The prices here are super high. Shelves aren't stocked with all the tagged items, items seem like they sit a long time too. (and I'm guessing that's because of the high prices.) The stuff I used to get here for my animals they don't even carry anymore. The employees are not very helpful. They're not enthusiastic about their jobs and they seem a little sedated like they're out of it. I've visited this Pet Supplies location many times for the self-service dog wash! The price is great, and the staff here are so friendly! -- Sometimes we have to wait to use the dog wash, but often times we can get in right away. We have two dogs so we use both tubs at the same time. I like that one is elevated and one is lower, and both have leash attachments to help keep your dog a bit more still. (Mine hate baths!) -- I also appreciate the assortment of shampoos. The last time I was there I saw shampoo/conditioner, oatmeal shampoo, and puppy shampoo. You can also bring your own shampoo, and the store provides towels or an attachment which essentially blows the water off your dog to dry them faster. Highly recommend! read more

DO NOT USE THE SELF SERVE DOG WASH. I should have read the reviews before we brought our pooch in, but he was in desperate need of a bath. I promise you, it's not worth the convenience of a raised washtub. I'll take the sore back before I subject myself or my dog to this place again. First complaint: there is nothing securing the ramp for the raised wash. I pulled it out from one end and the end that SHOULD have been attached dropped on my big toe. Mind you this is a heavy, metal ramp with a sharp edge. My toe immediately started gushing blood. We should have stopped then and there, but I'm a trooper and man did our dog stink. Second complaint: for a new store, it's surprising that the entire set up of the wash was so atrocious. The dirty towel bin was overflowing and there were no clean towels. No cold water knob on the wash since it had apparently been broken off. Harsh metal grates on the bottom of the wash instead of a much more comfortable draining plastic. It looks more like a torture chamber than a dog wash. We rushed through the wash, grabbed our poor pooch a meaty bone and got out of there as soon as we could. I made the cashier away of my biggest concern (my poor big toe and the evil ramp that hurt it) and asked her to have someone look into it. I'm sure this is just her summer job, so I didn't have high expectations for her response - that's not her job - I got a sorry from her which is good enough for me. I'll let corporate handle my real complaint. She did ask me if I wanted to purchase the wash package which made me laugh and explain we wouldn't be coming back. read more

I've been here twice now, and have had a great experience both times! The first time, I went to grab a toy and a treat for the pup. Nothing crazy, but the store was clean, well-lit, and the employees are very friendly. I had a friend tell me how they took their dog here for the self-service bath station, and that definitely peaked my curiosity. We've been quoted $35 in the past for just a bath for our 70 pound lab at other nearby places. So a 5 use punch card for just $25 seemed unreal. I called ahead to ask about reservations and they let me know that it's first come, first serve. They said they provide the shampoo and the towels. We arrived last Friday around 5pm, and thankfully the bath station was unoccupied. The young cashier woman was very friendly and helpful and showed us how to use everything in the room. The bottles of shampoo and conditioner were filled to the brim. The towels were a little damp, but that's because they were the moisture-wicking towels (like a sham-wow). They smelled just fine to me, so I was not hesitant to use them. The room is obviously wet and there will be dog hair present in there. I don't know what others expect out of a dog bathing room! We thought it was perfect for our needs, and such a reasonable price. Our dog has been so soft and shiny, and she no longer stinks! This is so much easier than trying to force her into the bathtub at home and cleaning up the mess leftover from that. We are very thankful we found out about this great service, and we will be bringing our dog here from now on. I highly recommend it! read more

I would like to see knowledgeable employees caring for the animals, and giving customers information about them. It seems like the employees just want the cages to look decent and don't know anything about the individual animals they are selling. * A cat room, or area for the cats to stretch out, is a necessity. They need an area to move around and get exercise, its essential to their health. I've noticed the cats at this store are left in their cages without hardly any room to move around, and I feel so bad for them. There needs to be a change. read more

I've gone to this store for years to buy cat food and supplies. They have a well-stocked store and a friendly staff. They also host a cat rescue, and it's always fun to stop and say hello to the kitties. A friend of mine adopted from this rescue, so we got to know them a little bit. We found out that this store supports the rescue more than other locations might - when a rescue is hosted at a pet store, the rescue is usually responsible for 100% of feeding and cleaning the animals and cages. At this PSP, the store helps to cover that care for the animals. I think that's cool, and speaks to the owners' dedication to animals. The staff members are always friendly and happy to help with anything, and the store has always been super-clean every time I have visited. They have a great parking lot, and it's always been a good experience for me to run in and get what I need. I'll be there again this week :) read more

Everyone is so kind and helpful, the dog wash station is fantastic, the selection is stocked well and the store is always very clean. Just a couple of weeks ago I was in the store trying to decide which food to switch my 2 dogs to. The employee that helped me was so knowledgeable about all of the brands I asked about and steered me in the right direction. The advice he gave me has worked out great!! Terrible service. Couldn't find our favorite cat food and nobody seemed interested in helping us. Then got overcharged by a rude alcoholic-looking older cashier who wouldn't let up with her sarcastic comments. She seemed unhappy. I suspected overcharge as I noticed she scanned the same cat food can twice. When I questioned this, she shot me a look with a sarcastic comment. Then when handing over coupons at the end, she asked, "what's this?" in that tone again. Before leaving the store we inventoried our bag and compared it with the sales receipt (which is hard to decipher). Sure enough, overcharge. Took it back to her and she said "so what's wrong now?". When I pointed out the overcharge, she grudingly refunded the difference. I got the courage to say "you should be more careful" expecting a full barrage back. All she said was "it's been a long day". No apology. We have a Pet Smart further away (Danada), and that's where we're going from now on. The service people there are as nice and helpful as can be, like night and day difference. The cats seem to be treated much better there too, with folks from a no kill shelter always cleaning their cages, petting them, and letting them run around. So that's it for us and Pet Supplies. No more Sheba canned cat food, so also another reason to no longer visit. read more

I come to this store solely because they are always well stocked on my pet's food. Their display and quantities of food are the best I've seen, but it's a sad trade-off. The cats for adoption leave me feeling heartbroken. Cages are set up on the floor, one stacked on top of the other. Drafts on cold, frigid days blast through the store and these cats are left with only a blanket, usually a pilly, unkempt looking one. Dogs can walk right up to a cat's face, bark, scare the cats half to death. Considering most of these cats were not in ideal conditions to begin with, you'd think they'd be given extra TLC. The staff told me after I inquired on the cats' out-of-cage play time (which is a necessity, not a luxury), I was told rather noncommittally, that the cats are let out at night. It's hard for me to believe this based on the answers I seem to receive from anyone who works there about the cats. No one knows anything about them! The cages are not set in their own separate room for the cats to play in, so where would the cats be allowed to play? At the end of the night I'm supposed to believe they have the entire store to roam free? You'd think that a staff who regularly plays with these cats could give you better info on them and answer you without hesitating if the cats are EVER let out of their cages. At Petsmart, volunteers take care of the cats up for adoption. The cats have their own room with a door so that during each volunteer 's shift they can be let out and stretch their legs. The cats at pet supplies have barely enough room to stretch. I'm writing this on behalf of the cats I see here. I actually came home and cried thinking about one cat in particular I wish I could adopt. Knowing that he's there with people who don't care is absolutely heartbreaking. I want this looked into for the sake of the cats. The staff really needs a change. read more

Beyond upset and hurt by the quality of the animals. My boyfriend and me bought one of their guinea pigs on Valentine's day. We had went in the day before and fell in love with a baby female rex. Upon bringing her home we noticed that she had crusty eyes and nose. The next morning we noticed a bald spot a little larger than a quarter on her stomach. We called the store and spoke with a manager who told us not to worry and to just give it vitamin d and that vet care was unnecessary since it is a normal occurrence in guinea pigs to have this happen. I have owned guinea pigs all my life and knew it was wrong, I then corrected her by saying it's vitamin c actually. I asked if they cover vet care because I know Petco does, they said no and that all I can do is return her. I took her to a vet and the one month old baby pig has a very bad case of ringworm, respiratory infection and a tract infection. I'm thankful that I had the previous knowledge and was able to seek care when I did because without it it would have been fatal. I will not be returning to this store and I urge people to research the pet they are interested in and inspect it before taking it home. I was blinded by how adorable she was and in the end ended up with a stack of vet bills. They should not be able to put sick animals on their sales floor. read more

I have always had good experiences with this store. I've gone there for years, both before and after they moved. The staff has always been friendly - greeting you when you walk in, asking if you need help, whether those assisting in aisles or helping with checkout have shared about their own animals at home. Around Christmas when I was picking items up for both our animals at home, and to donate to our local shelter, there were samples of dog food that the cashier was more than happy to let me take multiple as she knew I was donating. Last night in particular I was rather impressed. The cashier (I missed her name, but on the receipt it said Raven, so maybe that's it?) was very friendly checking out. I was carrying heavy kitty litter and she had asked for another employee to get me a cart. I said it was alright - it was my heavy lifting for the day. She still insisted the other employee help me out, and Frank actually carried my 40lbs litter to the car for me! Was extremely friendly and helpful, even in the cold! This has always been my go to store, so I would go back regardless - but experiences like last night definitely remind me why I do! Kudos. read more

Wonderful store that has a wide variety of great to high quality foods, toys and services. The store always has customers and the staff is not only competent and knowledgeable of the products and of animals, also there is plenty of staff to walk up to and get help from. Every so often I get coupons in my mail and email and sometimes I'll even use them for a bigger order of food and it does help financially. One time I picked up my order in the store and then picked up odds and ends for a new kitten and I goofed and got the wrong size litter pans online and they let me exchange them really easy. I paid a different price but they allowed me to use the coupon that I just used a few hours ago again. I thought that was high class service right there and as the future months come and go I hope to be making more reliable reoccurring purchases of cat food once I get it established what I need for thus cat and how much I'll need. I know the store will have what I want or if maybe I'll have to wait a few days but that still would be worth it. The prices are are competitive. read more

I work near this location and saw that they offered a self serve pet wash and wanted to get my puppy here asap! I had gotten off work a bit later than I expected and I needed to bathe my puppy very desperately. I had called them and they said the pet wash closes an hour earlier than the store. The man (I think he was a manager) was so kind and he said that if I can get there an hour before and be out before they close, he wouldn't mind us using the pet wash. We got there around 8:03 (they close at 9pm). He was so kind and let us utilize the service. Also, the two workers (one female cashier and one male working in the floor) was so nice! The female was so helpful in giving our puppy her first bath. Both employees were so nice to our puppy as well! We actually ended up buying the 5 washes for $25 deal they have. I want to thank you again for letting us come in and use the wash past 8pm! We will definitely be back for more! UPDATE 1/5/18: I only give monthly baths to my puppy at this Pet supplies Plus location and I went in on December 29th around 4/5pm. I was SHOCKED that NONE of the shampoos were properly stocked. The shampoo that I have always used for my dog is all empty and they couldn't fill it up when I asked. I'm sorry but it was a snowy day and I am pretty sure there were not a lot of pet owners who came to give baths today. All the shampoos and conditioners were running low and after a year of going here, they started to add water to everything. Even the towels STANK like shit... I was there to give my dog a bath, not to make her smell even worse! I saw a new manager there and I am thinking this change after a year is because of him. If it is, you need to change this ASAP! Stinky towels and NO SHAMPOO in stock is exactly what I am paying for... If not, I'm going to Petco where they at least smile when we go there.
