I will never be going back. In the betta fish area. There was a cup that the water was literally green because the fish was dead and decaying. (No I didn't take a photo, I couldn't bear the stomach.) then the other bettas weren't in good condition either. Then half the fish tanks had 2-6 dead fish in the tank that were just rotting away. Most of the live plants were dead, none of the animals looked to be in good condition. It was so inhumane to see and was heart breaking to see as well. Do better for the animals.

We had just picked up our rescue pup and needed to re-supply for our pup! There was a vendor there representing a couple of food brands and she answered all of our questions. Numerous employees were able to answer questions, aid in finding items, etc. We left there very happy and so did Wessley!

This review is for the groomer and the cashier lady where I paid on the way out. The groomer was really nice and helpful and spent time getting to our dog Lucky before she took him back to get his bath and cut. She asked lots of questions because I have not been to this salon before. It seems she followed all my instructions. I really appreciate how nice and friendly she was and how good she was with my dog. I would continue going here except for the fact that I live in South Reno. The drive is not bad but I had to kill 41/2 hours at Legends Mall. Now that is a good way to spend money but I didn't want to drive all the way back home and then back there again. It was real hot outside and I was not prepared for walking in the heat. I did not expect it to take that long because I have spots where he is in and out in 2 hours. So maybe they are more busy although the cutting room had no dogs in it. But it was worth it because I felt my dog was treated good and I liked the groomer "Becca". If you need a good polite groomer who loves dogs, she is the one. When my normal groomer is booked up, then I will be back. The reason for the four stars if the unfriendly cashier where I paid for the groom. I don't know why I could not put my c.c card in the reader and add a tip. She instead asked my what I was going to tip and took my card. That is a little backwards in this day and age.

I scheduled on the app for a bath and cut. When I went in they said my dog needed a shed release which I think is an add on. I asked for them to remove it but met resistance as they claim my dog was double coated. I assure them that he is not double coated, still they refused to take off the shed release. If I refused the add on then they won't cut his hair and only give him a bath. If I wanted both then they offered me to take him home if I don't want the shed release. It all didn't make sense to me as I have been there before in the past. I put pictures up of my dog for reference, he is a Pomeranian mix so he has long hair but he is not double coated. I called to ask petco customer service and they confirmed that the appointment should only be what we as the customer asked for. The shed release is not mandatory and the store should do follow what the customer asked for.

Yesterday late afternoon I had a order to shop for at Petco located at Legends. When I walked in I was greeted by Noah who was behind the counter and he politely let me know that they were closing in 7 minutes. I am not very familiar with petco's layout so I figured that the quickest easiest way to get what I had to do done is it just ask the clerk which turned out to be Noah if he could help me. I was very impressed that the way he just jumped right up to help, he did not point in a general direction of the store and say it's over there, with no hesitation he came out from behind the counter and took me over we got the items Bing bang boom I was out of there in like 4 minutes. It was nice to see someone that didn't hate their job, or didn't hate their life to where when you ask for help they don't roll their eyes or make it noise like unfortunately a lot of customer service employees do nowadays. It was nice to see that the store was clean, organized, and minus the snake, spider, creepy aisle area I definitely recommend going there for your pet's needs and if you can say hi to Noah

Really disappointing! I've been going to this Petco for years for all my fish care and Maintenance but today I was disgusted and left without getting what I came for. Most all the beta fish were dead or in filthy water, the poor lizards all super skinny. DO BETTER FOR THE ANIMALS THAT YOU PROFIT OFF OF!!

We took our teacup poodle puppy for her first grooming yesterday. We were nervous as they told us we'd have to leave her for 3-4 hours. We've always used mobile groomers in the past with our other toy poodles, and they were always done within 1 hour. Mike checked us in and was very friendly and informative. We gave him a list of how we wanted her groomed (ie how short 1/4"; clean feet; shaved face; keep top knot) We left for lunch & errands and came back 2 hours later & waited out front for the call. Mike did an incredible job, and our baby is gorgeous! We highly recommend Mike. Only drawback is leaving her for 3 hours.

Lexie and Elroy say thank you!!

Sierra is an amazing groomer! Dogs were in and out in less than an hour! Great for stressed out dogs! They look and smell amazing will definitely be coming back! Thank you Sierra!!!

This review is based solely on the grooming services. We have brought our little monster to get groomed at this location multiple times. The first time was ok and the second time not so much. The lady who groomed our monsters de a very poor job. Then we met Andrew !! And we will not look anywhere else for as long as we can have Andrew. Andrew takes care of our monster and always leaves him looking good and fresh. Is not a rushed grooming or anything like that. I feel even our little monster likes Andrew because Andrew always says "he was an angel" that is hard to believe hahaha but I'm sure it is true as I can see he is great with all pets he checks in and know how to handle them just right. I am sure he can make the pets feel at ease. Haircuts can be very stressful, even for us humans so I can only imagine how stressful it must be for a pet also. Thank you Andrew for being awesome !!

    Do they have puppy classes?

The Petco in Sparks has pet training classes which includes puppy training from what I know. I do not know however the classes times for that I would recommend you calling Petco to find out. I hope this helps.

When we went to pick up Boris Trevor spent over an hour working with us to teach us how to better manage the behavior as well as go over what Boris had learned. One of the issues we were having was keeping him focused if an off leash dog was around, using the skills we were taught as well as what Boris had learned, when a dog approached us Boris ignored the dog and we were able to continue peacefully. Now Boris is ready to go for the advanced CGC and we will surely be involving Trevor in that process.

We went onto do 3 levels of classes with him. Classes were hands down the best investment we made for him, and he went on to live a wonderful fear-free life. I attribute his high quality of life to his basic training classes and the time we put in when he was a puppy. He learned from a very young age how to settle and be calm in lots of different situations. He learned to trust our directions which kept him safe. Puppy social is in my opinion one of the best classes to put a young puppy in. They get to meet other dogs and people in a safe environment, and the puppies teach each other soft bite and learn how to be social. We recently brought a new puppy into our lives. I love the structure of Pjs classes where your puppy is with the same dogs for the 6-week duration. The happy little puppies can all see each other during the class at Pjs, no barriers (unless required to reduce stress of the pet). I like the scaffolding approach that PJs classes offer. You build the dogs' confidence and skills up in a logical way for them to learn. Plus, the puppies are all watching each other learn the same things. It's adorable. Our new puppy has done several levels of classes at Pjs' beautiful new facility in Sparks and HE LOVES IT. He just completed his AKC Canine Good Citizen, we can now consider therapy work down the road with him. He is so excited to get in the door for any play group I take him to and to his classes. We absolutely loved Rally O with Susie, she is amazing. We have referred Susie to friends with some rescues for consultations and they have been super happy. We will complete all the classes PJ dog training offers, because our dog just loves to learn, he really likes to use his brain. He exudes happiness when we get to class. Thank you, PJ and Susie, for helping us raise a happy confident dog yet again and offering such great classes. Highly recommend Pjs, they have so much experience and are CCPTD certified. They also give you time at the beginning of any class for a quick discussion on any "challenge areas". You learn so much to help you understand your dog's behavior. All classes use positive reinforcement. You learn to build a trusting relationship with your furry family members from a place of respect and love. The facility is always so clean, and they take excellent care in making sure your puppies are safe and not exposed to any bugs. We have never had any problems. 10 stars from us!!

Taking him for a walk was a struggle as no amount of coaxing would keep him from pulling. The biggest problem was that his fear of other dogs would have him acting defensively. After 4 years of living amicably with our other older bulldog, Vinnie began to be aggressive towards him. We were on the verge of turning him over to the Humane Society and then we found Danielle, Brandon and their team. The fee for their services and the length of time Vinnie would be away caused us to be reluctant to book their services. A few phone conversations and emails led us to an evaluation appointment at their home and facility in Fernly. Brandon and Danielle spent more than hour explaining everything to us. They both exhibited the qualities we look for in any professional. They presented their background explained their program clearly and simply, and answered all our questions. We had conserns about their training tools but were reassured with Brandon's detailed explanation. They have a large air conditioned kennel with spacious cages, large fenced in yard bordering a large open space. The staff we met were friendly. They were absolutely clear that their residential training is all about building a foundation and that success is dependent on how well we do our job as dog owners. We then observed one of local classes they provide all around Reno/Sparks. The trainer at the class exhibited all of the same qualities we saw in the owners. The dogs in the class were incredibly well behaved. We then booked a 4 week board and train program. When we picked up Vinnie, his behavior had improved 1,000%. Abby, his superb trainer spent 3 hours with us explaining what they did and walking us through what we needed to be doing moving forward. Brandon came by our house about a week later and spent over an hour with us answering our questions and reinforcing the guidance from Abby. Upon taking him home, he has not exhibited any aggression towards our other dog and our walks are more controlled and pleasant. With board and train you are able to attend classes for up to a year. We are excited to attend our first class with Vinnie soon. While we do not expect everything to be perfect, everyone's life has improved, We are grateful to the Stand Proud team and highly recommend them.

Well little to know it was going to be worst decision and place I could have chosen for my dog and I. I came to this facility due to having a reactive dog. I started back in March it is now June and I still sit at home with a reactive dog limiting the places I can take him. It's absurd! I followed all the procedures even after the 2 week training. Which all that was done during training were obedience commands. While I brought my pet for reactivity?? Ok, moving forward group classes were next. There I am as a good dog mom taking him and processing with such. Just to have some people who have not showed up in months get all the attention with their reactive dog. It is unfair and injustice! While I had been patiently waiting for the help. It also doesn't sound right when I had to constantly beg for the help my dog needs. I paid for the service I should get the help without having to beg for it. Not sure why I wasn't treated or got the help like all the other clients? It is confirmed that their specialty are not dogs who are reactive like mine.(Cane Corso) It is just false advertisement when they say they can help you with any kind of dog breed. If the facility Sit Means Sit did not have the capability of helping me with my pet. I should have been told so at the evaluation, or yet I should have been only charged for they advising me to buy a E collar and figure the rest out on my own. To concluded my review I'm highly disappointed, dissatisfied, and now discouraged since I put in lots of time, effort, energy and money. Now losing thousands of dollars and not getting what I paid for is frustrating!

Pros: They are quick with grooming and wash. Cons: Appointment dates are far out. Also, communication needs to improve so there isn't any confusion or misunderstanding.

I brought my dog to the dirty hairy today . She is a sweet 60 lb mutt who has had two knee…read moresurgeries.' They were great.,she had a full grooming and was done in 45 minutes! She looks clean and beautiful and they were very kind and very reasonably priced as well We will be going back!
