The managers were so nice and easy to work with! One manager offered to help me get some stuff I bought to my car, greatly appreciated!!

Stood outside the store 20 minutes before closing to find out that they'd already locked the doors!! The guy saw me and refused to open the door or answer my calls!!! I called for 15 minutes straight and they didn't pick up!! It just rang nonstop!! I just wanted to pick up my dang order, but noo, they couldn't be bothered to even bring it to the door or hear anything I had to say! He just proceeded with whatever he was doing as if he didn't see me standing there, through the glass. Usually this Petco is sooo nice and everyone is so friendly, but their customer service has severely gone downhill recently. It's awful!! There's like never anyone ever at the register when you're trying to checkout! Barely anyone there to help!! You're usually spending at least a quarter of the trip just trying to find someone to help with something. They used to be so friendly and helpful every single time I went in there!! Debbie is still the greatest trainer in all the land and the grooming team is SO nice!! I can usually always get an appointment last minute here! And the store usually has a pretty large inventory to choose from whether it be treats or food and they usually have really good deals! So, two starts for all of that!! Booked an appt for my dog to get a bath and was told I booked with someone who is not yet fully trained and can't fulfill all of the bath responsibilities.... Waste of my time driving to this location to then have to leave because there were no other groomers on site. The booking system on their app did not indicate that I was booking with someone incapable of fulfilling said service. Awful, don't recommend. read more

I called ahead to see if they have a silver bone pet ID tag... Matt told me they carried them, however, my mistake... I didn't ask if there were any IN STOCK. Once I get there, I don't see any of the kind of tag I need. I asked a guy at the register if he would please come and look to see if I'm just not seeing it or if it's not there. Nope, it's not in stock... I asked him if he would help me contact another location before I trek all over Nashville. At this point, he's speaking with another employee and voilà, CAT comes to my rescue... she looked in a drawer near the checkout register and found the kind of tag I need. But my problem wasn't solved there, the font options are nothing like what is advertised on Petco.com (see picture attached)... She said the font options in the tag making machine are universal to all Petco Stores across America. Bottom Line: a) CAT IS A ROCKSTAR: If you need any reliable help when visiting this store be sure and ask for Cat. b) Website font not an option in actual store: Unacceptable, false advertising! read more

I ask my nephew to go get someone because we where looking at a hamster and wanted to see it better the lady with black and white hair refused to come help us she was saying she did not wanna get bitten by it yet we where only ask her to move it house so we could see it then my sister went up there and ask if she could come help once again the lady stated she wasn't going to come over there and help because she was scared to get bitten so when we got her to finally come over there and just move the hamster house so we could actually see it and there was another dude who also works there sitting there telling her that she is going to get bitten but she did not get bitten by it. it has very poor service I would never recommend no one to go there read more

MY DOG HAD TO UNDERGO AMPUTATION AS A RESULT OF THEIR GROOMING. Really wish I could give this negative stars. My dog is well-behaved and has 4 yrs of groomers praising his training. He's gone to multiple training classes and I groom him at home regularly and he sits still. The entire team at this petco was absolutely & ridiculously undertrained and underprepared to handle the situation when their groomer (Sara Eagle) cut off my dog's back paw's dewclaw. I was told they by Cat/Kat (you'll learn later) that they don't have a General Manager I can discuss this with. Jay called me 2 hours after I dropped my dog off with 0 information - likely because he wasn't given any information himself. Jay told me they were taking him to a Blue Pearl in Franklin and after I informed them there was a closer one, they said they couldn't take him there because it was not available (I heard a back and forth speaker convo between Jay and Cat/Kat trying to figure out why she hadn't looked into the nearer hospital). I drove over half an hour to the Franklin Blue Pearl immediately only to learn from the Blue Pearl team after 10-15 minutes that Petco had decided to take him to the Blue Pearl I informed them of (nobody called me from petco to tell me this). I called petco and after a brief hold, Jay answered and told me he did not know where they were, and after calling Cat/Kat (again I hear their back and forth over the speaker) he was informed for what seemed to be the first time that I was to drive 30+ minutes back to the Blue Pearl they were actually at. When I got there a woman who I had never met or talked to was sitting there texting on her phone (I learned her name is Cat/Kat after asking but she refused to give me her last name "I don't have to give you my last name" is what she said when I asked for a business card). She informed that they were more than willing to give me a FREE BAG OF DOG FOOD to make up for this incident. Before I had even seen my dog. Before I was even sure he was well. That's the level of training they have. Cat/Kat also informed they have no official list of nearby emergency vets and she simply looked up blue pearls on her phone and she had only seen the one in Franklin AND THAT WAS WHY she didn't think to go to the one nearby. And it was me informing them that made her realize where she was to go. She had 0 compassion, 0 kindness or understanding, 0 willingness to support me. And yet she informed me that she was the only person I could talk to about this incident. It was disgusting to sit in here and hear Cat/Kat offer me a free grooming with a different groomer to make up for it. With no information as to what would happen to prevent this from happening again. I am appalled at the way they have treated the most precious thing in my entire life. I urge you to never take your dog there ever. Injuries happen and I first responded with understanding and grace, but it's the way they handled the injury that is absolutely distasteful and broke my heart. BY THE WAY THE BLUE PEARL TEAM INFORMED ME that Cat/Kat's excuse as to why they hurt my dog is because they "didn't know the dewclaw was there". The Blue Pearl team was appalled that someone who should be trained on a dog's anatomy could even say that and that I was offered a free bag of dog food for my troubles. My dog's entire dewclaw was amputated as a result of this incident. Please, please, don't take your dog anywhere near this place. I'm begging you. There was no thought into what they would do to make sure this never happened again. They don't even have a printed paper of nearby emergency hospitals. They aren't doing the bare minimum to care of your baby. And if this happened to you here, I urge you to leave a review so that people won't have a similar experience. read more

I am a regular at this particular Petco Most of the time I interact with Debbie, Jay or other cool staff! Today I came across the store manager and he was very uncool to me! Very short and abrasive with a pinch of condescension! I did not appreciate his treatment or his abrasive attitude! If you are having a bad day the costumer should not know it! That is management 101! This is the store leader? Abrasive, rude and dismissive? Petco should do better with the leaders they choose! All the other staff is helpful and kind! I have had such wonderful experiences at this location! Debby is a wonderful trainer who runs the training classes -- she has been awesome at helping me and my pup master training! Cashiers and store workers have always been helpful and available to answer any questions. I've also used their grooming services for my pup to get her nails trimmed and they did a great job. I've been going to this location since the end of 2018. I'm a fish keeper & dog owner. I love their changes to the dog section. Great discount on the size of the food I buy. Fish side of things, they've gotten worse. Around the middle of 2019, things turned for the worse. Territorial fish kept with none-aggressive fish. Fishes in the inventory started becoming looked more stressed. I see more dead fish in the tanks. I won't be buying any fish from here again. read more

I drove out to this one, in Bellevue for the Indigo Moon dry cat food and thank goodness it was in stock. I can't settle for anything less. The store is clean, wide isles, knowledgeable staff.. They know exactly where everything is kept. If it was possible to give zero stars, I would. DO NOT GO HERE! Recently took my white goldendoodle here to be bathed and brushed. Because of her poodle-like hair, she is prone to matting. I hurriedly picked her up from her appointment to head home... BIG MISTAKE. The morning after as we were heading out of town I realized her entire neck, tummy, bottom, back legs, ears, etc. had turned into one big mat.Thinking that I could get them out myself, I have spent 2-3 hours A DAY dematting her hair with a special brush. Well it is now 7 days since that grooming and there's no hope. No matter how much I brush and condition she's ridden with deep, huge mats... even our vet was appalled at what she felt like. So now I have no choice but to shave my sweet goldendoodle's fur and wait for it to grow back. Im so mad. I will never grace the doors of this petco or any other petco again. read more

I do not love this store as much as PetSmart. This store is clean and well organized but it is small. I do like that they have small pets for sale, such as ferrets. There were 6 playing and wrestling around one day that I visited so cute! My puppy watched them and didn't know what to think. Due to the size of the store, there isn't a lot of choices but the products they offer are nice. I feel Petco is a bit pricier than PetSmart. I have a miniature dog so it's difficult to find harnesses that work for her but I found one here. $16, though but it did come with a leash. I've made a couple trips out here even though the location isn't as convenient for me as PetSmart. Staff are friendly and helpful. For a change from the norm, I recommend this store. read more

When I told the young man that I wasn't happy and had specific instructions, he replied that it will grow back. I was overcharged for the grooming cut today. I tried reasoning with the girl who cut him and she argued that he was a "long hair" dog and that is more expensive. I told her he WASN'T a long haired dog and that I had never been charged extra before and she argued that I have been charged wrongly in the past. I was extremely impressed with this pet store. I recently purchased a drinking fountain for my cat online. I came to this location to return it, because my cat would not drink from it. I can't remember his name, but a man who works there (I believe he is a manager) took the time to help me find a different fountain and educate me all about cat behavior. My cat LOVES the new fountain and I no longer have to worry about him becoming dehydrated. This store is my new go to place for all my cat supplies! read more

I moved to the Bellevue area almost a year ago and have been taking my dog to various other groomers prior to taking him to Petco. Never found any place that I loved. Can fully say that I will bring my dog back to Petco in Bellevue to get groomed by Carson. He was very nice and did a wonderful job. My dog always scratches after he is groomed and he has not been itchy at all. Prices are comparable to all other groomers around town. If anything, Petco was a little cheaper. read more

Despite being busy stocking, he stopped to help me and looked up the proper info so I could get the right kind of product. I have gone in this store a few times while stocking my aquarium. At first I thought the bearded employee that works in that department was just very passionate about his job when he was telling which fish I "can't" have. It wasn't him making polite suggestions it was him saying with an attitude "you're an idiot, why are you trying to buy fish in my store." At first just thought his was him being passionate and maybe lack of social skills. After about my 3rd time now going in for small fish I have realized he just has an attitude and thinks he's better than anyone. There is no understanding smile or tone when you ask this guy a question. All you get is the side glance look like you're wasting his time. Honestly have no idea how he sells anything. My wife has gone in separately and had the same experience. Aquatic critters has never made us feel the way this manager has made us feel in every occasion. I'm only reviewing this store based on the grooming department. I like the pet store itself, but its the grooming that keeps me coming back. The girls are always so thorough on my dogs grooming. He has a little bit of anxiety, but the girls there always are so sweet with him at the front. Every time I pick him up his fur is trimmed exactly how I asked, his fur is nice and white, and he is in great spirits! We went for a vet visit today and he asked what my dogs teeth routine is. I told him the girls at petco take care of it and he said his teeth look fantastic! I'm not sure how the pricing compares to other groomers in the area, because we only go to Petco, but it seems very fair whenever I check out. Overall I have nothing but positive things to say about their grooming department! Well, I'm updating this review from the previous one. I'm leaving the original up so you can compare the differences. They clearly hired new staff in the grooming department and they aren't nearly as pleasant as the former staff. They automatically booked my dog for grooming without my consent or knowledge. So when I called to ask them about it they were rude when I said we couldn't make it to that scheduled appointment. Had they called and asked if he could be scheduled, they would've known we were traveling that week. Plus, they seem too eager to sell product to you now. My dog has been on the same diet for a year. We have dabbled in various brands to find what he likes. Of course, the new girl spent 15 minutes trying to convince me to purchase the most expensive food in the store. It's a bummer too because we did love coming here. Unfortunately, after getting a nasty attitude for canceling an appointment they made without my knowledge or consent, we will not be returning. Very disappointed. I don't frequent this store unless it's cold outside and I can't wash my lab mixes with a hose in my driveway. Checked the website before leaving home and it said they still offered self service dog wash. Drive 20 minutes with my dirty dogs and... You guessed it: no more self service wash. The tub is still there, they just won't let anyone use it. When I asked why they didn't offer it and more importantly, why their website didn't reflect the change, I got a shrug for an answer. No wonder I never come here for anything else. And I won't ever be back again. read more

We took our old English bulldog for a bath there. They were able to get us in last min which was great but we def sacrificed a good bath for the convenience. No matter where he has been he comes out looking fresh and white. This time he came out with some of the same yellowing of his fur. The bath took 3 hours so just curious what exactly they did.
