I shop at pet supplies plus for several reasons. Sell my dogs, boutique brand food here and it's usually cheaper than buying it at my previous supplier. They are always very accommodating and will price match! I love the large selection of kibble, toys, treats, & accessories. Pet supplies plus always has great deals and every 12th bag of food from the same brand that you purchase you get the 12th bag free so I really enjoy that. Another big reason why I come to pet supplies plus is because I get my dogs groomed here. I highly recommend Trish! She is really sweet. She'll listen to your concerns and your goals for your pets cut and she is very sweet with my Sofi. I have been buying my dog food from this location for years. Our area just suffer hurricane Beryl and 2.2 million people were without power for days and some still are including myself. So when I received an email telling me that they canceled my order and refunded my money because I had not picked my order up in the days they allowed which must be 5 I was extremely disappointed in their timing. When I called to express my disappointment in this they did not care. I will not be buying from them again. read more

GROOMING NEVER AGAIN!!! I dropped off 2 of my dogs at 12:45 pm and was told that it would take 4 hours but I would be contacted as soon as they were done. Neither did myself, nor my next contact person, ever receive a phone call nor text that they were ready. I finally called at 5:55 pm and was told they are ready for pick up. Upon arriving to get my dogs, I was informed they were ready since 2:50pm !!!!! Management had no sympathy nor concern that they had been locked up with no food, water, nor bathroom breaks while under their care! When I entered the grooming salon, I could hear them crying. I am beyond furious! Oh and I Did Pay for 2 VIP/Deluxe packages at that! Never, and I mean Never will I Ever Visit this store again and I hope you don't either! Do Not Go here for grooming if you care for your pet in the least bit. Update to reply to Alex: I never refused anything your staff offered to show. She showed me the phone log that "Said" she tried to call me. I showed her MY Phone to show No missed called, voicemails, nor texts. (my next contact person wasn't notified as well) She then stated to me "oh sometimes all of our calls and texts go through at 10:00pm". No one offered to show where they were caged. I did speak with the manager on duty at the time. So please do not make it sound as if I did not address this issue at the time I picked up my dogs. read more

I went in today looking for a bird. The bird in the front of the store looked friendly and playful. The employees said the wings were clipped and they have had the bird since it was a baby, now a few months old. I asked to hold the bird since the wings were clipped and they said no. I now understand why the bird hasn't sold. Very sad because the bird looks friendly. Why would they cage a young bird all day not allowing it any human contact ? We had a Chinese dwarf hamster (that I know is not really Chinese or a dwarf but is still classified as such) That Hampster was the sweetest and friendliest we ever had. When Pet supply did not have another one in. And so we went to a box pet store and bought one. Big mistake. The second hamster no one could hold - he was insane and he only lasted two weeks before he died for unknown reasons. We immediately went back to pet supply plus for our third Hamster. I'm glad to say that Charlie the hamster is a cuddler who is people friendly, does not bite, and is super sweet. He has been in excellent health and we are going on year three of owning him. Very inconsistent grooming policies. We've been taking our dog here since it opened for baths and nail trims. I've always disclosed that she has a heart murmur and it has never been an issue. Today, we were told they would not bathe her or even trim nails because of her heart. I asked if this was a new policy since I've been coming here for several years (most recently- just two months ago!) and they said no, this has always been their policy. I've been a regular customer- both for grooming services and retail but I will now be taking my business elsewhere. Update- Store manager Nicole called to discuss what happened and apologized for the issues in communicating and enforcing policy which I very much appreciate. read more

I was debating getting a gecko for my daughter and stumbled upon Amber (Katy location on Highland Knolls). Was I lucky! She is a fountain of knowledge of all things reptile (owning several geckos and snakes of her own) and so patient with all of my questions. After chatting with her for a long time, she got ME super excited about owning a crested gecko. She even had her boyfriend bring one of her cute geckos (adult size) to the store to let me hold and get a sense of them - talk about going above and beyond.
