We LOVE Shakers Dog Wash!!! We do the self- service option and I bring most of my own stuff but Shakers has everything you need (including a nice waterproof bib) shampoo, conditioner, ear cleaners, soft soap brush, towels and miscellaneous things that you might forget but need! The people that are there to greet you are super nice and professional. I use them for Sophie's pedicure. There is always someone around if you need help lifting your dog up/down or have any questions. The tubs are always clean and easy to access for you and your furry friend. If you're reading this, you should go and see for yourself. You will be happy you did. They also have a drop off service. I've never used it, but it seems pretty popular. After you're done with the bath you can pick out a super cute bandanna and a treat! Sophie is a super fan, and so am I.

They've been grooming my dog since I got her as a puppy... she is almost a year now and is a long haired dog that needed a lot of attention to keep that double coat looking good... especially through wet, crummy, muddy weather. They did a wonderful job with her. She loves going to Shaker's!

These guys really take care on my dogs. They are great with Henry Ford who is a handful. Pickles is a princess and they really treat her like one. I love these guys

This place is a hidden gem. I've driven past this place numerous times and even did a general search online for self- service dog washes. I typically try to stick with what I'm used to, but I'm so glad I ventured off and gave this place a try. Staff was friendly, and if it's your first time coming in, they give you a run-down on how everything works. They provide everything that you need (shampoo, conditioner, soap scrub brush, drying towel, slicker brushes, deshedding comb, finishing spray, aprons and high velocity dryers). I was able to bathe my fur baby Milo, and got him looking like he is fresh from the groomers. Staff will come and disinfect the tubs and drying stations and put clean items out for the next customer.For $21, this is definitely a deal. I am definitely coming back to use the self-service wash! read more

They were friendly but they aren't accepting any patients for the rest of this year. This needs to be noted somewhere online, so people don't get their hopes up and call. They must be good though, being booked for an entire year is a crazy feat. I guess the groomer search continues... read more

Eliza does an amazing job with our Great Pyrenees. She always looks so pretty and like a proper lady when she's finished. The de-shed treatment really helps cut down on her shedding and leaves her soft and fluffy. read more

I take my Standard poodle and Old English Sheepdog to Shakers for full grooming. Always come back happy with the grooming and both of them have more complicated grooming than most breeds. Their prices are good and in and out in under 3 hours which is great. read more

My dog is a rescue and has been hit by a car and attacked by another dog, so he gets scared to even ride in the car! The groomers at SHAKERS DOG WASH are so very, kind and gentle with him! He always looks wonderful when he comes out in his bandana and gets treats with his A+ report card. Also, they send you text reminders, a reminder call the day before, and will even take your name and number if they get a cancellation if you are wanting to get in sooner, as they do book up! read more

I took my dog to get groomed and I made the appointment over a month ago. I dropped him off and returned 1 1/2 hrs later. I had been a long time customer of Shakers. They hadn't even started on him, they didn't tell me it was going to be that long all they said was that they were behind. I can be very accommodating if my expectations are managed, but to lock my dog in a small room alone for that amount of time is unconscionable! I would never do that to any animal! Needless to say, I picked up my dog and will never go back there again! read more

I discovered Shakers through an account I follow on Instagram, and I have been taking my dog Charlie there even since! The font desk staff is absolutely wonderful, friendly, and very understanding. Our groomer Aubrey is truly the nicest person, and does a fantastic job. I usually get "the works" and Charlie comes out looking like a new dog. Also he always comes out wearing a bandana and with a bag of treats! I recommend Shakers to all my friends with dogs! The location is super convenient and the prices are also very reasonable! This place is truly all about the dog. I took my 6 month old Bernedoodle in for the Shakers Complete Bath. She came out so perfectly fluffy and clean. Her nails were trimmed perfectly, her ears were cleaned, and she was so happy. The owner and employees really treat every person like they are family. A couple weeks later, my pup rolled in something nasty on our walk, and we came in right before they closed to use the self service bath. They treated us with the very same level of kindness. They even gave us a free bandanna! There is no better place to take your pup than Shakers. read more

This is the place if you want to bond with your dog over a nice tub of suds. The staff is friendly, every amenity is right at hand, and even the music is good. (Kind of a 70's R&B thing when we visited). Steve gave my dog a couple of treats and a free bandana for the road. What more could we ask? Highly recommended, and if you join the Dirty Dog Club, you'll get a free bath with purchase of 6. Not too shabby! read more

We took our dogs here for a quick bath after they were boarded for a weekend and had the best experience. Steve was so welcoming to us. He was extremely friendly & helpful during bath time and after. He even helped blow dry our German Shepherd while I bathed the other (which is no small task). Both dogs got treats & the cutest bandanas afterwards. We felt like family on our first visit and would highly recommend this place to anyone! read more

Shakers was started in 2002 by a local family to provide a unique place for Dogs to come for a bath or grooming. In 2013, the Curran family purchased Shakers to continue that mission and more. As soon as you walk in the door, you know that you are in a special place. Shakers is all about Dogs and we work hard at making it an enjoyable experience. No matter if you bath, we bath or getting a haircut/trim, you know that the Shakers Staff loves Dogs!

Oh my gosh...Shakers is so new and nice to visit. They were wonderful with consulting with me about my darling Delilah's coat. She is a Dobie and has sensitive skin. Delilah loved the entry with the ramp and I loved not having to bend over to bathe her. The staff is knowledgeable and very helpful. They made sure my girl was well taken care of and stepped in when I was obviously confused about which product I should use on her short coat. Our dog is quite anxious so I was nervous about choosing a groomer. We've been so thrilled with Shakers! Their staff is always so kind and patient with our dog. They go slow so she warms up to them. They usually text me personal updates during the service to let me know it's going okay. You can tell the staff truly love animals. So thankful for their care! Best self-service dog wash I've ever been to. I have an Aussie, and I've tried multiple different dog washes in stl, and this is by far the best. The facility is very clean, and they have products there to use, or you can bring your own (the self-service includes different washes to use, brushes, drying towels, ear muffs, multiple dog wash stations, and drying stations). Michelle did a good job with Sparky's bath. The only problem was with the messaging to me when he was ready. They told me 2hrs, after 3hrs 20 mins I finally called. The gal at the desk said Michelle had text me but that you all were having trouble with your messaging. I mention that only because people sometimes schedule their day around this appointment. Whether you can get a Furminator appointment or just wash him there yourself, it is so much better than messing up your own house. I have been going for years and I have never had a bad experience with any employees. They seem to really love your pet as they are caring for them. Took my Newfoundland to Shaker's for the first time on Sunday. Everyone there was so helpful. Because he is so big we need a little boost for the tub and they were right there to help. Took my two golden retrievers to Shakers today. My 2 Golden's were beyond dirty. Took awhile. And I had to chuckle when during the drying, their hair was flying everywhere! So nice to be able to wash your double coated dog and not clean up all the hair in your bathtub afterwards. No leaning over the tub, no wet towels, no stopped up drains. Everything you need to make your dog washing experience well worth the visit! Very sanitary too. read more

We humans schedule our manicures on the regular, so why shouldn't we do the same for our fur-babies. You can call and schedule a nail trim for your favorite dog. Call, schedule and while you wait in the small reception area, your dog can get a traditional nail trim, or for a few dollars more, you can have the nails done with a grinder which makes the trim smoother. My dogs have always enjoyed the spa treatment, so I go for the full experience. A refreshing bath and a manicure, is well worth it. If you have a bath and brush dog, I highly recommend Cathy. She loves dogs and will put your dogs at ease.

Since I moved to Illinois, I am now a regular at their Edwardsville store. Sophia got two new bandanas, two small iced dog treats and one big Happy Barkday Cookie to celebrate her special day. When we did our morning walk, we took the big cookie with us. As we meet her neighborhood friends, we broke off a piece of the big cookie and shared her celebration. The staff was new to me, but I was happy to see they still provided the good customer service that Four Muddy Paws is known for. I may be a regular in E-ville now, but I'll still hold a special place in my heart for the Lafayette store.

Beth cut me off mid sentence and I was told my dog was not harmed, they had no AC in their shop today and it was 90 degrees there and I should feel free to take my business else. My response, "oh you bet your ass I will" and then she hung up on me! We tried one other that seemed ok but you know when sometimes something just feels off? So I asked & our vet recommended Silver Maple instead...best thing ever. My first glimpse of how genuinely they care for our dogs was how nicely he goes in (tail is still down but he readily goes in after being greeted like Norm from Cheers). One time he got sick just before our Xmas vacation. He had only been on his meds for 2days before I had to drop him off but they have their system down to a science. It's simple but it's one they are clear on so there are no mistakes. Pam even called me to tell me she found throw up in his crate but wondered if giving him his meds with food would be less caustic & help him feel better...thoughtful & considerate problem solver & diplomatically explained! During that same boarding we were snowed in on the mountains in CO & couldn't get back on time. Not only did Pam accommodate but she also made sure he had enough of his meds. She genuinely loves animals & will go to bat for them. Communication & planning is key. If you'll be traveling over the holidays, book early. Always pack extra food & Rx in case it gets dropped or don't pack enough food. They took a Chewy delivery of food bc I stupidly didn't count out the correct numbers of cans. Cost-wise, we have found it to be very much worthwhile bc we absolutely know he's in good hands. To Pam, Mallory, Amanda, Lindsey & all the others I've not had the pleasure of meeting, you make Silver Maple a success & I thank you for taking such loving care of our Dexter.

I had excellent service up until my last visit. i always schedule my next appt when I pick up my…read moredog. I was told on my last visit 9/8 my groomer was fully booked, when I asked for another groomer I was told they were booked as well . The reception advised me she would check with each groomer and see if they could squeeze me in. I was never given a reason why both groomers were booked solid seven weeks from 9/8. After waiting more than 24 hours without a call back I sent a text message. I received a call 9/10 stating they had no record of a text or email from me requesting an appt. Needless to say that call was confusing, so I called the reception who was rude, sarcastic, and continuously talked over me. she finally advisedthe reason the two groomers were booked was due to one of the groomers being out on maternity leave. If I was told that up front I would have understood. Instead the receptionist continue to speak to me as rudely as possible. I ended the call and said I do not know what to say. Due to the receptionist's behavior I will not ever go back to Heritage grooming. This all could have been avoided if the receptionist had just said we are fully booked because we have a groomer out on leave. Instead she was nasty, rude, and tried making excuses for her behavior.
