Today May 30th... appointment booked since May 16 No one called me that they will refuse my dog today .. Unprofessional
    Gigi G.

**** NO STARS ***** please please read other reviews as well, not just mine. Steph the grooming manager refused to take my dog today. She said I made a complaint to corporate and that's why. WTF... I made the appointment 2 weeks ago and she, nor anyone from the grooming department, bothered to call me within the two weeks to let me know???? I am sure they check how many appointments they have 2-3 weeks ahead of time. Their groomers would need to know how their schedule would look like and the grooming manager as well. Steph waited till I brought my dog inside the store to tell me that my dog has been flagged???? Btw, I called first to confirm if they're open because their store is not open till 10am (Sunday's) Esther confirmed that grooming is open already and she even asked my dogs name. Didn't tell me or put me on hold to call Steph to tell me that they will refuse Leila anyways. Steph waited till I brought my scared anxious dog inside their store. SMH... grrr Anyways you might be wondering why I complained to the corporate number 2 months ago ??? Here's why... I brought my dog to Petco on March 21 at 12 for my dog's appointment... another customer came in, after I did... and said she was there for the same appointment at noon with Amanda. Both me and the other customer were upset but I showed the groomer at the counter, the confirmation email I received dated Feb 24 ( almost a month scheduled before my dog's appointment ) I will attach it here. The groomer at the counter, didn't believe me till I showed the email. Why? Maybe because I'm Asian and the other customer was Caucasian? I don't know. It was just so disappointing to book an appointment here. Among other customer service related complaints on the same day... I just felt compelled to call Petco's customer service number. Juan, the store manager, called me a few weeks later and apologized to me. He checked the calendar and he said someone changed my dogs appointment for another groomer instead of Amanda. SMH I didn't write a negative review here on Yelp. I wanted to give Petco another chance ... Hell. Nooo... Today... Steph, the grooming manager said that Juan the store manager was wrong, That Juan didn't know what he was talking about... that she IS THE GROOMING MANAGER and she won't take my dog for grooming no matter what Juan said ... Damn ... All I know is... that was extremely unprofessional Instead of being nice to me for the inconvenience I had two months ago... Steph flatly just refused to take my dog for grooming. This is why their rating is 2 stars I have no choice but to put 1 star to review. Steph should be trained and re-trained to EMPATHIZE and learn how to deal with complaints. If you are flagging a dog owner, call ahead of time. I was truly giving your store another chance and this is what you do Steph???? Give me more attitude??? Steph told me to just call corporate ( rude mean cold tone )... trying to get rid of me because there was another customer waiting at the grooming station.... Welp ... I sure will .....Unacceptable!!!

ZERO STARS!!!!!! Esther the "Groomer" at the Petco in Willowbrook butchered my Maltipoo, who is 6 months old. He went in for a bath and puppy trim. After she butchered my fur baby, she had the nerve to say he was the problem and we'd have to take him to a Veterinarian to finish her botched job!!! She doesn't deserve to be a Groomer. You don't shave a 6-month old puppy. She was told not to cut his hair, only trim it. I wish I had never taken him there. I will never, ever go to this location again. I spoke with Trixie the manager at this location who promised to talk to Esther and follow back up with me, I sent her the pictures. Very disgusted.

Do not bring your pet here!! If I could give zero stars I would. Brought in my yorkie yesterday for the first time and took him back with an open wound by his arm. No one told me he was cut, instead was given to me like nothing happened.

Very unprofessional if i can give no stars i would!!! when I first got there the groomer was very unprofessional very rude super aggressive with my dog begin to let me know that she will have to cut my dog fur very short because he is very much matted which was fine with me i wasnt out the store for 30 mins when i get a call to come back because she cant finish because she one dont have the correct blade and two cant get pass the matting but did cut half his fur off. i had to take my dog home half cut...this petco has the worst groomers beware

Steph offered me the best customer service I have ever and will ever receive! I bought some ear wipes and ear mite drops for my dog suffering from the annoying ear mites and Steph offered me great advice on how to treat my dog and genuinely cared about my dog's well being! I hope somebody from Petco sees this because she deserves at least a pay raise! Much love from my dog Scully and I!

Paid for trim and grind. Really? Where?

Dogz'nHarmony, Inc - Dog Training Classes and In-Home Private Consultations

We emailed Aimee explaining the puppy issues we wanted to work on prior to registering for the…read moreclass. We wanted to be sure that this puppy class would be a good fit for our Boxer pup. Aimee recommended that we enroll our puppy in the Puppy 201 class, $250. I thought that was pretty steep, but I read Aimee's accreditations and trusted that our Coco would be with a premier trainer. After about 30 min of the first class, Aimee requested that our puppy be put in the car for the remainder of class time. At the end of class, Aimee informed my 18 year old daughter that this class wouldn't be suitable for Coco, and that we should consider in-home training, which would "only be $30 more" on top of the $250 that we had already paid, and that is only for one in-home session. She also gave another option: that my daughter attend the training classes WITHOUT our puppy, so She can learn training techniques. Why would I pay $250 for my human daughter to take a puppy class? The point of puppy obedience class is for the puppy to learn. I emailed Aimee to let her know that we would not be interested in either of those options, and politely requested a refund. It is now March 9th, 5 emails, one voicemail later, and Aimee has yet to offer a refund or resolution. Her FB website and official website all boasts that "we do our best to answer email within 24-48 business hours"- absolutely not true! So disappointing that a so-called reputable dog trainer would have shady business practices. Very unprofessional!

She came to my house when our Corgi pup, who had a collapsed lung, kennel cough, and pneumonia, was unable to attend class with other pups. Little Bella learned so much and she even let our 10 year old Ridgeback get in on the action! Sadly, Bella passed away after a life saving surgery went wrong. We have since gotten two more Corgi pups and have taken all of her classes, as well as, her coming to the house. Humans need to be trained just as much as the dogs do. If a human doesn't listen, the dog sure as hell isn't going to either. Aimee's techniques are effective and kind to you and your pup. She works with dogs that have issues and is able to correct them. She's amazing, kind, and HONEST. I have recommended her to numerous family and friends, all of which have had positive results!

Upon moving to the area, I was immediately happy to find a place that is accepting of the bully breeds. (AND that they rescue at-risk pups!!!!) I booked a week stay for my pup when I went on vacation, while there I got a tour of the facility and was invited to watch my dog be assimilated into the pack, it was a great experience! The staff is always so helpful and friendly with any concerns I have. During vacation I loved being able to log onto Facebook and see pictures of him playing with other pups. Post vacation my pup came back to me happy and healthy. We now bring our dog here for day care! When I drop him off the staff kindly recognizes me and my dog - and should I have a reason to call they always answer pleasantly. I love to see the sweet pups they have saved that are up for adoption. Having adopted a rescue pup I am especially thankful that they are a controlled cage less environment. I love that there are indoor and outdoor settings. It's such a good feeling to know that the staff is learning from a trainer, the owner Mike. I feel very comfortable with pup being here for doggy day care and boarding. I am so so thankful that caring owners and staff are out there for my staffy. I so highly recommend the dog district for any of your pups needs, no matter the breed!

I had tons of questions and took notes and the vet didn't gloss over anything she made sure I was able to get my notes. This is my first dog so I wanted to know as much as possible. It was a very positive experience and we are definitely bringing Theo back. There's a parking lot, too! I was told my dog did not need to fast for bloodwork, a bile acid test was administered incorrectly, and several costly tests were run that internal medicine later said were unnecessary and not appropriate for her condition. I also received alarming health messages that were ultimately inaccurate and misinterpreted in the context of her chronic condition. Even a routine nail trim was handled poorly, which further reduced my confidence. The response to concerns was defensive, and the staff interactions did not reflect the fear-free philosophy being promoted. For dogs with chronic conditions requiring coordination with specialists, this may not be the best option.
