the regular playtimes. When we checked on the cameras, our dog either sat by the attendant or over by a wall away from the other dogs. I don't think she enjoyed the playtime at all. There was one larger dog on camera that looked like it was sort of bullying the other smaller dogs & the attendant did nothing that we could see to correct that situation. After we got her back home, she seemed out of sorts & very skittish for several days. She also had some potty issues after getting back home, and we think she may have gotten slightly dehydrated while she was there.
