I have been going to this location since it opened. Now they will refuse to allow me to buy fish if they ask you your fish tank size and if they calculate the maximum size the fish will grow. Thus you cannot buy fish by the total number inches they think the fish may ever grow per number of gallons.(If they think a glow fish will grow 3 inches, then 3 gallons must be in the tank. I have 6 - 1 inch glow fish, they will say that an 18 gallon tank is the maximum size tank for them. No more fish allowed, PERIOD. That includes catfish bottom feeders, snails. I have a double filtration system which should handle more fish and water is changed regularly but they refused to go against THEIR rules, even if I want to take any risks. I have raised fish since childhood and never heard such rules. I am now having to going elsewhere up the road. Too bad, they have lost a long term customer. read more

I have never experienced a worse customer service by cashier than this Petco store. The cashier made fun of me for the tip I gave to the groomer. At first she wanted me to give the tip by cashier, then she started to have an attitude when I asked her to add to the card. What worse was, when I told her how much to add, she started laughing at me. WILL NEVER GO BACK AGAIN!!! read more

Everyone in the grooming salon is so helpful and friendly! You can tell they love what they do and the dogs come out looking great! The store employees are very nice and help you find what you're looking for and answer any questions you have. They have a large clearance section as well and the store is well organized. I've been bringing my dog here to get groomed for years. I made an appointment online for a new small dog. I received a call telling me he's leaving at 4 and wanted me to bring him in earlier for a bath and nail trim because it would take several hours! He kept telling me he's leaving at 4. We had other plans so I changed it to just a nail trim at 3. He said that works. We leave our parent's just to get him there at 3:00. We walk in and he has his back to me, sounding annoyed telling us we'll have to wait because they are hours behind for some unknown reason. He was incredibly rude, so we left with no nail trim. I won't be taking my dogs there anymore. His attitude was awful and I was surprised since this hasn't happened before. read more

We adopted our two cats from another Petco. Petco is the only place for our cats' dry cat food. They also have great cat toys. The staff is extremely helpful. read more

They NEVER have my dog's food in stock. I can't be the only one that wants natural organic dog food. Also irritated with the judgey look from the dog trainer at PetCo when I said I've decided to litter box train my dog. She said, he'd NEVER go outside, since he's been trained inside. I'm sorry I don't have 2 hours twice a day to take the dog out until he goes potty outside. Because if I take him outside 15 min after he eats, I have to wait 2 hours for him to potty. If I bring him in before he goes he'll go in his cage, and I'm sick of clean up his S**T Vet encouraged me to pad train when we got him, since he was too small (less than 2 lbs) to be outside during the winter. Now he's a little bigger (~2.5 lbs) and misses the pad at times, and I'm sick of cleaning up after him. Add to that we are moving on Saturday and the house has brand new wood floors!!! Yeah, I'm not trying to deal with dog pee on new wood floors. So yeah, unless you want to come over and potty train him to go outside in your infinite wisdom, he will be going in a litter box BITCH!!!! Update: Now that we are in a large house with a backyard, puppy has no problems going potty outside. And he prefers it. read more

My brief experience here was great! I stopped in with my brand new rescue doggy for a couple things and everybody was super friendly. My dog was a little shy and didn't take a treat at first, so they went and busted out the big guns with a frosted cookie! My dog warmed right up and had a good time. I had chatted w the cashier about going to the dog park nearby on Main St and when I couldn't find it, I called the number on my receipt and a couple employees looked it up on their smart phones and gave me some better directions over the phone! Honestly I would give zero stars if I could. I have the most loving Pitbull and I took him for a regular bath since the petco closer to my home was booked. They say they only used hypoallergenic shampoo-keep in mind my dog has been to a different petco for a bath several times- but the next day I noticed bumps on his back I thought he had rolled around in something and didn't make much of it. The morning after that I went to pet him and he cried even when I approached him. I took him to the vet and they tell me he has hives and it's most likely an allergic reaction to a shampoo he used my dog can't even sit without crying it breaks my heart. He hates his cage and now he stays in it all day and night so no one approaches him. I have never seen him with so little energy in my life I aim extremely saddened and will never bring my dog back. read more

Joselyn did a wonderful job grooming our little Wrigley. It took her a long time to comb out Wrigley's ponytail, but now our little girl looks amazing. It had been a long time since Wrigley had her last grooming. Joselyn was not available for a long time and my husband took our dog in to see another groomer. Wrigley would not co-operate with any other groomer other than Joselyn. She always does a terrific job and we are always very pleased. Wrigley gets nervous and doesn't like to be put in a cage. Joselyn always calls my husband about 15 minutes before she finishes her grooming. When he comes to get her, Wrigley is usually lying down on the floor waiting for him. read more

This review is only of my grooming salon experience. They were able to give me an appointment right away for a bath and cut for my small dog. Michael was the groomer and he got my dog done quickly, within an hour and a half. This is great because I have gone several places where it takes 2 1/2 or 3 and that has always seemed ridiculous. My dog is only 13 lbs. and her fur dries quickly so I think a lot of that extra time is probably my dog sitting in a crate waiting. Michael even took the time to call me when the original length I requested wasn't taking off much. He asked if I wanted to go shorter, which I did, and I was really happy with the result. read more

WORST STORE! Stopped in for some items for my new puppy, could barely navigate the cart through the store due to carts full of stuff blocking the aisles. Not a single person acknowledged my presence until I was leaving, then some guy told me to "have a good one." I only saw him and one other employee the entire time I was there, so I left and went down the street to PetSmart. read more

I love how Petco hosts dog rescue groups. Instead of selling dogs that may not come from a good situation they let Safehavendogs.com come and show dogs that need a home. The people who adopt a dog are right there if they need to buy a new treat or leash for their new family member. It's a win/win situation. read more
