We LOVE Shakers Dog Wash!!! We do the self- service option and I bring most of my own stuff but Shakers has everything you need (including a nice waterproof bib) shampoo, conditioner, ear cleaners, soft soap brush, towels and miscellaneous things that you might forget but need! The people that are there to greet you are super nice and professional. I use them for Sophie's pedicure. There is always someone around if you need help lifting your dog up/down or have any questions. The tubs are always clean and easy to access for you and your furry friend. If you're reading this, you should go and see for yourself. You will be happy you did. They also have a drop off service. I've never used it, but it seems pretty popular. After you're done with the bath you can pick out a super cute bandanna and a treat! Sophie is a super fan, and so am I.

This place is a hidden gem. I've driven past this place numerous times and even did a general search online for self- service dog washes. I typically try to stick with what I'm used to, but I'm so glad I ventured off and gave this place a try. Staff was friendly, and if it's your first time coming in, they give you a run-down on how everything works. They provide everything that you need (shampoo, conditioner, soap scrub brush, drying towel, slicker brushes, deshedding comb, finishing spray, aprons and high velocity dryers). I was able to bathe my fur baby Milo, and got him looking like he is fresh from the groomers. Staff will come and disinfect the tubs and drying stations and put clean items out for the next customer.For $21, this is definitely a deal. I am definitely coming back to use the self-service wash! read more

They were friendly but they aren't accepting any patients for the rest of this year. This needs to be noted somewhere online, so people don't get their hopes up and call. They must be good though, being booked for an entire year is a crazy feat. I guess the groomer search continues... read more

I take my Standard poodle and Old English Sheepdog to Shakers for full grooming. Always come back happy with the grooming and both of them have more complicated grooming than most breeds. Their prices are good and in and out in under 3 hours which is great. read more

My dog is a rescue and has been hit by a car and attacked by another dog, so he gets scared to even ride in the car! The groomers at SHAKERS DOG WASH are so very, kind and gentle with him! He always looks wonderful when he comes out in his bandana and gets treats with his A+ report card. Also, they send you text reminders, a reminder call the day before, and will even take your name and number if they get a cancellation if you are wanting to get in sooner, as they do book up! read more

I took my dog to get groomed and I made the appointment over a month ago. I dropped him off and returned 1 1/2 hrs later. I had been a long time customer of Shakers. They hadn't even started on him, they didn't tell me it was going to be that long all they said was that they were behind. I can be very accommodating if my expectations are managed, but to lock my dog in a small room alone for that amount of time is unconscionable! I would never do that to any animal! Needless to say, I picked up my dog and will never go back there again! read more

I discovered Shakers through an account I follow on Instagram, and I have been taking my dog Charlie there even since! The font desk staff is absolutely wonderful, friendly, and very understanding. Our groomer Aubrey is truly the nicest person, and does a fantastic job. I usually get "the works" and Charlie comes out looking like a new dog. Also he always comes out wearing a bandana and with a bag of treats! I recommend Shakers to all my friends with dogs! The location is super convenient and the prices are also very reasonable! This place is truly all about the dog. I took my 6 month old Bernedoodle in for the Shakers Complete Bath. She came out so perfectly fluffy and clean. Her nails were trimmed perfectly, her ears were cleaned, and she was so happy. The owner and employees really treat every person like they are family. A couple weeks later, my pup rolled in something nasty on our walk, and we came in right before they closed to use the self service bath. They treated us with the very same level of kindness. They even gave us a free bandanna! There is no better place to take your pup than Shakers. read more

This is the place if you want to bond with your dog over a nice tub of suds. The staff is friendly, every amenity is right at hand, and even the music is good. (Kind of a 70's R&B thing when we visited). Steve gave my dog a couple of treats and a free bandana for the road. What more could we ask? Highly recommended, and if you join the Dirty Dog Club, you'll get a free bath with purchase of 6. Not too shabby! read more

We took our dogs here for a quick bath after they were boarded for a weekend and had the best experience. Steve was so welcoming to us. He was extremely friendly & helpful during bath time and after. He even helped blow dry our German Shepherd while I bathed the other (which is no small task). Both dogs got treats & the cutest bandanas afterwards. We felt like family on our first visit and would highly recommend this place to anyone! read more

Took my two golden retrievers to Shakers today. My 2 Golden's were beyond dirty. Took awhile. And I had to chuckle when during the drying, their hair was flying everywhere! Shakers was started in 2002 by a local family to provide a unique place for Dogs to come for a bath or grooming. In 2013, the Curran family purchased Shakers to continue that mission and more. The store itself has a ton of toys, treats, foods and snacks for all types of pets and Baxter will always leave with at least 1-2 new treats as a reward for being a good boy at the groomers! The cashiers are usually very helpful and whenever there are coupons to use for items or grooming they have offered to scan the coupon or enter the code which is super nice. Not to belabor my love of The Groom Room . . . but --…read more The four-leggers went in for the standard cut and wash, to include nail trims and dew claws. Yes, they all still have them. THIS IS THE BIG POINT: the Thomas Raymond yelping and screaming (actually I'd call it other-worldly screeching) for each nail trim (which is above and beyond drama) didn't exist, except for a few yips on this trip. And that makes me happy! He's getting used to it, and The Groom Room is working its magic! I do like that nobody comes home with bows or ribbons or bandanas or any other accoutrements. I hate that stuff. And they're not perfumed up, either. Just good-smelling clean dogs. They went in at 10:30 a.m. and were done by 1 p.m. Thomas Raymond was not having a good day getting along with other dogs, except for Cali Marie and Jacob Mitchell, so he was sequestered with them. And true to form -- which has been a curse we've endured for at least two years -- it rains the day they're groomed. Crap in a handbag!

I spoke with management to address these concerns and am currently requesting a refund based on the result and condition of the grooming. Overall, I am not satisfied with the service provided. If you have a long-haired or double-coated breed, I recommend clearly confirming grooming expectations in advance.

Oh my gosh...Shakers is so new and nice to visit. They were wonderful with consulting with me about my darling Delilah's coat. She is a Dobie and has sensitive skin. Delilah loved the entry with the ramp and I loved not having to bend over to bathe her. The staff is knowledgeable and very helpful. They made sure my girl was well taken care of and stepped in when I was obviously confused about which product I should use on her short coat. Our dog is quite anxious so I was nervous about choosing a groomer. We've been so thrilled with Shakers! Their staff is always so kind and patient with our dog. They go slow so she warms up to them. They usually text me personal updates during the service to let me know it's going okay. You can tell the staff truly love animals. So thankful for their care! We were allowed to use the many various products they had. grooming tools were available, as well as choices of drying tools (towels and blow dryers.) Best self-service dog wash I've ever been to. I have an Aussie, and I've tried multiple different dog washes in stl, and this is by far the best. The facility is very clean, and they have products there to use, or you can bring your own (the self-service includes different washes to use, brushes, drying towels, ear muffs, multiple dog wash stations, and drying stations). Whether you can get a Furminator appointment or just wash him there yourself, it is so much better than messing up your own house. Michelle did a good job with Sparky's bath. The only problem was with the messaging to me when he was ready. They told me 2hrs, after 3hrs 20 mins I finally called. The gal at the desk said Michelle had text me but that you all were having trouble with your messaging. I mention that only because people sometimes schedule their day around this appointment. Took my Newfoundland to Shaker's for the first time on Sunday. Everyone there was so helpful. Because he is so big we need a little boost for the tub and they were right there to help.
