Went in to get Gel X nails and about 5 days later, they all fell off! I've gotten Gel X at other salons and they lasted over a month. Regular Gel nails lasts me about 2-3 weeks and Gel X is suppose to last longer! I live in the Bay, so I asked if I can have a refund and Tram (not sure about spelling) said no because it's been almost a week. They said the next time I come in I can get free "regular gel nails" (they know I live in the bay) Worst customer service ever and would not recommend this salon to anyone. Came in for removal of dip powder I'd gotten for the holidays. They're very nice/personable for that 3 stars. But I'm not at all happy with the quality. Pretty expensive when I tip generously, ~$45 or so- I normally do my own nails at home and this is why. I dont like to pay for other people to do not as good of a job as I do at home. Issues: Slow. It took over an hour. They cut the cuticles and I had to ask them to stop/not do that- i don't know why SO many salons do that- now my previously intact cuticles are a mess and splitting. They are ragged. I did not have that problem before getting them done, because I only trim hangnails, I NEVER cut my cuticles, I push them back which is how they should be treated. She did not properly wrap the tips- and my polish was already chipping the very next day. And lastly, I had spent some time growing out my nails for the holidays (Xmas/NewYear) and the only reason I got them covered with dip was to stop them from breaking off. The natural nails underneath can be saved if treated properly- She did not ask or check what length I wanted and chopped my nice long nails off on my left hand. She made them all as short as the shortest one instead of leaving me more of my length like I wanted. She also did not check the hands against each other and started shaping the nails on one hand while the other was soaking- i could see and feel my thumbnails were totally uneven. I had to grab the file and fix and even it out myself like I normally have to do on these rare occasions I actually get my nails done. Overall- very unhappy I paid $45 some odd bucks, for my cuticles to get cut and ripped up, and for a polish job that looks like a bad home job and did not even last me 24hrs. Only reason I went was because I needed to get the fake nails off, im very active and its actually a hazard for me if they're too long. I will not be back. :/ read more

But Jay, you saw a nasty cockroach why give any stars? Well I've come here at last 4 times. Only once calling ahead for an appointment and the ladies always receive me with kindness. Best pedicures ever! Im a loyal customer to another place for my acrylics but I go out of my way to schedule my pedicures here. I'm attaching a photo of my recent pedicure - a week old and regular polish but still on point! Only possible improvement would be to upgrade to massage chairs. Got in and out in just over an hour. I had a nice pedicure which looks awesome, and I asked for a specialty gel ombre look fade on my manicure. I wasn't going to get a manicure but they talked me into it and I'm glad they did. Ting was wonderful. She worked very hard trying to get my nails the way I wanted them and did an excellent job! Obviously COVID has changed things drastically for businesses like nail salons, so we were set up outside in the back of the establishment. That didn't take away from the experience at all, though. Just had a Gel Manicure done by Keiu ( pronounced Q) she did a great job and was very kind and helpful. Someone had come in during my appointment asking for her specifically since she does such a good job and now that I see the finished product I agree. The atmosphere is very similar to most Salons in Petaluma. All staff seemed very friendly and seemed to have a lot of regulars which is always a good sign. read more

I've come to this nail salon on and off for many years to get pedicures, and I've never been disappointed. It's very simple and clean looking, and even though they don't have massage chairs I think it's a fair trade for the copper bowls they use for the pedicures! I have a friend who's a nail tech and she's always told me the massage chairs with the built in pedicure bowls have way more bacteria, even if the salon cleans and sanitizes them. I've also never gotten an infection or fungus from this place, so I think the copper bowls really attribute to that, and they must sanitize they're tools really well. For just a basic pedicure it's a fair price in my opinion, and they do a hot stone massage for no extra charge! I will continue to keep coming back here for my pedicures, and will always recommend this salon for anyone looking for a good place to go for nails :) read more

update: the nails I had fixed peeled at the tips very quickly, and every time i showered my hair got stuck between my Gel& Real nails, like I had on old acrylics or something meh. Probably won't try them again in the future. read more

I am cheap. I love a good deal. And I have been have mani's and pedi's at this place for 10 years. I get a pedicure every two weeks, yes, there, I have admitted my one guilty pleasure. A pedi every two weeks, like clockwork. My daughter and her friends now come here as well. When my daughter was younger she would get pedi's and they would charge me half price for her. She just loved it and now she has her nails done as well. A family tradition! Everytime I come here I bring my own lotion and color but the girls always tell me to "pick out a color" and I tell them I have brought my own. Every two weeks I have the same conversation. I don't have a favorite girl, I don't make appointments. I just come with my stuff - usually on a Tuesday or Wednesday because it is slower those days. I am not a talk-at-the-nail-salon person. I come here to relax and have my feet taken care of. I bring my Ipad or a book and I relax. I think I might start bringing a mini bottle of wine as well - a notion I got when the lady sitting next to me was drinking a Saporo beer right from the can. My toes always look good, my feet are well tended, they will even put sparkles or designs on them. And all for 24 bucks. Best 24 bucks I spend every two weeks. read more

This is one of those rare occasions where I wish Yelp had negative stars and a big caution sign I could slap onto a business listing. I came here with my mom on a late Sunday afternoon after a rave review from some of her friends. We both had appointments at 2:30 and arrived about 5 minutes early. We announced that we had appointments to the one person who bothered to look up when we entered, grabbed some nail polish, and began the waiting. Around 3:00 PM they ushered us to the big plush chairs. A few minutes later my mom was brought a copper tub to soak her feet and I kinda just kept on chilling in my giant chair. Eventually a pot was brought out for me and somebody began my pedicure. At this time we're 45 minutes past our appointment and nobody is working on my mom's pedicure. We weren't the only one with this problem, surprise surprise. Another woman started loudly complaining that no one had greeted her and that her appointment was 30 minutes ago while I was getting my pedicure. At this point the lady who was giving my pedicure became a NASCAR driver of a pedicurist and began racing her way through my service. I think she may have set a record - I'm guessing it took her all of 10 minutes to give me the complete spa treatment. Needless to say, I felt rushed, bruised, and annoyed - especially because my mom STILL HADN'T STARTED HER PEDICURE! WTF? My mom gave up and told the lady working on my feet that she wasn't interested any longer. The woman shrugged, ditched my pedicure, and went on over to the other angry client. Do not come here. Ever. Right as i came in (without appointment) they were so welcoming. I picked out my nail colors and took a seat in the comfy big chairs. I was then asked to put my feet in the large copper bowl filled with rose petals and lemon slices. As she was working on my feet, another women worked on my fingers. The pedicure was so luxurious. They were kind of busy when I arrived but they took me to a chair right away. Wendy was very thorough.
