Hot wax and small vittles are a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon! Jenn our fearless soy candle leader was informative and fun. I appreciate her authenticity and real connection that she made with us. It was nice to meet someone who was able to be themself. Refreshing. The entire class was an intimate group of five total. Jenn took her time with us and made sure that we were happy with the scents we chose for our candles. The class spends a bit of time talking about scents and how to layer them. Did I learn how to make candles on my own? No. It was more of an introduction to the world of candle making. Give it a try and dip your wick into it. FYI: You get a 15% store wide discount on the day of the workshop. Scents open up more fully in your candle after a few days. One Disappointment: We checked Google and Yelp for their hours and thought we could make it before they closed. We raced over for our candles after work. Google & Yelp HAVE MISINFORMATION about HOURS. We tried to call...no answer. Hours are not posted on their door. So check their website for their hours.

They had all this natural wood, stone, clay and fabric items that felt so Zen like as I walked in. The store is not overwhelming, it's got a nice selection with well curated and complimentary items next to each other as to give you a complete vision for your home. I found out not only do they carry sustainable products but the artisans that supply Ceto Home are respected & paid living wages to produce said items. It's a concept long overdue. It's a pretty small store the selection is small it they seem to have some cute home decor from San Francisco and maybe local artist. The main reason for my 3 stars is price. It just seems incredibly unreasonable. There were felt coasters for $30, little felt rings to put on your wine glass for $28, reusable bag for shopping that was $68, tiny vase for a tiny succulent was $28 but you could buy a whole basket of succulents with a basket for that price. And a very small candle for $35. I'm not rich but I'm not poor and I would find it very hard for me to come back to those prices. I felt that the items weren't that more unique to hold those prices.

My main complaint about Acorn is although the children's aspect of their selection is adorable and super cute, their home decor palette is not at all my taste. The service was friendly and warm but I'd love to see them focus on children's items similar to Bella Vita and phase out some of slightly random decor that doesn't seem to make sense in the space. Overall, Acorn Shop is an adorable store that just needs more of an edit to really shine.

I have been replacing my All Clad non…read morestick with Hestan titanium which Science says is the best nonstick pan that isn't bad for your health or require the seasoning and heft of cast iron. I went in to ask how to use my new pan because it was sticking a bit. Of course they knew exactly how to solve my problem. I needed to learn how to use my new pan. You have to heat the pan (dry) first, before you add your fat, then add your food (eggs for me). It worked perfectly. The pans have worked every time since. It's always a new learning experience with new technology. Classic nonstick pans taught us never to heat an empty pan. Now it's the reverse. ILeoni has the most knowledgeable staff around. We all know too well how rare good customer service is today. I shop there as often as possible. I want a family owned small business to be able to thrive and be here for decades to come. I was taught that you vote with every dollar you spend. iLeoni has my vote. Excellent service, competitive prices and the best selection around! Happy shopping

Meanwhile the very sweet (and clearly new) employee tried to locate additional stock on the computer for two items. No luck, so she checked with one of the women preoccupied with her co-workers who said she didn't know if more stock was coming. This second employee announced that the rep for brand A and another for brand B hadn't been to the store and she had no idea when they might visit. I asked if she could order what I was looking for and she said "no, we have to order in bulk". No suggestions , no offer to help. I went back to browsing and the new employee located something similar to what I wanted, so I bought it and two other alternatives, as I needed a gift asap. The new employee wrapped my items up, was very kind and thanked me. I honestly thought maybe I stumbled into a reality show, where the store employees were actors trying to be unhelpful. I refuse to shop on Amazon and that's what brought me to this local shop....but next time I'll find somewhere else to spend my money. For a boutique kitchen store, they evidently don't need the business enough to appear even mildly helpful. But thanks to that new employee.
