Pros: Super convenient small local pet store with great discounts if you sign up for the rewards program. Fast, friendly (and free!) local home delivery. Curbside pickup! Low cost immunization program on Sundays. Cons: Interactions with staff and efficiency of checkout process can vary depending on who you get, but always friendly. It's a bit smelly inside, probably because of the DIY dog washing station. Some deeply discounted and direct advertised promos sell out too quickly. read more

I think the focus here like many pet stores is on dogs and cats which is cool and all but it's incredibly depressing when you see other species suffering needlessly. i will preface this with the fact that my stepdaughter got a leopard gecko from this location, who is almost two years old now and thriving. HOWEVER, every time I go in I stop to check out the live reptile section and its not a pretty sight. Lack of proper uvb and heat, skinny and malnourished animals, some appearing to young to even be for sale. another time I was in a pinch and needed live feeders for my bearded dragon on the fly. I went to grab a cup of mealworms and had to open several containers before I found one that wasn't full of dead moldy worms. I mentioned it to the cashier and she just kind of looked at me like blink blink. while the main competitors aren't a shining example either I don't think any pet stores should be let off the hook here as we need to set a higher standard of care, ideally one which includes basic requirements for survival...yanno? read more

Don't buy fish from here!!!! I recently bought 5 neon tetras and a week into having them they began showing signs of ich. I treated them with ich medication in a quarantine tank at 80 degrees with a bubble stone (all the things you're supposed to do), but the infection was too severe and now they're all dead. I went here after winning a carnival fish at the Phoenixville carnival. I was ready to learn all about how to take care of the fish and enlisted the help of the first "pet supplies plus" employee i came across, I told her " i never had a fish before! can you help me?" Her response "tanks are in that aisle" me: " ok, well I have a lot of questions, what kind of food does it need?, what temperature should the water be? what kind of equipment does it need?" her response was a rather crass, "It doesn't matter. It's just a gold fish..." I ended up looking for another employee with no avail, but i found a non-employee who owned a healthy 10 year old carnival fish and was willing to give me a few tips. I wish he wasn't in such a rush... turns out a lot goes into taking care of a goldfish and unfortunately, "crispy" is dead. I did everything i could, I read a lot online, but he's dead and I can't help but think that maybe he would be alive if I were given some help by one of there so-called pet experts Thanks pet supplies plus I guess you don't like gold fish either. read more

Great location, staff go above and beyond despite corporate restrictions. Great animal care, helpful employees. You know a location is great when the only bad reviews are elderly regulars who are unhappy that the manager that let them broke the rules was fired for breaking the rules. Bring in your damn coupons if you want to use them. That's literally how stores work. They house adoptable cats for City of Elderly love and other local foster-based rescues. It's a great way to meet an adoptable cat before putting in an application. If you have food your pet won't eat, toys they won't use, ect, bring them here! Phoenix Animal Shelter and The Kitty Cottage come by regularly to grab donations and they go to a great cause. read more

Easy five stars for a small chain that understands pet owners and pet needs! Great selection and the staff are friendly and get the customers and their pets. Two things for me that go above the line, they employ local people from our community, and they have a remarkable adoption display for older cats who need a home. The animals are well cared for and content while they wait for a permanent home. I just think thats awesome. I think these guys beat the big chains stores hands down. read more

This store blows Petco and Petsmart out of the water. Every time I've been in this store I've been greeted cheerfully by all the wonderful people who work there. They always have what I go in for, if they don't they'll special order it for you. Their prices are very competitive and they'll meet a competitor's price. I have two new kittens and they need to be fed special no grain diet (as all cats should be) the young man that helped me spent a great amount time with me helping me get the correct food for my new babies. This is customer service the way it should be. Bravo! to the staff and management of this wonderful pet store. read more

The best. Friendly attentive employees who just want to be helpful. A great manager, Paul, that did a fantastic job on my dog's nails - it's always a good sign when they start by preparing some styptic powder - nicks always happen - but we had no need for it. The self-bath stations have everything you could possibly want and need, and are super easy to use. Getting the dog to go up the ramp was the hardest part! If you need help, there are helpful friendly associates nearby, but they leave you alone and don't hover (we were slow). Checkout was a breeze with the cashier asking all the right questions (may I pet your dog, can she have a t-r-e-a-t) before approaching. I was blown away by the helpfulness and ease and low cost of a bath and nails. So easy! I highly recommend this place and will definitely be back! read more
