I've been coming here for awhile, and sadly it's time to find another boarder…read more The prices go up, the services become less, and my confidence has vanished. When I first came here, it was $45/day and a complimentary bath if the dog stayed there for more than five days. It's now very difficult to get a response when inquiring about availability. And, it appears the neighborhood is changing, and not for the better. In the past, the neighbors would shoot off fireworks on the weekends immediately before, during, and after July 4th. Now, it seems to be a regular occurrence. Many dogs cower with fireworks, and my Black Lab is no exception. I was supposed to pick up my dog tomorrow morning. Fortuitously, I came back a day earlier because my luggage was stolen. So, when I called about when to pick up my dog tomorrow, I was told about my dog's experience with the fireworks. I ended up having to pick him up this evening. Traveling these days is especially stressful, and I don't need the additional stress of worrying about a beloved pet. I never did before when I boarded my dog here, but I have over the last 3 times. I had been too busy to research another venue. But, now, I'm proactively going to find another establishment. In short, now, you can expect delayed responses on inquiries, multiple expectations on when YOU can show up to drop off or pick up your dog, and a equivocation on what they will and will not provide. On the other hand, bills for service-- although often error-probed-- are delivered with stunning alacrity. It pains me to write this review. Nevertheless, I have seen a huge decline in the service that precipitated 2-3 years ago while the prices continued to rise. (To wit, look at reviews that have been 5-9 years ago, and those within the past 3 years. Something has changed.) The constant firework explosions in the neighborhood only add to further disappointment. Alas, as George Harrison once sang, "all things must pass."

Sitting pretty dog resort is one of our favorite place to keep our dogs with less or no worries,…read morewhile out of town. They have a cool set up for dogs to play outside, and inside, while supervised. We felt very confident to leave our two Frenchies here, after our meet and greet with Ashley. We found her knowledge of this breed satisfying and comforting. Lets face it Frenchies are not the easiest dogs to take care of. They cannot get too cold or too hot.. or jump up and down the furniture..... We kept our dogs here anywhere from 2-6 nights and didn't worry about their well being during our trips. While we had plenty not so great experiences with Rover, sitting pretty never disappoints. We appreciate Ashley's experience and ethusiasm about dogs' well-being. PS: most bad reviews came from people that never had their dogs stay at sitting pretty, complained about their prices (that are actually pretty reasonable and competitive for the area), and from people that don't read their requirements (such as wanting to board a large dog in a facility that only cares for small and medium dogs). After all ...... having a happy and healthy dog return home after boarding is a pretty telling sign of good treatment and care. Thank you Ashley and staff for carrying!

In addition to that, they have a new groomer, Erick, that has bathed her a couple times and also does fur cuts. We have been having issues with burrs in our backyard getting stuck in her curly fur (she is a goldendoodle) and he took care of that for me. Now we are set for the summer, and I don't have to worry about digging out burrs on a daily basis. This service makes it so convenient for our family. Plus: Convenient, knows what he is doing, reasonable cost Cons: can't think of any.

5 STARS FOR OUR AMAZING TRAINER JOSH…read more 1 STAR FOR CORPORATE LEAVING US WITH ABRUPT ANNOUNCEMENT OF CANCELLED TRAINING SESSIONS. We had an absolutely amazing experience with Josh as Daisy's trainer, and we truly cannot say enough wonderful things about him. Josh was not just a dog trainer to us--he became someone we trusted, someone who understood our family, and someone who genuinely cared about Daisy and her success. From our very first session, Josh took the time to truly understand Daisy. He learned her personality, her behaviors, her challenges, and our family's concerns. He never judged us or made us feel like Daisy was a "bad dog." Instead, he was patient, compassionate, knowledgeable, and encouraging. He made us feel like we were finally on the right path. Having Josh come to our home made such a huge difference. He was able to work with Daisy in the environment where she actually lives and help us learn how to handle situations as a family. He didn't just train Daisy he trained and educated us as her family too. He always listened to our concerns, answered our questions, and made sure we understood what we could do at home to continue helping her. After only FOUR sessions with Josh, we saw an incredible difference in Daisy. She learned so much in such a short amount of time. Most importantly, she was finally able to coexist with our 3-year-old child and 7-year-old child in a way that we had struggled to achieve before. Now our children love Daisy, they play with her, and we are able to see them building a bond with her. Watching that transformation has meant so much to our family. Josh cared about Daisy like she was more than just another dog he was assigned to train. He genuinely celebrated her progress, understood when she was struggling, and always treated her with patience and kindness. You could tell that he truly cared about both Daisy and our family. We felt comfortable with him, we trusted him, and Daisy trusted him--and that trust is incredibly important when working with a rescue dog. Unfortunately, after our fourth session, we were informed that the company had decided to cut their Dog training program and that Josh would no longer be able to continue training Daisy. We were honestly extremely upset and disappointed. I feel that the company should have allowed us to complete the remaining six sessions of Daisy's training with Josh. We had finally found someone who was willing to understand Daisy, work with her, and help our family. It took a lot for us to get to this point, and stopping her training halfway through felt incredibly discouraging, leaving us out of the dark and what we were going to do next. By that point, we had built a relationship with Josh, and Daisy had built a relationship with him as well. Starting over with someone new after finally finding someone we trusted was very difficult for us. We wish the company had taken that relationship and Daisy's specific circumstances into consideration before making the decision to stop her training with Josh. The most frustrating part is that we were finally seeing the results we had been hoping and working so hard for. Daisy was learning. Our children were becoming comfortable with her. Our family was learning how to better communicate with and understand her. And Josh had become an important part of that progress. Although Daisy's training with Josh has unfortunately stopped, we are incredibly grateful for everything he accomplished with her in just four sessions. He gave Daisy a chance to succeed, and he gave our family confidence that we could help her become the happy, well-adjusted dog we knew she could be. Josh is truly an amazing trainer and an incredible person. His patience, compassion, knowledge, and genuine care for the animals and families he works with are very special. We just wish Doggieland had allowed us to complete the remaining six sessions with Josh. After everything our family and Daisy had been through, we finally found someone who understood her and helped her thrive. Four sessions made such a tremendous difference in our family's life, and we can only imagine how much more progress Daisy could have made if she had been able to finish the full program with Josh. Thank you, Josh, for everything you have done for Daisy and for our family. We will always be grateful that you were the person who helped us see just how much potential our Daisy had.
