If your little shi tzu mauled your kid, don't go to Cesar Milan. Get thee to an ACVB diplomat, a vet that is an animal behaviorist. Speaking from experience on this! Going to Dr. Haug was INSANELY expensive--b/c she is the top dog--heehee. It was very informative, but I was at a loss in knowing how to apply this knowledge to my home life w/o taking a second mortgage. I wish I had started w/ Sit Stay, and Obey! Sheila directly applies the theory and science AT MY HOME! My stupid dog can act like Lassie at an expensive, highly structured dog training facility. But my stupid dog won't act like that when he's with stupid me. Haha, I get that the majority of the solution lies w/ training me. Sheila came over to our house. She listened to the issues we had, helped us prioritize what needed to be worked on first, watched us, had us watch her, then had us try what we learned right there in our living room. She helped us get on a plan--realistic plan based on what we could actually achieve. And we had clear next steps and check-ins. I appreciate theory and information, but I am not smart enough to connect the dots into applying the knowledge at my house. I literally need someone to show me how to do this in my house, with my dog, and my family. We have since rehomed our little shi tzu at a god-send home w/ no kids. We now have an 8 month, almost 80 lb puppy that has benefited from working w/ Sheila since its first month on this earth. Because of Sheila our three-year old toddler is now empowered to help train and safely play with the monster (still always under our supervision of course). Sheila is guiding all of us to have the BEST relationships w/ the puppy and the puppy w/ us. It's quite beautiful after the scary start for my baby... Review I do not…read morerecommend boarding your dogs at this location. I purchased an individual play package and a luxury suite with a webcam for my two dogs. I paid over $800 for the whole thing. Here's what I witnessed: 1. A slip lead was left on my dog overnight. I was assured that they didn't leave harnesses, collars, or leashes on due to safety reasons. 2. An employee couldn't seem to get one of my dogs to leave her crate, so she PICKED UP THE CRATE AND TURNED IT OVER to get my dog out. 3. They put a huge water bowl in front of the crate opening so my dog had a hard time getting out of the crate and getting back in. 4. At one point, the cover was not properly on the crate and the door was mostly closed, so my dog couldn't use it. 5. I had asked that my dogs be fed separately because one dog will eat the others' food. I saw two bowls of food in the room, which showed me that my directions were not being followed. 6. There are no cameras for the individual play rooms, so I have no proof that the individual play sessions happened. 7. There were no stay notes or updates, so I was left to reach my own conclusion about what happened while they stayed at this faculty. And this was just what I saw on camera. I would have no idea what was going on if I had bought a room without a webcam. There may be people who work here who care about dogs, but they are not trained to work with dogs. I will never be back to this location. I don't trust them with my dogs, and you probably shouldn't either. The level of care was not worth the price. I will be taking them to a more reputable boarding location next time.

I stopped by for a visit and was given a nice tour. I booked a stay for my puppies and completed their paperwork. On the tour I saw the 3 different areas the pups could stay and chose the luxury room. The reason is I wanted my pups to be in one room together and since the lab hasn't been boarded in 5 yrs and the doodle, never I chose this as its quieter and has the cameras so we can peek in on them. I wanted the one with the indoor/outdoor run but is was big enough to accommodate 2 big dogs. I dropped them off and away I went. My wife checked in on them in their several times and was much at peace. Then we got pics from the pups socializing with the other pups and we felt so at peace. Pet Suites Fulshear was a great experience for us and our puppies. We will certainly us them.

My son forgot to check for the dogs blankets when he picked them up and Brian kindly drove them down to the city where we live so that the dogs would have them. Before she went, I'd worked with her on sit, down, take it, leave it, and some spins with decent success. Brian took what she had and built on it, adding heel, come when called, turn, and stay. He returned a noticeably different dog. When we hit some bumps shortly after, he came back out and spent a solid hour with me going over what was actually happening...not just commands and corrections, but why she was behaving the way she was and what she needed from me to feel secure. (Spoiler: she needed me to be more confident and consistent.) He has a way of cutting straight to what matters without overcomplicating it, and more than once he said exactly the right thing at exactly the right moment. What struck me most across both experiences was how much genuine wisdom he brings to his work. He's clearly someone who has learned his craft through deep experience and observation, and it shows in every interaction with the dog and with the owner. On top of all of that, his pricing was incredibly reasonable; boarding and training combined for what many trainers charge for training alone. We felt genuinely taken care of. Kind, patient, perceptive, and exactly what we needed. Highly recommend.

We initially thought we'd foster her for adoption due to her dog aggression issues. After working with Travis, we decided togive Rosie a forever home ourselves. We brought Travis in to privately train her so she didn't have to deal with the stress of a group setting and because we wanted a tailored training program. With Lone Star Dog Training, we received an excellent job. Travis educated us about how training is important and what results he felt we could see. Over the course of 4 months, Rosie went from being aggressive toward our other dogs to feeling safe and comfortable with them. She's even adopted our 12 year old border terrier as her sister. Rosie has progressed from a frightened stray who did not wag her tail or understand how to take affection, to bounding and leaping with joy when she sees her people. She now seeks out our affections and looks forward to spending time with us. If not for Lone Star Dog Training, we would not have decided to keep her. They informed me that boarding the Great Dane over the holiday was going to be impossible (Not Surprised!, big dog, late notice) But what we were really interested in was home pet sitting, which they kindly offered as an option. The sitter came by for the meet-the-pets and was super friendly and clearly loves animals! We felt no apprehension leaving the keys to the castle in her hands! On Thanksgiving we were surprised with an adorable Happy Thanksgiving picture with our 2 dogs and cat! All of our friends and family were just as pleased as we were! The Great Dane has figured out how to get out of her crate and made a few messes, which the sitter cleaned for us. (Sorry about that, and THANKS AGAIN!!) Couldn't have had a better experience, and now that we've done it once, we will assuredly use PP again for any of our pet sitting needs!
