Holy bird lovers emporium! Wow. I had no idea there was this much merchandise and equipment…read moreassociated with birds. And there were at least 10 people in the place shopping around, so this stuff must be pretty popular! Anything you need for the following: --bird watching: informational books, audio to "train" your ears, various sorts of vision aids such as binoculars, and I'm sure so much more --birds as pets (or wild birds): seed--and I'm talking dog food sized bags of seed, birdhouses, cages, fountains or bird baths... --bird lovers in general: t-shirts, hats, jewelry Again--I am not a bird enthusiast, I mean I do like them and all, but this store almost had me gearing up to go on a bird-watching expedition. It was pretty cool. A whole new shopping adventure!

I had never heard of The Wood Thrush till I went with Dream Girl a few months ago. She buys bird…read moreseed there and we went to get a replacement feeder. The selection was huge and she found just what she wanted. I have been back with her several times since and have enjoyed looking at the many things for sale there. The owner is knowledgeable not only about the inventory, but about birds in general. DG's birds eat a lot better than the ones stopping in my yard who dine on seed from Wally World. I have compared the two and The Thrush's is of better quality - fatter seeds and less trash. I also noticed what appeared to be better quality suet cakes as well. Each year I buy a couple of those Nyger thistle seed socks at Wally's to hang up at the family summer place. They attract many goldfinches and we enjoy watching them. Two different stores were sold out, so I stopped by The Thrush to see what they had. They had what I needed, albeit more expensive and I have to load the socks myself. The seed is likely fresher so we'll soon know if better seed attracts more birds. You get what you pay for the adage has it, and it appears that you do here. I would return if I needed a new bird feeder, but my Nashville birds will have to continue to dine on their "fast food" diet from Wally World and fly a few blocks to DG's for their Jimmy Kelly's "steak dinner"!

I've taken my little Yorkie to the Green Hills location a couple of times. Holland was the groomer,…read moreand he did an excellent job. Today, I dropped off my dog with a different groomer, Janelle. Holland still works there, but he was out today. A few hours later, I received a frantic phone call asking me to pick up my dog immediately. They claimed his tongue was blue and he had weakness in his back legs causing him not to stand. I rushed to pick him up. He was obviously traumatized. Oddly enough, Janelle said she had no idea what was wrong. She claimed that my dog tried to choke himself and that she couldn't finish the grooming appointment. Honestly, that sounded really strange and very dramatic to me. How does a dog choke himself?!?!! Upon later inspection, turns out, my dog's private area was shaved too closely. The poor fella had razor burn that was painful to the touch. No wonder he wouldn't stand to let her finished. I sure as heck wouldn't either. I guess he was "choking himself" to escape the abuse he was feeling. It really makes me sad that happened to him. I called back to let them know about the razor burn. I felt like they needed to know in hopes Janelle isn't allowed to hurt another dog.

Please get this place to close! It is not safe! Still so shook to see my dog and shamed how LAZY and TERRIBLE groomers did to my dog!
