Our 14 1/2 year old Yorkie was overdue for a grooming. Our last groomer left us in a bind when she called into work. I called Petco even though I was extremely hesitant. Kacey answered and right off the bat I was put at ease. She's got such a great personality! You can tell she is gentle, caring and loves what she does. She squeezed our Yorkie in for us. We understood it may take a bit longer than usual because she did squeeze him in. She called part way through just to update us which was so nice. When I went to pick our Yorkie up and met Kacey (our son had dropped him off for me) I was so relieved. What a sweet person! Our Yorkie looked great! He was also very relaxed. Kasey gave me some useful tips and while we were there I booked his next grooming appointment. She was that good!!! Thank you Kasey. Melinda below mentioned they are pricey. I was a first time groomer customer booked an appointment for 8/24/26 @ 8am. Appointment reminders sent by Petco a number of times. Morning of appointment just after 7am I get a text saying Looking forward to seeing you at 8am. I get to the store & I am waiting outside & 4 mins. before my appointment I get a call saying they need to cancel my appointment due to groomer not coming in. I understand things happen but 4 mins before appointment is just wrong. Needless to say I will not be returning to this place. read more

I went here to buy diapers for the first time for my boyfriend's elderly dog. The little guy was having a lot of "accidents," which were becoming more frequent, even after just going outside. I decided to consult with the woman working at the grooming check in, and she was extremely knowledgeable and helpful, and encouraged me to follow my intuition about the possibility of a UTI. End of story: fur-baby saw the vet that day and is being treated for a UTI. Thank you!! But we have the diapers for future use. :) read more

Filter crashed, my fish were suffocating. The online order took 5 days for the wrong filter to get here. No time left, my fish will die. I called Petco, Clifton Park. Yes they were open and yes they had the correct filter, come now. Disaster averted, all within the golden hour. Thank you from the bottom of my heart and tank. This was my 2nd time bringing my 2 dogs here for grooming a Wheaton and a shorkie. First time went well I was happy with the sevice and the grooming. However this past visit, 9/27/20 I left very disappointed! A Wheaton has a certain look the bangs fall in front I asked for the same cut as the first time when I picked them his bangs had been completely cut off gone!!! The person was not friendly at all. I didn't say anything just left. Its pricey there so I expect to get great service and a good cut! If she didn't know what Wheaton look was she should have said so! I wont be back it will take months to grow back!! read more

Everybody that works here are friendly and helpful. We've never had a bad experience. Our older Dalmatian went through all the puppy training right up to AKC good citizen cert. We were so happy with how well she behaves that we got a second Dalmatian knowing the training we would get from Anthony. We highly recommend Anthony to train your puppies. The groomers are great also. They are very comforting to the puppies when they are nervous and unsure what's going on. They spend a little extra time with them to get them calm when they're scared. This is our go to pet store. We feel like part of the family. read more

Went here for fish and found this department to be pretty gross. The lighting was very dim and the floors where wet. The fish tanks had dead fish in them and didn't seem to have been cleaned in months. I left buying nothing because it was actually pretty gross read more

My boyfriend and I bought a 50 gallon tank at Petco because our angel fish was getting so big. We also had two African knife fish and two cleaner fish that were also getting pretty big. Once we had the tank set up for about 2 months we decided to go back and get a few tetras. We brought them home put the bag in the water and let them get used to the temp. of the water. We let them in the tank and they stayed at the bottom for a few days to get used to the tank. I came home from work one day to find all of my fish with white eyes and white spots all over them. We have had all sorts of fish for about 5 years now; it has become quite the hobby for us so we knew what ick was. The fish that we got from their unkempt tanks had spread ick within one day to all of our fish. The fish that we have had for at least 2 years are now dying a slow terrible death. We have tried to drain the water out and we put the blue medicine for ick in the water and nothing seems to be working. I would never in a million years go back to this place. We have spend so much money here the least they could do is keep up with their tanks. If they knew that all of the tetra's had ick they should not be selling them to people especially when we talked to Bill (the guy who picked the fish out) and told him how many fish we have and that we've had them forever, but he proceeded to scoop out the fish and bag them up. I would not recommend this place to anyone!!!!!!! So Benson's Pet Supply it is from now on. read more
