Got cancelled multiple times with different groomers and was called only once just to be told that the groomer "left"... the audacity is that they marked my dog as a special grooming needs dog (without even seeing him), now I can't schedule online appointments.

Awful service here!!! I visited here on 7/16/26 at 3:10pm. The manager guy here was a total jerk and acted like me asking him questions was wasting his time. Then I spoke with a female here who I photographed who was insanely rude and acted like she was superior to me. I will never return to this store. Don't come to this Petco.

i visited this location on april 18, 2026, primarily to restock on bloodworms. while browsing, i decided to pick up a juvenile angelfish. it wasn't an impulse buy. this was a koi marbled anglefish that i've been reserving space for in my aquariums for months. i have multiple tanks syndrome. my plan for this fish was specific: it would start in an established 40-gallon tank with neon tetras and eventually be moved to my 60-gallon community tank once it reached a size where its natural predatory instincts might pose a risk to the smaller tetras. between those tanks and others i have, there's also no reason why i can't also shuffle fish around later on. since the angelfish was only about the size of a half-dollar, i knew from my five years of experience in the hobby that aggression or predation wouldn't be an issue in the immediate future. i approached an employee for assistance, but the interaction quickly became a disagreement about compatibility because as soon as i mentioned the neon tetras, she refused the sale. i explained my setup, my background in fishkeeping, and my plan to rehome the fish as it matured. i essentially told her i would take full responsibility for the livestock. after some back and forth, she eventually agreed to the sale. i walked away believing we had reached a understanding, even if we disagreed on the level of risk. the situation took a bizarre and unprofessional turn while i was in the checkout line. in front of other customers and staff, a manager approached me and informed me that i was no longer welcome because i had "cussed out" or was "cussing at" her employee, specifically citing the "f-word". banning a customer is a nuclear move. at no point during my interaction with the staff member did i raise my voice, use profanity, or act in a way that could be described as abusive or would warrant such a reaction. i was genuinely flabbergasted at that point. absolute disbelief. if this store has security cameras, i highly recommend reviewing them for proof of me "cussing out" or being abusive to the employee. i was there between 2:30pm and 3:00pm. you will find no evidence of anything other than reasonable conduct. if you find the contrary, i will check myself into a mental institution as it would mean i'm clearly losing grip on reality. i respect a business that prioritizes the health of its animals and tries to educate its customers - so two stars for that. the staff showed concern i would expect. i've seen first hand the crap staff here or any pet store can experience with people coming back with dead fish and blaming the store while demanding a refund. however, i cannot respect a staff member who fabricates stories of abuse to poison the well on a customer's character simply because they didn't like being challenged during a disagreement. using management as a weapon to retaliate against a customer after a sale is agreed upon is a massive failure in integrity. i understand the stress of dealing with uninformed buyers, but lying to justify a power move is where you lose all credibility. not to mention the "sorry he's your husband" insult directed at my wife as we were already walking away with our backs turned. there is absolutely no professional context where a remark towards a customer's marriage is appropriate or warranted. i went in purchasing $10 bloodworms + a few other dollars in supplies. this debacle was over a $4 fish. and for reference, here is the grow out tank it and 2 others went into. no predation yet! i'm decidedly shocked.

He was good around other dogs in the home, but as soon as we were in public, he would lung and try to attack other dogs. It was not only stressful, but also embarrassing! I decided to hire Tom for 4 sessions and see if my pup Murphy still needed additional help. I also opted to meet Tom at his property in Renton instead of my home as he owns several large, high performance breeds and I wanted my dog to have exposure to them. I immediately started to notice a change in Murphy after our first visit. Tom offered practical, easy to use tools and commands, and showed me how to consistently implement them. He is an excellent teacher, flexible to work with, and his methods are very effective. He gave me confidence in my abilities to train my dog, and the desire to want to continue with individual training at home and outside the home. Now I have a dog I am very proud of and happy to take with me wherever I go. Murphy is still working on socializing, but I am happy to report we have visited several off leash dog parks, coffee places, Home Depot, and all different trails and walks through our neighborhood. He responds to my commands, and is a much happier dog because of his training. I would highly recommend Tom & TM Dog Training! Thank you Tom!

We weren't bringing him in for a dog event, and seen that they are pro-groomers (which I agree with!) We weren't a huge fan of the grooming, just because we specifically wanted his legs to be stubby and to not cut down too much. We do wish they didn't shave the feet so far up. Usually it's not too high up and the fur from the legs cover it up a little. For us, we make sure to well groom our dog to avoid any shaving and make it easier for the groomer and make sure to grown his fur on his legs and face out especially due to how we like it groomed. The ears weren't what we described as well, but we cut it more ourselves. There were some spots with shorter hair then the rest and some long hairs sticking out which I fixed at home. It wasn't a fit for us, but appreciate the job that was done because Jax does look clean. I do groom at home so I'll fix up his ears. We did say we're open to "creativeness" so that's fair, but we meant it in a different way hahahah! We give our groomers grace because we know how hard it is, but I also love to be honest about it :) He also came home with a bow which is so cute! Price: $103! And the most expensive we did spend for a grooming for him. We still tipped because she did great, just not the style we wanted. Parking was great and easy to get to, and they have many services. I do want to go back to this place maybe one day but we'll have to see :)

The breed of my puppy is naturally not trusting of strangers, and our instructor made sure to never push our pup into anything she wasn't ready for. For puppy kindergarten, she also allows you to attend multiple classes each week, for no additional cost! We definitely took advantage of this since our pup started out very shy of dogs as well. She's an extremely patient instructor, and typically will go over 2-4 different things each class. She also introduces a different agility item each class, to socialize the pups to the equipment. There's normally 2 puppy playtimes each lesson, one at the beginning and at the end. I'm appreciative that she also locks the doors at all times, to avoid any accidental escapes. The only critique I could give is that sometimes the lessons can be a little disorganized and can get side tracked a bit, but overall the lessons are fairly cheap. Also, I noticed this comes up as an Auburn company, but our lessons are out of the Kent Memorial Park building on Central.

This was unacceptable behavior for us because she needs to be on her best behavior at all times. It was getting to the point where I would avoid another dog if one was walking on the same side of the street. Jennifer is very knowledgable and you can tell right away her years of experience with working with many different breed of dogs. She likes to keep her class limited to a certain amount of dogs to make sure that she spends the appropriate amount of time to work on each dogs issues and our concerns. I heard of a dog training class nearby that sprays the dogs face with water or bitter liquid in order to get them to stop doing bad behavior. This was not the way that I wanted to train my dog and traumatize her. Jennifer does not believe in that sort of negative reinforcement. Our dog has learned so much already and she is not even done with the classes. My husband and I have seen a HUGE improvement on her behavior and have learned many training tips that have proved to us that they really do work! Pick of the litters pricing is VERY reasonable and is a great investment to having a better dog.
