The facility is clean, well-organized, and full of fun activities to keep the dogs engaged. My dog, a French Bulldog, is not the easiest so early socialization was a must. We have been going to Tails by the Wayside for 3 years now and I always feel confident knowing he's in good hands! For daycare, there are plenty of play areas, both indoors and outdoors, so dogs of all sizes can have fun safely. The staff members are always keeping a watchful eye on the dogs. As a small business, I know my dog isn't just a paycheck. They truly care about him and his wellbeing, which is not something you find easily!! I board my dog at least 6 times a year, sometimes for 2 weeks at a time. There are not many places I trust to board, so I'm so thankful to Heather and her team! The drop off and pickup process is so easy. They make sure to follow the medication and feeding schedule. I am always able to enjoy my trips without any worries, knowing my pup was getting personalized care. I highly recommend Tails by the Wayside to anyone looking for a safe, fun, and loving place for their dog. Their attention to detail and the comfort they provide both for pets and their owners is unmatched!!

Miss Violet usually streaks upstairs when she hears a car pull into the driveway, and there she keeps watch from the top step, expecting pillage and mayhem and the demise of us all .... unless it's Mary. Then she comes downstairs quickly and purrs loudly while directing long, meaningful glances toward her sitter. She's utterly shameless in her admiration for Mary. We try to ignore Miss Violet's outlandish behaviour, but sometimes wonder if we should spend more time at home -- put a little damper on this foolish infatuation. There was a crisis three years ago when Miss Violet swallowed a long string, and we weren't due back for another week. Mary handled the situation beautifully and kept us abreast of what was going on before and after the procedure to remove it. (Thanks, Mary!) Mary has apologized for endearing herself so to Miss Vi, and we forgive her wholeheartedly. She's become indispensable to our gadabout family. I can't recommend Mary Littlefield highly enough to anyone who travels and needs to leave a shy kitty at home.

I truly feel as though she loves my dog like she is her own, and when we lost our great dane recently Mary could not have been more kind. Our consult was with Nance, and she was very patient in explaining the process and talking us through some initial things that we were struggling with. Then, we started with a training package that included 3 private training classes and 2 months of group obedience classes. We also went to a few puppy kindergarten classes. Nicole did the majority of our trainings and she has been a god-sent. She is very good with the dogs, and her energy level makes the training classes fun both for us and our dog. We learned a lot from Nicole and she helped us to feel a lot less stressed out and actually enjoy the puppyhood. The obedience class is set up like a monthly subscription, where you can go to as many classes as you want. We end up going about 3-4 times a week for 30 minutes, as it is a great activity to mentally exercise our dog and provide socialization while working alongside other dogs. We also started bringing our dog to their dog day camp 2x a week. Tim was also very patient in explaining the process. The dog day camp has been great in getting her to play with other dogs and allows her to learn obedience from others aside from us.

It's remarkable to see the progress that they make with her and how much they enjoy their training sessions! We are so lucky to have her expertise, she has changed the lives of so many dogs!
