They have everything to soap, rinse & flea prevention soap. All the employees are super friendly, efficient and very helpful. They also provide you with some towels. Pet in the city is a fully stocked pet store! I dropped by a few weeks ago to just browse and there was a ton of natural and/or locally sourced food, treats, toys, and anything else you could need. I definitely walked away a little bit lighter but my picky foster pup loved everything that I got him so a win is a win! read more

This place has a great selection, including natural products for your pet. I made it for the first time today, and I immediately loved it. I purchased natural material toys and locally sourced food for my puppy. Pet in the City even has a section to bathe your pet and a washer and dryer for your furry friend's towels and other fabrics. Our favorite pet store! The staff are knowledgeable and willing to help with anything. We love the self-serve dog wash. Well, maybe my dog doesn't like it! I love their selection of local and small business products, and higher quality food. When I had to change my dog's food, they helped me figure out some options, then gave me a bunch of samples to try. UPDATE!! STILL WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!! I am compelled to respond to the managers inaccurate statements below. I would expect this manager to stand with their employee - that does not surprise me. Firstly, all that stuff in the first paragraph is a diversion and has not one thing to do with this issue. I will address the biggest inaccuracy in that the text confirmation contains the service you are getting. IT DOES NOT!! And I have attached my text messages below to prove it. I have the initial text and the reminder and neither mention the service.The service most definitely should be included but IT IS NOT. I have included screen shots but if they are unreadable, I have copied the text below. Secondly I did walk away after being told twice that I had booked a bath. There was no concession because she said she did not have time. All the information on the time I got there and back to the area is irrelevant as I am not complaining about a timeline. I am only giving feedback on my experience but the stores response is to try to discount it with a response full of inaccuracies. And what manager review? No manager was requested to try to remedy this situation in the store. So your manager is just taking the side of the employee. Does the video have audio so you can really hear what your employee said versus just believing what she said versus what I have detailed as what happened? I get my dog in the car and drive all the way there. I was instructed to just go to the back where grooming is located. Normally the groomers come up the front to greet but I am use to the people working here to not be friendliest. Anyhow I overlooked that and went to the back. The groomer came out and asked my dogs name and then said he is just getting a bath? I am like no a groom. It was obvious he needs a cut - why would Ny groomer just want to bathe him. So I said no a groom. When I called and made the appointment I said grooming appointment. She may have put down bath but I have never scheduled just a bath for my dog ever. So then after I said no groom, she looks at the phone I guess where the schedule was located and just matter of factly said 'we'll be was scheduled for a bath' . She said she would do him if she had time but she had no time to groom him. But nothing was said about sorry about our mistake or anything you should do in a situation like this. Not even let me look at the schedule and see where we can fit you in. Nope just he was scheduled for a bath and I don't have time to do him. Like I said my bad for even trying them again. Like the comments below about the bad customer experiences , it is true. We can't all be wrong. So now my pup needs a cut and I have to wait 3-4 weeks out for a decent groomer to become available as appointments are very hard to get now. To the owner: don't bother responding or asking me to reach out because I won't. There is nothing you can do or say to remedy this. Rather spend some time in your store making it better than what it is and take a course on how to hire people with customer service skills. read more

This was my first time coming to pet in the city it was conveniently located right off Monroe Road. I am a new doggy mommy so I dropped in to see what I could find. I was greeted promptly when I entered the store. Tje associates were very bubbly & helpful. The store is small with a variety of pet supplies. I am completely overwhelmed & excited with my new puppy & the associates shared my same excitement. I decided on a cute outfit for Leo, it says "the boss" - perfect. I went here for the first time to try the self serve dog wash. It was awesome and so much easier than washing my boy at home and only $10. He didn't even seem to mind it too much! The 2 people working were so kind and helpful. I wanted to find him a cologne that smelled good and lasted and the young lady helped me out with an awesome recommendation that I love. I was ecstatic and relieved to meet Tara, (the owner), who was so knowledgeable about what I should get my French Bull dog puppy from food, treats, leash, and so many other items. All these things were so reasonably priced and was far better in quality than the overpriced dog items that we first purchased at the larger chain dog store. The dog food we first purchased was $23 and we came to find out that it was nothing but corn) as to the food we purchased at Pets in the City (which has made a huge difference), has mostly protein and better ingredients and it is $13 cheaper. As busy as the store was Tara was with me to answer all my questions and explaining why my dog was having certain behavioral issues. My dog and I went here a couple of months back. I was so impressed with how great they were we have been back already. The store had a great selection of products for pets. They were a little cheaper than Chewy on there specialty dog food and had every dog treat and toy that I could ever want. The self dog wash was amazing. I love that the soap came out of the shower head so you didn't have to juggle a soap dispenser and shower head. There were plenty of towels and aprons available. They even had a hair dryer. Used self-serve dog wash. FUN! I will NEVER wash my dog at home again! The staff was patient and helpful as they taught me how to use the equipment--it was easy-peasy with no mess to clean up. The system works like a car wash; with shampoo, a rinse cycle, and blow dryer all preloaded into the machine-- just push a button to make your selection. They have towels handy as well. Next time I will wear a raincoat (and I suggest you do as well, if your dog likes to shake/attempt to escape)! read more

Pets in the City is wonderful-all the staff are utmost professionals and I have found a lot of different products for my fish and dogs. I have used the dog wash multiple times and just recently my dog Mac had a back spasm and the owner went above and beyond I cannot thank her enough for her compassion! I am thankful both my dogs are doing well and swear by the CBD oil that they carry (use the one with mushroom) I have not used it for a few days and my dogs both demonstrated more pain and lethargy so keeping as a daily medication since it obviously helps them :) read more

The self serve pet wash isnt good for large or medium dogs or dogs with a coat. The "towels" are chihuahua sized and while the store is clean its all appearances, scratch the surface and whats there is very cold pricey and not practical. read more
