Stopped in for lunch on a Friday - it was shortly after they opened but they were very eager to make sure I was fed. So I went in to just pick up some soup, but I didn't know they made it from scapes. Unfortunately, I was in a rush so I had to cancel my order. The place was packed, clearly a Lynnfield lunch spot. Upon canceling my order, the owner was nice enough to give me two slices of pizza on the house for inconvenience. The pizza was delicious. Let me start by saying that this place is awesome! Not only is the owner super nice and clearly gives a crap, they hands down have the best chicken fingers/cutlets in the area. These are the real deal homemade fingers, not frozen from a bag, and they are seasoned and have great flavor. A MUST try for anyone who likes chicken fingers and/or chicken cutlets. In addition the chicken kabob salad is fantastic! The grilled chicken is great! The steak n cheese sub is also great! One of if not the best in the area. Food was great. Got taco Tuesday special with side of beans and quac. Beans were excellent Not refried beans but kidney beans in a sauce with peppers and spice. Best we have had out, Tacos were stuffed, Got an order of 4 chicken 4 beef and we still have 4 left over. Only wish there was an option for flour tortillas rather than corn but would not hesitate to order again. Guac was definitely fresh. Best of all was customer service. I thought I ordered delivery but they had me down for pick up. When I called gentleman on the phone was so nice and whether it was him or not who then delivered they could not have been nicer. So accommodating. I apologized and was told 'mistakes happen, hope you enjoy'. Customer service alone will send me back to try other things. PS Also got a salad for hubby's lunch. HUGE and looks fantastic. Will definitely be ordering one of these in the future. read more

Not sure if the deli has changed hands since the spring but ordered there last night and the food was not good. Our granddaughters Hamburg was like a hockey puck. She could not even bite into it. The chicken noodle soup tasted like someone poured a lot of lemon into it. The pizza was just fair. Will not be returning. Very disappointed. Absolutely disgusting! We ordered an Italian sub and a ham and cheese sub and all of the deli meats were spoiled. I called the next day and the manager basically accused me of lying which I definitely am not. She said they had no other people call about the meats and I told her does it matter if other people call? If one person calls there should be concern! What a fantastic place! Always something good cooking in the kitchen! Try the chicken or eggplant parm sandwich or with pasta. Better yet get chicken parm AND eggplant parm combo, what a dish! Of course they are also famous for their really good chicken salad. Me and a friend drive there from Burlington just to have lunch, we pass so many other good places. Never a bad lunch here! Was looking for a good club sandwich in the Lynnfield/Wakefield area. Found the Countryside Deli online. Walked in and was immediately greeted with smiling, friendly staff behind the counter. Ordered, then paid another friendly staff member who genuinely thanked me for leaving a tip in their basket--a rarity these days it seems. Took the club sandwich home, which came with fries, and was very pleasantly surprised by the size of the sandwich! It was so stuffed with delicious deli turkey, thick, crispy bacon, fresh lettuce and tomato, I had to flatten it down to fit it my mouth! The best turkey club I've had in years, at a very reasonable price, especially considering today's prices, with super-friendly service. I highly recommend the Countryside Deli! read more

Oh my god today was so disappointing. i order for delivery, total was 12 bucks, when the lady delivered it i gave her a 20 she said "i only have 4 dollars on me" i was so confused and was like what..? then she pulled out quarters from her purse and said "i have no coin also" i took the 4 bucks and "coins' .. like what the................ i will never order again. super italian was the SALTY-ist sub i ever ate. couldnt force myself to finish it anymore threw out other half. sad cuz their pizza is bomb. read more

Today I ordered a few soups and an Authentic Italian sandwich w/ Fresh Mozzarella and prosciutto... OMG delicious! Countryside is one of those places where the food and price is OK, and chances are you could've made the same thing at home if you cared. It's like buying bottled water when you could've brought your own 'artesian' water from home, which tastes just as well and is 99.99% cheaper. In fact, I feel this way about most delis. Countryside has OK food like chicken sandwiches, potato salad, etc, nothing fancy. It's like if your grandma made lunch for you. I was excited to try this place as their online menu looked awesome and they were relatively close by. I went around noon but they weren't super busy. No greeting when I came in despite the fact the woman at the counter looked at me several times. I stood there awkwardly for a few minutes and was thinking of leaving when a man asked if I was all set. I gave him my order - an egg salad sub with tomatoes, lettuce and pickles. Simple enough or so I thought. He asked me if I wanted peppers which was weird but I thought maybe they get customers who like peppers with their egg salad, who knows. Got my sub (liked the free bag of mini chips with it) and was on my way. Got home and I had what looks like a spicy meat (pepper bologna, salami) without mayo or anything with a huge piece of lettuce and tomatoes and pickles. Um??? How do you get that out of egg salad sub? I hate spicy meats. I couldn't even eat it. I almost went back but it's such a waste of time and they were so unfriendly to begin with that I didn't want to bother. Certainly would never go there or recommend them again. read more

Best chicken kabob salad I've ever had. Seriously, I don't know what they do with the chicken to make it so flavorful and juicy, but it was really good. Not just chunks or strips of grilled chicken that you get other places. Could've used more "supplemental" veggies (cucumber, green pepper) and maybe an option for kalamata olives. But seriously, the chicken. Amazing. I ordered the corned beef sandwich for my husband and they were great about offering ideas on what else to put on the sandwich, since I don't know the first thing about corned beef sandwiches. There are so few deli's on the Northshore that offer a variety of "sandwiches", not just subs. Looking forward to trying other items. read more

The couple of times we have ordered from here we have been less than impressed. We have tried entrees, sandwiches and pizza. All were below average and the pizza was the worst. Much better off going to the Lynnfield House of pizza where the pizza, chicken kabob or steak tip dinners are awesome. Another place that makes better food is the Centre Court Grill, but the house of pizza has the best staff and food. read more

I have wanted to try this place for some time. However, they have weird hours. I finally was able to try it. The service was poor. I wasn't a regular and I was ignored. They took customers orders that were standing behind me! Then as I waited for my order to be complete they made me wait while they tended to their regulars. Food was unimpressive. I would not go back. You can get the same food at Lynnfield House or Centre Court. For excellent fresh food go to Christine's cafe. read more

Great little place! Food is fresh and delish. Nice variety of sandwich breads. They also do 1/2 sandwiches for certain items. Pizza is well made - Italian style with thin, flexible, chewy crust. Best item is their chicken salad! I've had their steak and cheese, tuna melt, rice balls...I've had lots. Our office orders from them several times a week.
