Jessica the grooming manager, was very unprofessional and messy. I brought two of my dogs in for grooming services ) one of them was recently rescued and I adopted her. I was bringing her in to get her grooming services done. And all because my dog barked. They made a big deal and said that they were not going to do her services. I was completely fine and understandable about that. My other dog , they were fine upon taking her in) but they kept bringing up unnecessary remarks... after that, I just did not feel comfortable taking on the service with them, so I just asked for my dog back and I left to schedule an appointment with a different Petco. I called the Cypress location, and they scheduled the appointment for both of my dogs. But in the beginning of my conversation with them, they mentioned that both of my dogs have been blacklisted. But that they will still take them in for an appointment and kind of see how they interact on that day. After getting off the phone with the Cypress location, I go back to this location to speak to the manager. Upon the situation because it's very disgusting and unprofessional. Jessica made sure, both of my dogs, especially the one I just rescued was completely blacklisted from getting any grooming services done from Petco. She even had the audacity to call the Cypress location to make the story even more dramatic and add more notes and said that my dog nipped one of the employees which was not true. Having the Cypress location call me and tell me that is completely ridiculous. So unprofessional and sad. read more

I won't return here and I recommend avoiding this vet clinic. It's not my regular vet, but I took my dog here because this was closer to the house than my regular vet and I had a tight schedule. Big mistake. My 10 year old dog has a UTI. Between office visit and lab work they charged me over $300 but wouldn't prescribe any antibiotics without the lab work. It's been over 3 days and still don't have lab results or any medication for the dog. So she continues to be sick and I'm $300 poorer. Paid all that money and have NOTHING to show for it. Meanwhile, my poor dog spends most of the day laying round unmotivated to do anything. Geez, thanks a lot, doc! Now I can't afford to take her anywhere else because you already got my money. When at the counter, I went to Jessica to ask for a price check and she rudely replied, "the price is in the tag" not even taking into consideration that there might be discount which was backed up by another associate that there's a promo on the item. Just stopped in to exchange treats I literally bought 2 days ago. Cashier asked if I wanted receipt and I said no because app shows purchase made at this location. Treats bought at checkout. This Petco, has a very negative mindset when it comes to providing services for your dog. When my wife brought our husky, on July 4th, the first thing Jessica (the groomer) said was "he looks very aggressive we may have to have you pick him up if he acts aggressive". Treating a customer with a negative mindset like that is very off putting. Petco groomers are suppose to provide a service, and do it with professionalism. Jessica clearly needs another lesson in customer service, or she may need to take some training on how to respectfully interact with customers. Maybe she does not know how correctly manage expectations, at the end of the day that's not how you talk to a customer. Regardless my wife dropped our husky, within 10 minutes Jessica calls me saying my husky is being aggressive and to come pick him up. My husky does not bark, has never growled at a person, and won't ever bite, he is scared of the groomers and doesn't like being wet. That does not mean he is aggressive. When I went to go pick him up it looks like they were getting ready to clean up and leave. Maybe Jessica and the other groomer wanted to leave early to celebrate 4th of July, so of course the best way to get rid of doing the work is to call us to pick up our dog. The unprofessionalism of this Petco is is obvious enough from all the other negative reviews. Don't go here. I don't know what their policy is when a dog has an accident in the store - maybe its not part of their job to clean up. I have a Sr. dog, she couldn't hold it and urinated on the floor. An 'associate' was right there putting up stock. I said "excuse me, my dog had an accident..." and before I could say anything else, she rudely pointed me to a "station" with a big roll of cheap paper towels & a sign that said accidents were no big deal. It was a significant puddle and I pulled more than half the roll down trying to sop it all up. I am a Sr. Citizen too and I don't bend well - my knees don't bend at all. I'm trying to bend over and clean this up and I keep grabbing more and more paper towels, and then holding the dripping towels in my hand so I can throw them in the trash container - which is full - and I asked for a mop or some help and was totally ignored. I used half that roll and by this time I'm having a hard time just breathing, my poor little girl is scared & I want to get her out of there, but I'm still bending over wiping up the floor and picking up urine-soaked towels in my hands. Maybe this was my fault - I always clean up after my dogs when I take them out, but I asked for help and was ignored. I've seen many people watch their dogs urinate or defecate and they just walk away - without even notifying anyone. Maybe I should have just done that. It would certainly have risked a slip and fall, as well as a potential health hazard for other animals and people, but if Petco wants those lawsuits..... I asked for 'wet floor' sign to put up and was ignored. My 72-year-old disabled husband came in to see what was taking me so long, saw me, saw the 'associate' 4 feet away, with her back to me, and asked her for a mop. She finally acknowledged him and muttered "I'll clean it up from here". I got up and my now-scared little dog and I limped out - leaving what we were going to purchase behind. read more

I took my dog for a groom/bath at this location, and the front desk girl at the grooming department was very unpleasant as I was standing there waiting to check my dog in. She did not greet me or at least tell me she would be right with me, and after a few minutes of standing there, I had to let her know nicely that my dog had an appointment because it was already a bit past my dog's scheduled appointment. She then rolled her eyes and said "I can't hear you" as if we were burdening her. After almost 3 hours of my dog's grooming session, in which that is way longer time than usual for a groom my dog has had elsewhere, we called to check in on the status my dog and the same girl from the front desk still gave a snarky attitude over the phone. If you work the front desk or are in customer service, it is highly unprofessional to treat customers unpleasantly off the bat, who are just trying to politely receive some sort of communication on your part. This was the worst customer service I have ever experienced at any grooming salon, and because of this I will not be taking my dog back here, even if the location is convenient. It is not worth it, unless they have some serious staffing changes to more pleasant, mature, and professional employees! read more

Horrible Service. I bought two boxes of dental cleaning chewing and one of the new younger employees was making some strange comments. The manager female came to me and rudely told me that I have to put the bags inside the boxes. What is happening with these employees? This is some of the rudest stuff I've ever encountered. My dog has been coming here a few years. She's only two years old and she's a bichon poodle. I brought her one day and she had incredibly minor mats under her belly, so minor that when I got home, I was able to take them out easily, but had not noticed someone dropping her off. When I tried to drop her off the groomers refused, taking her saying that she was too matted and they weren't going to see her. They said that because they could not see her due to being "too matted" that I had missed an appointment and that they were going to refuse service to us, moving forward. I called to schedule an appointment and they refused allowing her to come back in. The grooming team turnover is high and there are very few groomers that are actually kind and respectful. I just would not recommend grooming here at all. read more

RUN AWAY. STAY AWAY. I had my baby groomed there and told them I wanted the number 5 shave. They jumped up and down stating I shade the shortest shave when I spent about a good 5-10 minutes making sure the groomers understand that I DID NOT want the shortest. I repeated myself several times. I know I did but I know I annoyed the lady. I come back for pick up and my dog had the shortest shaving. I was PISSED. I did not yell. I did not ask for free service. I did not ask for discount. In fact I DECLINED that. I did ask to speak to the Manager and did let her know about my experience. SHE WAS RUDE and said "so what do you want me to do about it". All I said was obviously nothing I knew she didn't give two shits about had happened. Anyway fast forward 3 months later I call again and said ok let's give them a try since they're super close. I was told I was banned because I was rude to the manager and that I said I would be back.... I NEVER SAID THAT. I'm speechless. Petco never failed to disappoint me no matter how many chances I give. This business has the worst customer service, I mean no not the employees it is the management problem. I have no idea how you train your guys. My sister took my 9 month old yorkie to groom here and it seems they were making excuses and my baby came out looking the same. Just before Christmas week I took my yorkie again here. This is not his first grooming session probably the 6th time. Let me tell you I have taken him to Petco in NYC 1 time and they did good job in like 45mins to and hour that's it the groomer had no complaints about him. When groomers come out and take my baby they are always excited and he loves people. My 10 month old Yorkshire loves people and gets along with cats and other dogs as we have a cat and a German shepherd too. So took my yorkie here and bought the $60 package and I wanted to add additional packages and make him look handsome and ready for Christmas, the receptionist was cold and the worst part was the groomer Jessica. I think you need to get a new job unfortunately I don't think you enjoy what you do I mean obviously you won't enjoy cuz I don't think you even like animals sorry but after dealing with couple groomers this is what Jessica made me feel. That being said I as pet owner I am aware that your job is not easy that is why I pay so much to take him to a professional but you are not a pro if you don't know how to even handle puppies. I gave her my yorkie and she said put him on the floor and I listened and put him on the floor and Jessica started running here fingers on my yorkie's hair over and over like for 10mins and I stood there wondering what is she looking for? Then I realized she is checking if he is matted. I told her I brush him everyday as I'm looking to grow his hair long so hair cut is not needed. Just trim his hygiene parts and belly and she kept checking and than she went he has Matt and it's gonna cost extra on top of $75 whatever and I asked her how much extra (for the Matt you can't find) she said $7 I told her keep the $7 than she starts dragging my dog and I told her you can pick him up and he will easily go with you he loves people mostly women and she said No! Can't do he has to come willing. His Groomers in NYC picks him up and he starts kissing and playing with them immediately. When I pick him up after grooming they have told me he has been such a Good boy just the first 5mins he would be naughty. Gurl, you aren't a groomer cuz he is a Yorkshire and yes he has separation anxiety after all he is not even a year and with that unfriendly welcome no animals will go with you Jessica they can sense your energy. Than Jessica said if he doesn't cooperate than I will have to come pick him up I said no worries. For the first time I wasn't at ease leaving my baby with someone who isn't confident at her job. I step out went next door at home, 3mins I get a call from Jessica saying my dog bit her. I immediately apologize and run to Petco. Now I know what she meant by bite.. trust me he doesn't bite he nibbles but I already knew that grooming wasn't Jessica's cup of tea. Jessica had the Audacity to tell me that they won't charge me. They only ever have one of anything I need, so I'm never able to buy in bulk. This is the worst Petco I've ever been to. We will no longer be using this location for grooming services. This is our second and last time visiting this location. We had a scheduled appointment for today at 9:15 AM. Upon arrival I was told that a confirmation was not shown for our appointment however, our dog was shown as scheduled...yea makes no sense whatsoever. They also let me know that another dog was scheduled for the same time slot and that they would take priority of grooming them first, even though we had dropped our pup off right on time. When my husband went to pick up our dog he had ask a simple question about the cost of the services we would be paying. At that point, for whatever reason, the grooming department proceeded to call the manager, not sure why as my husband was not being rude or aggressive at all, just asked a simple question. At that time the manager rudely told my husband that, " whoever dropped off our dog should learn to read the paperwork better". Mind you, my husband NEVER said he wasn't going to pay, he just had a question about the billing. At this point, my husband was frustrated and told them he would not be returning. The manager then told him he would be banned at this location. Fine with me as we were not doing to be returning anyway. Save your time and energy and skip this location completely. All the 1 star reviews are spot on. Worst customer service ever. If you want good service, visit the Petco located on Hwy 6 and 529. They always treat us with respect and take good care of our pup. Zero stars. We have been coming here for the last 6 months or so, but today was the final straw. My husband's service dog is almost 8 weeks post op for hip displasia and in serious need of a full grooming service. After spending an hour past her appointment time, after verifying, for the umpteenth time, that her rabies vaccine is up to date (which we had to jump through hoops to get from our veterinarian) and that she can be groomed, they rudely and unceremoniously told us they wouldn't groom her. No apologies were given for wasting our time or the inconvenience to our veterinarian for spending his day off signing the release form. As a disabled veteran, my husband feels extremely disrespected; he has been very inconvenienced given his dependance on her ability to do her job. We will not be back. read more

Needed to replenish our stock on dog and cat supplies. Visited the store on a Saturday and unlike other Petco. stores I found the inventory at this location was extremely low and the variation of choices to be quite limited. What was especially appalling was the fact that all the employees working were mask-free. I guess Petco doesn't regard the importance of a dangerous resurgence of Corona Virus as enough reason to execute and implement social distancing for valuable employees, customers and their animals. Today I went to purchase a fish. I didn't see anyone near the area. I was approach by a person name Joey. I asked him to give me a fish out the tank. He asked if I had a tank I gave him a strange look because he was aggressive I said yes why He asked how long have I had it. I don't know. What size is it was his next question. Groomers (Ella and another) refused to take my dog because the vet put the wrong year on recent vaccination update. I offered proof, but they denied me service. They called the manager who proceeded to call me a liar, claiming the document is from last year (despite the dates being less than a week ago) and the three women began laughing at me. Please do not go to this location. I am told the manager, a young women, has a bad temper and has to be calmed down by other employees. Not sure why she's still the manager when she treats people so poorly and has an explosive personality. read more

This store location is absolutely amazing! I just love the pet clothes collection that they have to offer, and their toys and holiday selections are cute and durable! Brandy, one of the trainers, is phenomenal and our pup, Brodie Lee, just loves coming to see her! Every staff here makes it a point to come say hi to Brodie when they see him in the store and he just loves all the attention! The customer service line also does a fantastic job of correcting any possible issues with the pals reward account! Would recommend this place to all of my pet loving friends! read more

The worst and rudest staff ever. Went to go look at cat food and they had a clearance shelf but some weren't marked down yet. We had asked the employee (her name was Paige) working in the area if they could check the price. Her response was unnecessarily rude. She really proceeded to ask and say to me, "I don't see a price for it, someone could of put it there. If you take it to the register, they won't mark it down for you and it will be full price. Are you prepare to pay for all that?". Being treated as if I didn't have a cent in my pocket baffled me. Mind you, it was a big pack of Instinct cat food which is above average price and my cats have been eating it for years so whenever I can save a bit then by all means, it didn't hurt to ask. Horrible customer service all the way up to the general manager. Let me start by saying my dogs groom is low maintenance. I only have them trim around her paws, belly and pee area. Otherwise I wouldn't utilize Petco for their grooming...or anything for that matter. Cat in the grooming dept needs a better attitude and to stop being lazy. First off, every time I took my girl in for her appointment she acted like she didn't know who she was. Short term memory loss I suppose. Forces me to believe she wasn't too friendly with my pet either since she acted like she was a stranger every visit. Secondly, the Petco app showed my pets vaccines expired 1/2022. I made a grooming appointment for 1/29, rescheduled for 1/30 and was told when I arrived for the appointment that the vaccines expired one day ago. ONE DAY. Not to mention Cat never once mentioned this when I spoke to her to reschedule. The only thing she mentioned was that she is now pregnant so the groom would suddenly take longer, approx 6 HOURS. 6 hours to clean up a 40 lb dog. Asinine. The moment I arrived, Cat seemed prepared to deny me, like she was looking forward to it. She even had the nerve to argue with me in front of 4 other employees, until the manager told her to calm down and leave it alone. Cat is unprofessional, unfriendly and unmotivated. I should have known better when my first appointment with her she showed up 15 minutes late and didn't bother to apologize once. I spoke with supposed manager, Joey. It was obvious he has no authority, poor thing. He blamed me for "not keeping up with my dogs records." He stated it wasn't their job to remind me. He's right, only a business with good customer service would provide that simple reminder. They're quick to send a thousand texts to remind you of your appointment though. Don't expect much, if anything from this store. This isn't the first issue I've had with them. My pets first grooming appointment, Jessica, in the rudest tone stated my dog really needed work when it comes to grooming. Obviously! I told them from the get-go that was her first groom ever and she was very young, talking months old. Read the reviews, Jessica gives everyone a hard time. I say it's about time Petco starts filling out termination paperwork with her name on it. These so called groomers at Petco are nothing but cashiers with a pair of shears. Grossly under qualified. Horrible attitude and service. Returned a dead fish, Blue Dwarf Gourami, which tends to die quickly due to over breeding. I purchased 7 dwarf gouramis and 3 out of the 4 blue ones died. I tried to explain this to the store manager, a portly Hispanic woman, but would not listen , would not listen. Since COVID my family and I have been hiding away in our home and today I needed stuff for my dogs because they got fleas on our very isolated camping trip. Tiffany at the register today was so helpful and very kind. She helped me find what I needed right away. Not only did she do that but she also educated me a bit and made helpful suggestions for my dogs. I then had questions about my beta and she was just as helpful with that. Went here for my dog grooming at 11pm and at 5pm I went to pick up my dog. The my dog hair was cut super short like with a number 2 clipper. Super love it, and the nails were trim and smoothed out. My dog is super happy and not sad when he saw me, that means he wasnt mistreated. read more

My puppy of 5 months had an appointment to get groomed at 11:00. We dropped her off and they told us everything will be good. I was walking around the store for about 25 minutes to buy things for my puppy and I would casually walk pass by that area to see if I can see my Luna and she was no where to be seen. The two female groomers had other dogs and my puppy has been in the cage for that amount of time. I got a call an hour later saying that my puppy had bit the groomer so they can no longer bathe her. How they "attempted" multiple times to bathe but couldn't. I was just 2 minutes away so I rushed there. The female groomer showed me the "bite" and there was no skin tear or blood as she stated on the phone. They wanted to do a report so I wanted to take a picture of the "bite" on the female's hand and they would not let me. She only showed me her hand for 2 about seconds. I complied to the report but the groomer named Jessica was extremely unprofessional. She wasn't even the groomer that had attended me, it was Eve. But Jessica for some reason felt entitled to get involved. She is a white female with brownish/ dark blonde hair. She had a horrible horrible attitude and her facial expressions towards us was horrible and hideous. Even when we first walked in, she gave us this look like if she was disgusted to see a couple of Hispanics or something. If she can treat human beings like that, I can only imagine how she could treat our doggies. She should not work with dogs. A person with a nasty attitude should not be there. They claimed they attempted to bathe my puppy right when we got there but those were lies. She was in the cage for a very long time and got anxious because of that. I requested to see the cameras because Jessica would make horrible gestures and faces behind the manager Ana's back and they said no. I will never be going there again and you all should be very cautious if you're thinking about bringing your dog here. Especially if Jessica is still employed there. The manger Ana apologized and eventually said she was going to check the cameras later because of Jessica's behavior.
