Came across this rescue on social media and wanted to volunteer. I got in contact with the right person and began to strategize on a schedule and I was communicative with appropriate time too but conflicts began to occur. I had a scheduled volunteer day and time and woke up on time to go and i texted POC to confirm and they told me that the other volunteer wouldn't be in (if i didnt confirm with a text i probably would have shown up without notice) and i reached out to schedule another day and received no word. I would say i am fairly patient and understanding person with rescues because they are so busy but i would recommend for this rescue to have a dedicated staff member to help volunteers and have a calendar put together and just be better organized. I unfortunately wont be volunteering here anymore. They are doing good work but im bummed because i did want to volunteer here but as a person that values organization it just didnt fit. read more

A rescue that's thorough with their screening. They want to find absolute right person for the pets, so I don't understand why leave a bad review just because you don't qualify. There's probably reason that they didn't pick you. A lot of pet need special care or particular family and can't go with just anyone. (Example, some pets are not good with kids). Remember this is a rescue and not a breeder. If they try so hard to save an animal, they don't want the chance for the pets to be returned/dumped if the family find out it's not a good fit. I understand people might not be happy since they are not qualified but didn't need to leave a bad review just for that...after all we all love animals and just want them to find a good home to live happily ever after. We adopted two cuties today, they are a bonded pair, so rescue really want them to go as a pair. Most people only applied adoption for 1 cat, so we got selected. The rescue does everything in animal best interest, and thank you for giving us a chance and two beautiful kittens. read more

Pet Rescue Solutions was fabulous! Their staff was extremely genuine, caring and professional. I am so upset that I did not get the woman's name sitting at the front, but, she was very helpful and patient with my sister and I when we came in after our dog went missing. We found them online and decided to come in after our dog went missing today. Upon arrival, the woman at the front desk began creating flyers and posting our dog on local lost and found pet pages. They even provided us with tape and a map of where to post the flyers. She was extremely helpful and truly cared about helping us bring our baby home. Within a few hours, our dog was found safe! We were beyond elated and happy to know that this place is here to assist with any of our pet needs. She provided us with information regarding their services. The place is very nice and clean. Bad experience trying to adopt a dog from this organization. While on the one hand you have dog rescue organizations that want to help animals find loving homes, on the other hand, you have over-zealous, game-playing, control freak organizations like Pet Rescue Solutions. I filled out an application 4 weeks ago for a dog and received an email saying they would look at my application and get back with me. No word from them since. I have called them everyday since trying to get more information about when I can meet the dog and they keep dodging the questions, ignoring my emails. Today I find out the dog I wanted has been adopted. These people are control freaks and like to play games with you and feel self-righteous while doing it. They end up hurting their own cause, which should be to help animals--not to pat themselves on the back for being "good" people. I am so disgusted with the lot of them. read more

If I could give PRS zero stars, I would. I submitted an application for a kitten almost a month ago, and sent a follow up email asking when I could hear back. I received no response, so I sent another email. No response, so I called and left a message. Again, no response, or any acknowledgment whatsoever that I had even submitted an application. All the while, PRS is regularly posting on their social media attempting to solicit donations and whatever else. Almost a month later, I check the kitten's petfinder page to see it has been adopted. If you're thinking about adopting from this rescue, don't even bother. These kinds of elitist, gatekeeping rescues are the reason why adopting pets is such a miserable experience these days, and their responses to reviews saying to "go to a shelter" are utterly insulting. That said, do go to a shelter. Go somewhere that actually cares about getting animals into homes and making their lives better, instead of whatever animal-hoarding nonsense this rescue is. read more

The easiest and most caring place to adopt a pet. I got my loving pitbull Flash who received a bed, treats, and food when I adopted him. They are so caring and want these animals to go to a safe home. They always check up and see how the adjustment is going, they have so many amazing pets still there to adopt that I wish I could adopt them all. It's sad to see negative reviews on a place that truly cares about the animals that they are working with. I have been to a few different animal shelters/rescues in the greater Los Angeles area (we are a rescue family) and this is by far one of the best, if not thee best. All of the workers here truly care for the animals and put the animals first. Some people are just not fit to adopt animals due to financial issues and living environments and if you aren't fit for those reasons you should not be able to care for a fur baby because they're not just a "pet", they are part of your family, and they understand that here. If you are willing to work with them they will work with you and find the best solution for the ALL of animals that they work with and are up for adoption. Don't be harsh on a place that genuinely cares about the fur babies and puts them first! 10/10, highly recommended, there needs to be more places where the fur babies (even if they don't have fur) are genuinely cared for. I have filled out applications for a dog to be adopted. I am shocked by their lack of communication. I live in El Monte and have my own house and work from home--and yet after filling out and application and with a promise that I will hear something from this organization, I never heard anything. They kept telling me that they would call back but they never did. The dog I am looking at would work well as I have the kind of medication the dog needs available to me. Then they told me the dog was being given to someone who works there. I honestly just think this nonprofit is a front for some sort of animal hoarding situation. Not that I don't admire what they do because I do, but their lack of communication, lack of follow through, and lack of consideration in placing the dog with someone that could accommodate the dog's unique needs leaves something to be desired. read more

I am writing this review based on the customer service and processing provided by this agency. I think it's wonderful what they do, but that doesn't mean they're wonderful at being efficient. I submitted an application for a pup and the clarity of instructions, processing time and lack of information has been disappointing. Now, I understand the puppy I submitted an application for probably has a lot of applicants (he's too cute!). But this organization has been terrible with keeping me up to date with processing and getting back to me. Here are some of the hiccups: 1. Never received a confirmation email until I called them to ask if they got my application. 2. They told me it would take 1-2 days for a call back to do a meet and greet with the puppy to check if your "serious" about wanting it. Waited a couple days... never heard back... so again I called and when I spoke to them, they said that my application was missing pictures... on the online application it says pictures will be asked for LATER in the process IF NEEDED. No where does it say you need to attach it with the online application, there isn't even a function on their web portal to do that! Clearly they don't even know they're own process for applying. Lastly, They said a decision would be made at the end of the week... so what happened to the meet and greet? Is that no longer a thing? Guess not. 3. Of course... I never heard back on a decision. So I called on the following Wednesday (today) and they told me they were still deciding but that they would give me a call back in 30 min anddd you guessed it... I never got a call back! I'm sure they do great work for animals, but the point is to have people want to adopt from you. I rather just go to SEAACA! read more

Bad experience with this place. We saw on FB of a trio of dogs up for adoption. We filled out an application, called twice, went to the place, and commented on the FB page that we wanted 2 of the 3 dogs. All we got was an email that said they were screening applications. Meanwhile, within 10 days, I am calling, waiting to hear back... but I saw via FB that a girl that worked there got one of the dogs. I commented again to see what was the update on the dogs and no response. Today, we get an email that just said we didn't get the dogs. I do not think anyone could have shown more interest in those dogs, like us. Especially, as the dogs were siblings, we were willing to take both dogs. When I called in, they hardly knew what they were doing. I will never try to adopt from them again. read more

What PRS does is absolutely beautiful! I've fostered from them multiple times, over the years and their kindness and love has never changed. I have family members and friends who have adopted from them and have told me that their process was wonderful. Such great and wonderful people working here! We brought in a lost dog we found on the streets today (it was raining). They were more then helpful and offered to see if he had a microchip. Luckily, he did and they were able to contact the owner. Meanwhile waiting for the owner to arrive we played with the beautiful Husky named Kobe. The two sweet ladies even offered me a dog tag for my pup!!! read more

They are the nicest people ever. They do the best they can to find the best homes for dogs. People dont understand that multiple people are applying for one dog meaning you might not be the best fit. It was my first time arriving to Pet Rescue Solutions and I can say that I did enjoy the atmosphere it provided rather that of a shelter. I came in to adopt a kitten. I wasn't quite sure what to expect while I was waiting in a room while one of the employees was gathering all the required paper work. Once I was done I was surprised by the cute little runt I've been wanting for a while. What came more to a surprise was the goody basket for the baby I received. Found a pair of Dogs I wanted to adopt. Filled out the app. Asking for both. Heard nothing. So I called them they found my app by that time one of the dogs was adopted. I still wanted the other dog. They sent me a nice email pic of the dog and asked me to get in touch with them. So I replyed to there email and got no response. So I called them and asked for the girl who emailed me to respond, and they told me they would. Called Eva again no call back. So I waited until the next day, no email again so I called again, and they adopted the dog to someone else. Not much else I could have done. We wanted that dog, it sucks. They sent me an email with a pic and never responded to me. These dog rescue places are a pain. We are bummed. read more

I honestly wish I could give this place 0 stars but sadly that's not an option. Me and my dads girlfriend are trying to give 2 dogs a new home and we've been searching for weeks we saw maple and Scarlette on they're website; the website stated that the "puppies" were 4 months old and had been brought in together as "sibling" so us not wanting to separate them with the assumption they were together we wanted both of them. We drove to there office and made an appointment 3 days in advance to see both of the puppies when we got there on Thursday she said that Scarlette wasn't able to make it which was really upsetting since we had just drove 40 minutes to see them and they didn't even call us in advance saying she wasn't able to make it. They also told us that they were 5-6 months now when on the website it said 4 months, and maple looked nothing like her pictures. All three workers we encountered didn't seem to know what they were doing and maple was trying to bite us. All I got to say is that they are very unorganized and sketchy if you are looking to adopt I suggest that you don't come here. read more
