Leaving the house was pure chaos and nearly impossible to do. Encounters with strangers and other dogs were complete hell that I tried to avoid at all costs so my dog ended up staying home most of the time. I tried other trainers and anxiety medications for my dog but they provided minimal relief. Once I took my dog to Tim, I started seeing improvement each week. Tim is very knowledgeable about dog behavior and offers a very individualized approach to every dog's needs. He is passionate about dogs and dog training and really cares about getting results for you and your dog. He listens and provides thoughtful insight and helps you to understand and change your dog's behavior so that you have life-long lasting results. He has completely rehabilitated my dog in a way that I didn't think was possible. He really believed in my dog's potential and encouraged me not to give up, for which I am incredibly thankful. His classes are interesting and uniquely designed and focus on a variety of skills so that your dog is challenged and not bored. It has been very rewarding seeing my dog (as well as all the other dogs in the class) make so much progress. Thanks to Tim my dog no longer has to be left behind at home and I can take him with me when I go out. He is much calmer and more confident, listens to commands and gets compliments on his manners. I can now take him on walks, go to parks, the beach, outdoor patios, shopping, etc. and enjoy life and the city together. Even if your dog doesn't have behavioral issues, I really recommend Tim and his dog training classes for basic dog obedience. Even if your dog just needs to brush up on a few skills like listening to commands, leash walking, impulse control, etc., I highly recommend Tim. Having a well trained dog is an invaluable asset, it has really changed mine and my dog's life. Thank you Tim!

I arrived at 6:55am and got out of my car at 6:59. No one answered the doorbell, an employee showed up but couldn't enter since the manager had not yet arrived, there was also another employee in her car waiting... long story short one employee call the manager at 7:26. He answered his phone and said he'd be another 25 minutes, which was completely unacceptable! Therefore, since the manager was an hour late, I had to leave because I had other plans. I found another groomer for my dog and I was very happy with the results.

The groomer, Edith, felt through his fur and said it wasn't bad. I told here there was matting on one ear and he would need to be cut shorter on his ears. She felt it and agreed. I received a call that Cairo was ready for pick up, at that time I was informed that Cairo wouldn't allow the clippers near his face. No worries, they told me that before. When I arrived to pick up, I was greeted by another groomer. All the groomers were grooming dogs, including Edith that groomed Cairo. Normally, she greets me upon pick up. This time she kept grooming and the other groomer stopped grooming the dog she was with. Edith never even looked up. I didn't recognize my dog. I can understand having to cut a dog low, due to matting but I would still expect it to be even. He was botched and his tear stains and fur under his eyes was untouched. When he's gotten a wash the tear stains lighten some. It looked as if she just took the clippers to him, carelessly. I don't normally complain but this was horrible.

My wife and I chose to train with the Sit Means Sit team in may of 22. Kerry and her teams training program was exactly what Buzz and I needed. Just 7 months later, I can confidently take my dog anywhere and know that he will be focused on me when told. Sit means Sit gives us the opportunities to socialize and reinforce the training with their group classes. Buzz also loves his additional 'change of leadership training' that allows him to get used to day camp with a one on one trainer without me being a distraction. I can now confidently leave him at day camp. Best of all, my 9 year old niece practices training with buzz when she visits. Kerry, Sarah, and the Sit Means Sit team has helped and continues to go out of their way to make Buzz a great dog.

Since they deleted my review on Google, I will post it here…read more.. TRASH! Don't hire this woman, unless you want to pay her to harass and verbally attack your law-abiding neighbors, while torturing your dog with an e-collar. In front of the owners, she purposely let their dog CHARGE at my dog and I, before zapping the dog to stop. Walking on the sidewalk, I saw the off-leash dog and waited for them to go into their house and avoid a confrontation. The woman (I didn't know was a "trainer") and I locked eyes, she knew I was respectfully, waiting to cross. However, I didn't realize she was planning to let the dog BOLT towards my dog. She let the dog run at me, across their lawn. She then proceeded to verbally attack me for being upset about it. THIS IS NOT OKAY. I understand they were on their front lawn. But the dog was not secured and an e-collar is not a leash. And of course, how would an innocent bystander know the dog was going to get shocked and turn around. But I should have known, because before this, I heard a dog crying in agony down the street. Obviously, he's not trained. She's just going to torture your dog and call it "trained." Do not pay this woman. I don't care if you're a trainer or not, you don't let a dog run at anyone!!

After speaking with several training programs, visiting some, and prayerfully considering what the right choice should be Madi Potts helped make our choice easy. Before we would trust anyone with our little 7.5 lb boy, we had to get a sense of one's heart. My husband and I were not looking for someone who could simply "control dogs" or "make them obey commands". We wanted someone who had a heart for dogs to have better lives with structure, less fear, and longevity due to possibilities that came with what training offered. My first inquiry call with Madi was pretty long, if I recall right. She was patient, understanding of my many questions, and willing to talk as long as I needed to feel she was safe to go to next step with. We started with a 90 min at home training session to see first hand and understand how she would personally be as a trainer with Beans. That training was stressful and also a relief as we believed we found the right person to entrust our boy to. When the day came for him to be picked up, both my husband and I were crying. It wasn't just about trusting a new person to take care of Beans, it was also the resurfaced grief of losing our whippet girl of 11 years just a few months prior. The "what ifs" where overwhelming, but we agreed we were moving forward. Madi also saw our "anguish" if you want to call it that. She quickly said she typically doesn't give an update for the first 24-48 hours but she would update us that evening. To her word, we got a picture of beans at the park and our hearts settled a bit. Throughout the two weeks, Madi was wonderful about keeping us up to date and answering questions as needed or as we annoyed her (lol we might have been a little over the top haha) She never hesitated to share and ensure our boy was learning, and struggling in some areas, but overall doing great. Now that he is back with us, we have already had one of our follow up appointments and are so thankful Madi was who helped us with Beans. He was so happy to see her and made her say goodbye before leaving (even though he was supposed to "stay", lol). Training is still a ongoing work daily, Beans still doesn't love his crate but is accepting he is safe and it's ok to not see us 24/7 (Italian greyhounds are Velcro dogs to the max!) This was an emotional, time, and financial investment that we continue to place priority on. I know many will say do not board and train an Iggy, but for our family, giving him and us the tools to have a successful life together was important. We did our due diligence and don't regret our decision. Actually we are extremely grateful we found Madi and Suburban K9. When she left after our last follow up session she looked at Beans, gave him a scratch and said "I love you". I have no doubt she does, for that I am thankful. It is my hope everyone will find someone as knowledgeable and kind hearted toward an animals as Madi is. Thank you Suburban K9 for helping us learn puppy manners with Madi. We are forever grateful. We also attend the group classes which are incredibly unique and let my dog build up practice interacting with other dogs in a way that reinforce new, good behaviors. My neighbors are thrilled with the progress almost as much as I am - my dog no longer automatically barks at everyone outside now and is able to make new friends. The in home training we did originally was incredibly valuable to get us started on the right foot. We need to do that again very soon! Is it the least expensive daycare and/or training in the area? No. But it is ABSOLUTELY worth it. When I leave my dog in the care of The Canine's Voice I know that she's going to be safe, loved, and will learn a few things while she's there.
