(a) If a licensed veterinarian states in writing that within 15 days after the purchaser has taken physical possession of the dog after the sale by a pet dealer, the dog has become ill due to any illness that existed in the dog on or before delivery of the dog to the purchaser, or, if within one year after the purchaser has taken physical possession of the dog after the sale, a veterinarian licensed in this state states in writing that the dog has a congenital or hereditary condition that adversely affects the health of the dog, or that requires, or is likely in the future to require, hospitalization or nonelective surgical procedures, the dog shall be considered unfit for sale, and the pet dealer shall provide the purchaser with any of the following remedies that the purchaser elects: (1) Return the dog to the pet dealer for a refund of the purchase price, plus sales tax, and reimbursement for reasonable veterinary fees for diagnosis and treating the dog in an amount not to exceed the original purchase price of the dog, plus sales tax. (2) Exchange the dog for a dog of the purchaser's choice of equivalent value, providing a replacement dog is available, and reimbursement for reasonable veterinary fees for diagnosis and treating the dog in an amount not to exceed the original purchase price of the dog, plus sales tax. (3) Retain the dog, and reimbursement for reasonable veterinary fees for diagnosis and treating the dog in an amount not to exceed 150 percent of the original purchase price of the dog, plus sales tax on the original purchase price of the dog. (b) If the dog has died, regardless of the date of the death of the dog, obtain a refund for the purchase price of the dog, plus sales tax, or a replacement dog of equivalent value of the purchaser' s choice and reimbursement for reasonable veterinary fees in diagnosis and treatment of the dog in an amount not to exceed the original purchase price of the dog, plus sales tax, if either of the following conditions exist: (1) A veterinarian, licensed in this state, states in writing that the dog has died due to an illness or disease that existed within 15 days after the purchaser obtained physical possession of the dog after the sale by a pet dealer. I think the consensus here is pretty obvious: they have some great deals on pet products, but if it is something that can be "dated" for freshness or effectiveness that you're purchasing from them, be extra-cautious and check it, because the people running this place are known to be great 'con-artists', at the very least, who will stoop to the lowest of levels for your patronage ($$!). I thoroughly believe that the "humanitarian" side of it, far exceeds the "bargain" side, to where the question you need to ask yourself becomes "Do I really want to 'support' a store like this one?" If you've any conscience at all, the answer will come back as a resounding "No!". I guarantee you that all I write here is the absolute truth, not biased, nor vengeful; merely the result of passive observation over the years. You can take my word for it, or not, that's up to you. Con-artists and scandalous business practices seem to go hand in hand; and while the owner, Albert, may at first seem to be all so nice, somewhat soft-spoken, and overly-friendly & helpful; once you've broken through that phony outer-exterior, you will find the that the man inside, the true shop-owner, is anything but.. He's actually quite moody, faking his concern for your animals, while treating the store's animals that are for sale, in unimaginably horrible ways. He's the typical 'store-owner / customer a## -kisser type' that you'll find predominating the business establishments in this particular area of town. The word "shmoozer" comes to mind. The pets for sale at Pet Partners, are the real concern here, for about 90% of them, anyway, are sick, usually to the point of where they shouldn't even be there on display at all; and don't think for a moment that the owner and employees aren't fully aware of it, because they most certainly ARE, but they're all about the quick buck. The animals are kept in tiny little stacked cages in filthy inhumane conditions, for incredibly long periods of time - unless, of course, some kind sympathetic soul takes pity upon them, and takes them the heck out of there. Pet Partners' pets are NOT rescues - this too, I know to be true from experience. This store is unlike any other pet store I've been witness to in my entire lifetime, in all these respects, and no, I'm not exaggerating even the slightest bit here, I wish I was. I could go on and on, but I won't. Bottom line, is that in the owner's eyes, it's all about the money. There is nothing credible about this establishment. It's faked concerns, all as plastic as your credit card. It should be shut down based solely upon the way the animals in those tiny vermin-filled cages are being tortured day after day.. month after month,... year after year. :o( Put them 'the hell out of business', if you really want to do something kind to help the animals. I seriously can't say enough good things about Albert and the entire Pet Partners staff! They've been taking care of Gucci for over a year and a half now, and Albert has become my go-to for pretty much everything -- baths, haircuts, grooming, and anything else I need. I recently moved farther away and I'm honestly so sad about it, but Albert still always makes time for Gucci whenever I need to bring him in. I trust him so much that I'll usually check with him first before running straight to the animal hospital, unless he tells me Gucci really needs to be seen by a vet. He has saved me from so many unnecessary vet bills over the years because he somehow always seems to know what's going on. I swear, he's the dog whisperer! Gucci is always treated with so much care, patience, and love, and that means everything to me. I absolutely adore Albert and the staff and would recommend Pet Partners to anyone looking for someone they can truly trust with their fur baby! read more

This place is horrible this man Albert hires crackheads from the street to take care of our pets. They did something to my Chihuahua because every time we pass by she starts crying and tries to pull away. I know for a fact they did something to her because she never ask like that at any place that I take her for grooming. This place should be shut down or investigated. He sells things from the 99 and sells it for a very high price I know for a fact because I saw his sister that works with him at the 99 and getting products that we use for our pets, please if you guys really love your pet, don't take them to this guy his place should be shut down who knows what this crackheads do to our pets I know he does that because when I went there, he was giving them money and coming from the back where they take our pets to get groomed. Who is taking this review , the store? so they will know what to change, I for along time have felt this is a dog mill, they all look like the same and they never have like a real off looking dog that isnt a full blooded or close to, what are the odds, and the doggies look so sad, and sedated almost. It may very well be that that cage is all they see, i asked once where do they get out, and he said , there is a big area in the back. Sure they act nice , like there covering themselves . I see the neglect in there cages too. I couldnt buy the dry dog food there, because dogs have such kein noses , mine does and the bags take on the odor of the store yuk its afull. mine has refused the dry food before until that dawned on me. read more

Shut this hell hole down once and for all. Have you ever been brave enough to venture upstairs and find the living conditions of $4000 parrots and sore infested snakes piled into tiny 20 gallon aquariums? It's Enough to make any person with a heart question the morality of this business. The same puppies that sit in 2 foot high wire kennels downstairs for months at a time are sad enough as it is. So I've been looking for a good groomer for some time. Most groomers don't want to work with my doggie since she can be easily stressed. I came here and right away they were able to understand her. She was so calm and did so well here. When I got her back she smelled so good and got some cute bows added to her. I will definitely keep coming back for her service. Also, I found so many healthy snacks while waiting to get her checked in. I would highly recommend coming to check this spot out. read more

Everytime I went here I was over charged. The owner is rip off!! Also he really doesn't care for animals because no body who loves animals would be selling them when u could go save a life at one of the many shelters around here in Long Beach. The animals are keep in small dirty cages sometimes w/ way too many animals in one cage!! All he cares about is money not the welfare of animals! Please do not shop here!! Took my Pom here yesterday for the first time and the reviews about the lectures and jokes are true but I don't feel it comes from a bad place. My puppy looked very handsome and smelled so good! Got some free food samples, but it was pricey! My 6lb Pom had a sanitary groom with flea drops, a collar, harness and leash and my total was $194. I'm 50/50 about this place after reading reviews but my personal experience was decent. read more

In year 2003 I noticed a few dogs that got bigger until they could hardly move in the same cage, I don't think they ever walk them at all. These guys are shifty at best, if you read the other reviews you can quickly determine this is not a place to visit. I will not get into the specifics but in a business dealing they gave us the run around on payment which indicates what type of people run the establishment. If you love your pets, please reconsider a place to have them groomed. A friend brought their pups to be groomed and the groomer either cut too close around the eyes or used hot clippers. If you saw the pups you would cry. Be forewarned pet parents this is not the place to go. read more

I took my Cat to this place & got serious fleas. I know it was this place because my Cat never leaves the house. I am so pissed at them and will never go back to this flea infested nasty place. I feel bad for the locked up animals. Beware pet owners for fleas! read more
