We had taken our dog to get groomed yesterday, and it was not a good experience. Dalaney was not gentle with him, and she said that she cut it too short (my fiancée overheard her that she cut it too short by accident), but we were told that it was on purpose and she had to do so. Janet was understanding and let her manager know. Justin the manager called me and was pretty curt that nothing was wrong, and the groomer didn't lie to use about the true nature of the haircut being short. The spaw package was refunded, but we didn't get our full package refunded. I think that the groomer should have just been truthful and said she did it on accident but didn't do so. We hope that the manager will reconsider his approach to customer service. I hope that we not be attacked for this review. Just wasn't the experience we hoped for nor the response to our complaint. We were having problems with our cats urinating on the floor. They didn't used to do it, just changed and we asked someone here about it. They recommended Dr. Elsy cat litter and adding another litter box. This did the trick and we haven't had any other issues. I have used Pet Supply Plus for grooming and have given the groomer a picture to follow. Each time I have been satisfied with the results. Last trip in I asked for a nail clipping and buff. I was distressed when my dog was brought to me and the groomer handed me a small packet of something that looked like sand. She said to use this if he started bleeding. I was confused and at a lost for word as I stared at the package. She explained that she had cut too close to the quick and it was bleeding. I left, very concerned for my dog and the pain he must be in. There was no bleeding; however, I did find that his other claws had not even been cut. I noticed the grooming sign that read "no experience necessary. Train here." I will not return to this grooming salon again. read more

This is convenient because you don't have to worry about hair or cleaning up after you bathe your dog. I love Pet Supplies Plus - they're local, well-stocked, and really friendly and helpful when you're in store. My favorite part of the PSP experience is the self-service dog wash. You can buy a dog wash card that covers 5 washes for $25, or $5 a wash. You can also buy washes individually for $10. They bath includes a lifted tub, 4 shampoo options, towels, aprons, and a dryer. The Broad Ripple location has the dog wash stations but I find that they tend to be a little dirtier than the PSP wash stations at the other PSP location I frequent. The last time we were there it was clear that the stations had not been cleaned between guests and my partner had to de-clog the drain below our station by hand after the water backed up our dogs legs, and then up our shoes. It was super gross but our dog was half soapy so we didn't really have the option to leave or do something else. Hopefully that was just a busy day but they'd get the 5th star if they better maintained that area of the shop. read more

They treat those kids like any other customer - they listen and answer. I bring my two dogs there for the self-wash service. If you join the rewards program (free to join), you can purchase 5 washes for $25. That's the best deal I have found. Even without that deal, this is the place I would suggest for the self-wash. There are four wash tubs, many choices for shampoos, excellent hair dryers, plenty of room, and the kicker - they have the best drying towels. The towels are like a shami - super absorbent. They have an extensive line of pet food, toys, and everything needed for your pet (well for my dogs, it looks like a lot for other pets, but I have not really taken stock of other pet types). Pretty decent all-around pet supply store just east of Broad Ripple. Huge selection of dog food, especially holistic/natural/grain-free. Also, they don't sell dogs from breeders (a definite no-no).
