Didn't get his name but he had earrings and was a ginger. He doesn't deserve his role at all with this attitude and zero customer service. The store may be ok, but the clinic is a joke. They set appointments based off their time. If they want to go home early that day, np, they forfeit their customer with an appointment to leave the day early. I had an appointment at 5:50pm due to work, this is the soonest I can arrive (They state their open till 7pm) -and they move my appointment up over an hour and never once spoke to me via phone or got a confirmation in writting that I agreed to this. Meanwhile I receive 3 r text today saying we look forward to seeing you a 5:50pm. They could care less. Is that how your treat animals too? I spoke to THE TECH, who was just walking out per the front desk, and her exact greeting was "how many I help you" followed by her passing the phone off and walking out at 506PM. The answer I am givin is, I told the tech I wanted to cancel. Dont think speaking to a manager is any better, no one is over the clinic, they take no responsibility and have no other contact so of course their higher ups will never know. Touché. For the customers looking to bring a pet for vacations or other medical services- go to a real clinic. This was a joke. read more

pretty frustrating trying to navigate between their online and store systems. i purchased some pet fencing online (since it was not at the store) and received one of the units but 2 others were to be shipped later. I waited almost a month and finally concluded that the online tracking info must be wrong. contacted customer support and they said: 1) they would re-enter the order and get the shipment out, 2) then..they said they could not fulfill the order and would refund me because they did not have inventory, 3) then, when I pointed out they have it on their website (but at a higher price) and it will ship today.... the likely issue is that the fencing was listed as some type of promotion or sale and now it is more expensive and they won't honor the order. its a few hundred bucks...but...wasted a lot of time and will probably just avoid using Petco in the future if at all possible. it should not be this hard...and...the local store won't deal with you on an online order. other places like home depot are seamless ...and you can go into their store with any online issue and get it resolved. read more

I shop here when I need to bring my sister to therapy across the street. I bought a harness for my puppy. I asked if I can trade it, if our pup didn't like it. The clerk said "no problem ". That was 1/17/22. Today 2/21/22. The clerk said that it was beyond petco's 30 day return policy. He was RUDE. I'm always get emails offering deals to shop at other stores. I will. The problem is when you do good things people tell a few people. When you treat people like $hit, they tell a lot of people. I guess you guys don't need a costumer base. You should check the internet, there's a lot of stores competing for our money. I won't shop at your chain of stores again. read more

I live in Austin and I am visiting family in the neighborhood. I went to Petco today because I wanted to pick up a puppy potty training bell. Upon walking in, I asked a worker if they had some and she checked the shelf and we checked it and they didn't have it. So I explained that I am not from the area and I asked if there was another pet store nearby. The employee said, "oh don't worry, there's another Petco only 15 minutes away". I then said, "Are you telling me that there aren't any other pet stores closer? She then went on to say that there weren't. And followed up with, "It's Christmas, I am sure you can stop by one of those stores to pick up bells... So I left, opened yelp and found that there's another pet store only 5 minutes away and two others just a bit further... I have been a loyal customer to Petco and in all my years I have never met an employee at one of your stores who was less helpful and straight up rude. Not sure if this store will survive if it's only answer to everything it lacks is to lie to customers and tell them their only other option around here is 15 minutes away and it just so happens to be a Petco. Needless to say I am going to tell my family about my experience and we're going to go somewhere else that cares about providing a quality experience for the customer, rather than treat me like another number that doesn't really matter.. Thanks for making my quick trip to the store a whole lot longer and proving the type of culture that is a real turn off. If you don't believe me, walk in the store right now and talk to the brunet employee at the front counter... I am sure this is a regular thing, so you can receive the same sort of experience I did.. I came in quickly to buy a carrier, but was blown away by the customer service here. Right when walking in the cashier Freddy was super welcoming. While looking for the carriers Rebecca helped me find them, and when checking out Clara answered some questions I had about cleaning the carrier and even offered to help put the carrier together. The three of them helped me put together which I was super grateful for because it looked pretty complicated to put together. The store seemed well kept and clean plus I think the self wash station is a super awesome idea. Totally recommend this store! read more

I came to Petco to get some dog toys with my Petco rewards and coupon but the system was acting up. Tiffany kept trying, was super apologetic and gave us an extra coupon for our wasted time. Tiffany was sooooo nice that even my 9 year old daughter noticed how above and beyond she went to keep us happy. This is especially refreshing because I stopped frequenting this location a couple years ago because of rude staff. I will definitely be back! read more

So happy that Unleashed has expanded from San Diego and into Houston. We love this store and the incredible customer care from the staff, Omar and Wendy are the most helpful. It is a small store but they offer *self dog wash station *variety of premium dog/cat food *treats/toys/ collars and leashes *training classes *crates *medications I can pretty much find whatever I need in here. Placed a order for online pickup at this location. I had my wife drive out of her way to stop by on her way home from work to pick this order up as we were fresh out of dog food. Needless to say this is where the problems began and also another reason I will not shop at Petco again! When my wife arrived there was an empty store, not a single person inside. She gave the young woman our order number, she began to start pacing the isles to find the dog food. Come to find out they do not have that dog food in stock even though it said online they did! The young woman who had nothing to do didn't even take the time to try and fulfill our order until we arrived hours later. What an absolute horrible experience, I expect this store will close within 6 months to a year. Never again! read more

I was a first time visitor to Unleashed on Barker Cypress today. I wanted to take advantage of the self dog wash. I was greeted right away and taken back to the washing station when I told them I was a first timer. The young girl was kind and explained everything to me before she left me to my work. The tub was large and easy to use, the water was warm and my dog enjoyed the bathing part. The soap did go quickly because they water it down. I understand the reason for doing so though, cost effective that way. They supplied conditioner, towels and brush as well. My dog wasn't very keen on the blow dryer, but we got the job done well enough. I'm sure I could have done a better job if he wasn't so anxious and I wasn't such a newbie. Great experience! My dog got "skunked" last night around 6:30. This was not the first time. I took him here to use their self-wash station the last time this happened and they were very accommodating. I also take my dog here almost weekly for baths as he is a large dog and I have back issues so their self-wash stations are awesome for my situation. Except for last night. Got there at 6:40 and was rushing to the back, telling them along the way my dog just got skunked, and was stopped and told they were closing in 20 minutes. I told her (don't know her name as I was in a panic) I was aware and that I promised I would be fast and finish by then. She said they already "closed the baths down" and turned to ask some girl in the back and she said yes, "it's closed, it's posted". I exclaimed, this wasn't a planned, regular bath time visit - he was just skunked! She just said "sorry". REALLY!!! I'm not stupid, I know they were just being lazy and wanted to get off at their regular time, which I totally get, but it takes NO TIME to clean up those stations and I would have gladly helped! THANKS FOR SHOWING YOUR TRUE ANIMAL LOVING COLORS LAST NIGHT!!! read more

Have visited this place twice, I had no idea what it really was at first. Thinking it was only a grooming, however, it's much more! Both times, I was greeted by staff upon walking in. Always a plus! And it's clean!! Selection is small, since it's more of specialty type location. Like the full Petco's, it carries natural choices, which is what my little one gets. So it's nice to have a compact version of what we buy, and not have to weed out the junk foods/products. They also have the treat bar, and it was fully stocked and clean. Toy selection is smaller too, but has some good items. The staff is usually doing something, building displays or helping customers, not holding a conversation with each other or looking bored. Looks like they have a lot of events for pets, hopefully can attend one at some point. read more
