We went to this place for the first time, the Pet Supermarket, because it is so close to our house, and we wanted to try it out. EXCELLENT customer service! We have been to the store twice, and each time, greeted with a smile, and an associate asks how they can help. The associate we dealt with was kind and knowledgeable. They helped us pick food, appropriate treats for a puppy, and toys; I Highly recommend this store. I like shopping here because there is always someone to help you and I don't have to search for someone to ask a question. Great selection of quality foods and treats that I can feel good about giving my dogs. They also have a bath station available at different prices. It starts from $10. You can bathe your dog with all the facilities, dryer, shampoo, and towels, where available, and the station is clean and tidy. read more

New staff is very nice. The only thing that has changed that I don't like is the towels being replaced from microfiber to regular terry cloth towels. Not sure why they got rid of the good towels. Oh, the price went up from $10 to $15. read more

There always seems to be an abundance of employees standing around the register not really doing anything in particular other than talking. My main complaint is this however - I came in the day after I purchased a reptile water bowl. It was too big for the terrarium so I came back the next day after purchasing with the receipt. I was being "helped" by a girl named Madi. She asked me for my information to do the return & I told her I did not have an account with them nor did I put the purchase under an account with them. She proceeded to tell me that it was policy that they needed information to do the return (even though I had the original receipt, ID & CC the purchase was made under). She then proceeded to ask me for very personal information - Phone Number, Address, Full Name. I'm sorry but there is absolutely zero reason that a business would require all this specific information to do a return so I proceeded to give her a very obvious fake information due to it being my right to protect my personal private information. Miss Madi then decided to get a HUGE toddler sized attitude and slammed the bowl down on another counter and continued to huff and puff in disagreement. This only made me want to be even more of a Karen and snap an attitude right back. First of all - I get it, you're just trying to follow a ludicrous policy that your job makes you follow HOWEVER there is a much more adult and professional way to have a disagreement with a customer and that definitely was not it. So one star for the horrible customer service as well as their extremely over there top requirements for simple returns. read more

I love this store and do does my old dog! Danalyn is an excellent assistant manager and all the staff really does a great job. I did have a bad experience Sunday with a very rude employee but any place can make a bad hire and employees can be fake. But Danalyn came out to check me out and everything worked out. I love this place! To me the smaller store atmosphere is a lot better than the bigger stores who don't care about their animals (they are usually sick and dirty and not accustomed to being around people) nor their customers (bad attitude or flat out ignoring you). The Pet supermarket has everything I could need for my cats & hermit crabs !! Very wonderful atmosphere and for dog lovers, a very wide dog supplies selection. I was able to use the self-service dog wash with some help from the staff when setting up my pup. The store is clean with a large variety of products. I wish the bird section was bigger and had more toys for big birds, but I understand that not many people have them. Overall, pretty great! read more

Friendly staff, clean and well-stocked store! We have been coming to the new Pet Supermarket near our house for a few months now. They have a point system and can use rewards towards purchases. We take our dog for baths, it's so convenient and like that they have plenty of towels to dry my dog since she hates the air dryer. read more

Really wanted to like this store because I like supporting smaller businesses, but I just had one of the worst customer service experiences of my life. Bought a 10 gallon fish tank ($130), went home, spent 4 hours setting it up, but the tank has a really bad leak. So I call them, and the girl there said they'll just give me my money back. So I take the fish tank apart (anyone who has done this knows it's not an easy task), and take it back to the store. The manager on site says she can only give me store credit because I don't have my receipt. So I go home and dig through al my trash cans to find my receipt. Then I went back to the store, and got my money back -- but they wouldn't give me money back for the gravel, fish food, or water treatment. Six hours of my day wasted. I'm sad to say I will be going to PetSmart next time. I hate big business, but at least they have decent customer service, and lower prices. read more
