We hired Patty (Alcala) for our daughter's quinceañera on October 5th. We began working with her back in January. From day one she saw our vision and made it a dream come true. I cannot describe in words how perfect and beautiful our venue looked, and was with us every step of the way. Whenever I asked her for anything or to be somewhere with us, she never hesitated. Her vendors list is long and always knew the perfect fit for us. She is an amazing planner, detailed, organized, and hard working. I never questioned anything because she was always on top of it all. Petals and Linens deserves a 10! The ceremony and reception looked just the way I envisioned it! Laura and her team nailed it, she and her team were super helpful and very professional. We also went with coordination services (Patty, Cindy, Leslie and Claudia). I honestly can't thank them enough for doing a phenomenal job! Very Disappointing!! I was referred to Petals and Linens by an acquaintance who recently got married. The first few emails we exchanged were fine, we arranged to meet at a rental warehouse since she had an appointment with another bride. I met with her assistant first while Laura (the owner) met with the other bride. Her assistant wrote down all my wedding ideas. I waited for Laura for about 10 mins, then we finally talked. She went over everything her assistant wrote down. I was unsure of exactly everything I wanted, so Laura asked that I send her photos of flower arrangements I like, then she will send me an invoice in a couple of days. That same night, I went home, did a lot of research, saved photos, and sent her an email thanking her for meeting with me, along with the photos. Laura sent me an email 2 days later acknowledging my email, and proceeded to say she will review the photos and get back to me "shortly". Well, she went out of the country on vacation. Over a week went by so I decided to email her letting her know that I was still interested in her work, and I looked forward to her email. Her assistant replied and said Laura was on vacation and would email me as soon as she returns. Well, over a week went by, still no email. I knew she had been back because I follow her business page on Instagram. Well, at this point, I am sooo uninterested of working with her, but I sent her another email just to see if she would respond. I said I hope she had a nice vacation and asked if she had a chance to work on my invoice, and NOTHING!! Still no response!!!!! I have worked with sooo many vendors so far and have not received this unproffesionalism at all!!!! If she didnt want to be my flowers vendor, for whatever reason, she could have been professional enough to let me know!!! So disappointing. Nothing but a 5 star rating!!! Laura, Jessica & Petals and Linens team you guys were AMAZING! My husband and I got married in late June. We originally found Petals and Linens on Instagram(if you don't follow them, go now) and I am so happy we did. After cyber stalking them for a few weeks I decided to reach out and inquire about a meeting. We met with Laura (lead florist) about 10 months before our wedding. I took pictures of what I had envisioned and certain ideas I had in mind. She was so easy to talk to and connect with. I was relieved to see how extremely passionate, professional and knowledgeable she was. As soon as we left the meeting and I sat in the car I told my now husband "this is it" I knew we would hire Petals and Linens as both our florist and day of coordinators. And within a week I booked them. Such a great decision. Throughout the span of these 10 months we exchange many emails, texts and phone calls. Laura was always very prompt in her replies. Our wedding was perfection! From the floral arrangements to EVERYTHING else they helped with. We had many small and some large details that the team helped set up. DETAILS, DETAILS, DETAILS! (*Future Brides: If you like to be in charge and are as anal as I am, but want to relax and enjoy your wedding day, hire this team!) Jessica, who was our day of coordinator, made sure we stuck to our timeline and made sure we moved right along as we had formally told them at our meeting. Wow, I just can't say enough about what an AMAZING job Jessica and her assistants did for our wedding! We met with Jessica several months ahead of time and before we left that meeting we had a timeline for the day-of, Jessica had all our vendors' information, and she was READY TO GO! A few days before the wedding she emailed all the vendors and from then on my wife and I didn't have to worry about a thing. She coordinated delivery times, made sure the florist and DJ had time to set up, she and her staff handled guest check-ins--every little detail that normal crops up to distract the bride and groom from enjoying their day, Jessica and her staff handled it ALL! My wife and I were actually able to ENJOY our wedding because Jessica and her staff were just on top of everything! Our guests weren't even aware we HAD a coordinator because Jessica and her staff were so professional and unobtrusive! Jessica and her staff really went the extra mile for us--when we arrived at our reception venue, my wife's shoes were already killing her and she hadn't brought an extra pair--when Jessica found out, she sent one of her staff to a local store to get a pair of comfortable flats so my wife could be comfortable! AMAZING!! Service: Florals and Day of Coordination. My husband and I first consulted with Petals and Linens for Wedding flowers, and later decided on Day of Coordination. Right off the bat we felt at home with Laura and her team. They felt like family and we were truly impressed with their knowledge of the business and their work. In our first meeting, we became aware that they also offered Day of Coordination services. This was a service that my husband and I went back and forth on for a while. He felt it was an unnecessary expense, but I felt it would be something that would help to ensure the day went smoothly and would give me ease that things would be handled. And, Boy was I right! Laura, Patty, and Jessica were phenomenal. They set up all our decor exactly as requested, they walked us through each activity before it began, brought us drinks from the bar so we didn't need to wait, throughout the whole night they checked in with us to make sure we were okay, checked in with family and friends. My husband told me the next day that he was impressed and happy we had booked with Petals and Linen, and not only for flowers but for day of coordination. He said the girls were so nice and super organized. My maid of honor even mentioned to me a view days ago that our coordinators were the best and so on top of things. Words can't even explain how happy I am for finding you girls. And the feeling I felt when I walked into our reception for the first time and seeing it all put together. We used Laura & Petals and Linens for our wedding on 7/1 and we were BLOWN AWAY. I really didn't connect with any of the traditional OC florists and hunted on instagram until I found Petals & Linens and I was sold! Their style was exactly what my wedding floral vision was. I'm sorry to hear that one of the previous reviewers had challenges in terms of communication with Petals & Linens; as that was something I was incredibly impressed with! Laura was accommodating to meet with me and my mom several times before we'd even committed to using her services and went out of her way to meet with us to review linen colors and mock up floral arrangements. She replied to many of my emails the same day, which I did not expect but truly appreciated. Laura was so accommodating in multiple ways. I forgot that I said I would supply ribbons for our bouquets as I had something particular in mind, and luckily Laura reminded me of this before I dropped off our decor items that went with our centerpieces. This was our wedding week and I was overwhelmed/did not have time to go to the fabric store, so I asked if Laura could do the ribbons instead which was no problem to her! Also, we realized that we would need our bouquets early in the morning of our wedding for photos, before the planned venue set up. I asked Laura if she could just leave the rest of our set up for the coordinators to do, as I felt bad asking someone to deliver twice. She professionally pushed back, saying that they would make 2 deliveries and she wanted to set up the florals, as this is part of the service we paid for. I was so impressed and grateful for her understanding and flexibility. When we arrived at the venue, Laura was almost done setting up and I was so impressed by the gorgeous florals she put together. Laura mentioned she had extra greenery and asked if she could use it as extra decor. I said YES PLEASE :) and she went above and beyond what we discussed. The one suggestion I will make is to be specific if you care about the complimentary bouquet to toss; the bouquet for the toss was mostly greenery and I ended up tossing a bridesmaid bouquet instead as it was a bit heartier. (Minor detail!) Laura was so easy to work with; honest in terms of what was doable, the cost of things, and what would work. My wedding was beautiful and I am sooo happy I avoided the cookie cutter florists I was referred to. While I didn't use Petals & Linens coordinating services, I imagine they are also top notch.
