We had an issue with my lockbox but they were so gracious and kind as we worked through it together. They spoiled him in his last days. On the final day it was reported my kitty had thrown up. When I got home he had not improved and I brought him to the vet. Unfortunately, his cancer had spread and I had to say goodbye. This had nothing to do with the care VPS gave Archer. In fact, I think the care they gave him helped him wait for me. When I am ready for a furry friend again, I will be using this company and will recommend them to all my friends.

I kept thinking I made the wrong decision because I had several business trips planned, and several days at work where I just couldn't be at home to let him out for a potty break and keep consistency with his time to play, rest, and potty train. I heard about Valley Pet Sitting years ago when I had my first precious boy, but although I called them, it turned out I didn't need them because I had family that could pitch in when I was away. They literally saved my life with my new puppy. They come to the house and give me a play-by-play of everything they did with my puppy (including taking pictures and videos of him playing in the backyard with them) on their app. They also use a Gio tag so you can see where they are when you pooch goes for a walk or just plays in the backyard. The sitters are kind, knowledgeable, and thorough. They asked me every detail about how I take care of him and what's important to me in my home to make sure they don't leave anything disturbed. They even called to make sure that it was OK for him to be on the couch when he made a decision to take a nap during a visit. They are exceedingly responsive and reasonably price for the quality of care and peace of mind I get from their support. When I called Barks N Rec, Debbie invited me in for a tour and spent so much time answering my questions and putting my mind completely at ease. Her kindness and genuine love for the dogs were evident from the very beginning. Our pup came in for his Discovery Day, and honestly, he had so much fun that he didn't want to leave! That was all the reassurance I needed. To say they take exceptional care of every dog is an understatement. Every dog's individual personality and needs are taken into consideration each and every day. At one point, our pup needed special accommodations and separation from the other dogs after a minor procedure. Without hesitation, Debbie, Val, and the entire staff made sure he received the extra attention, exercise, love, and care he needed while he recovered. Knowing he was in such compassionate hands meant everything to us. One of my favorite features is the ability to check the live pup cameras throughout the day. I love being able to see who he's hanging out with and catch him having fun with his friends. And don't even get me started on Woof Woof Wednesdays! They are absolutely adorable. From puppuccinos and dog-themed arts and crafts to water play and other fun enrichment activities, there's always something exciting happening. Our entire family trusted Barks N' Rec with our dogs for years. We always paid full price, never…read moreasked for compensation, and whenever we had concerns, we spoke directly with the facility because we believed they deserved the chance to improve. Before Whiskey's last stay, we met with the owner, Deb, about concerns that he was spending too much time in a kennel during daycare. There was also an incident where an employee brought a drink into the play area, causing the dogs to crowd around it. We were told staff would be spoken to, Whiskey would receive his full meals, and he wouldn't be kenneled during scheduled playtime. While my daughter was giving birth to her first baby, Whiskey stayed from June 29 through July 3. We provided detailed feeding instructions, fresh chicken, supplements, and treats that were part of his meals. When he came home, much of that food was still unopened. Valerie later acknowledged by text that his treats had been missed because they were fully booked over the holiday weekend. I was also told they had over 100 dogs and were rotating dogs between play yards and kennels because of the number of dogs they had accepted. That was disappointing because we paid for daycare so he could play and socialize, not spend extra time kenneled due to overcrowding. Whiskey also came home with a cut under his ear that was never disclosed. What disappointed us most wasn't that mistakes happened--it was how they were handled. After acknowledging the feeding mistake, we were told our expectations would be better met somewhere else. I'm sharing this because dog daycare facilities are trusted with members of our families. I truly hope Barks N' Rec reflects on this experience and improves. Unfortunately, after giving multiple opportunities to address our concerns privately, our family has decided we will no longer be bringing our dogs there.

We get the cutest report cards with photos and little notes about her day, which always makes us smile. The obvious warmth, kindness and adoration for pets was so reassuring, it felt like we were leaving Page with family. Throughout the next 4 days and 3 nights Laura was great about updating us and sending us pictures, and it was clear Page was feeling like she was on vacation too.
