I ordered the fan favorite Turkey Apple Cheddar ($12 plus tax) making it Fat Larry-Double Meat (add $2) which was made to order promptly and wrapped to go. The sandwich had plenty of deli sliced roast turkey, cheddar cheese, romaine lettuce, apples, mayo, & an onion fig jam between toasted marble rye (my choice of bread). This sandwich was amazing and I will have to also try out their other sandwiches on my next visits to Fat Larry's.

After getting it, we split the sub and ate it in the car. Let me tell you that this was not the same steak tip I remembered. It was so bad, we tossed it in the garbage at the gas station next door. The steak was very tough and hard to chew - almost like the tips had been cooked earlier and then reheated for my order. Everything just seemed greasy. We also did not enjoy the raspberry turnover or yellow cream cannoli's we got for dessert. Maybe it was us or maybe it was the food but I will never go there again. We are not food snobs by any stretch of the imagination, and I rarely will say anything bad about a restaurant experience but we ended up going to Augusta's which is just a little bit down the road, for chicken just to erase this experience from our mouths. He gave me my receipt, proving I ordered, admitted he couldn't fulfill it and when I showed him his website saying there was no option to cancel he kept shrugging. They are clearly trained to take your order, then your payment, then go off to a little niche far away and make the sub exactly as they want to. If you want extra mayo, or no pickles, or any other adjustment, you are stuck. But, this time, after my last experience, I leaned over the counter and tried to keep my eyes on him and, sure enough, I spotted him start to put pickles and other veggies on it without asking me anything. I called out to him and told him I how I wanted it made and he did so but it was a nuisance. The sub was good again but I don't recommend anyone buy one at this place unless you're happy with the shop deciding exactly how they make your sub. If you want a choice however, virtually every other sub shop in the region will ask you first and give you a chance to tell them how to finish the sub.

' Now there are a few Tripoli locations thru out MA but out of the other 2 I've been too this one is THE BEST!! It hasn't tasted the same @ the other locations. One is in Salisbury & I can't remember the other town I grabbed some from as it was a couple of years ago. If you want extra cheese & prefer "shredded mozzarella" make sure to specify that because one time I asked for extra cheese & the cook put round slices of mozzarella on my slices. I was already in my car & had driven off when I noticed this. It had never happened to me before so after that when I ask for extra cheese I specify the shredded. Their pizza sauce has a light sweet taste to it that I think makes the pizza taste the way that it does. I usually get extra cheese slices & extra cheese with pepperoni slices. They use to have a big plastic container in the corner on their counter where you can sit to eat your pizza that took donations of soda can tabs for Shriner's. I've been saving them for years for other friend's but that stopped due to one moving away & one passing away and its such a habit when I drink something with a tab on it I'm taking it off and saving it. I went in yesterday with a big zip lock baggie full of tabs to donate them & that jar wasn't on the counter!! Yikes!! So I asked the guy behind the pizza counter & he told me that they still take them but he didn't tell me the reason why they don't have the plastic container on the container for them anymore. Just be aware of their hours as I believe that they are closed on Monday's & they don't share the same store hours as the bakery. Also there are NO bathrooms in here & they don't serve drinks but there is a soda vending machine that you can buy drinks from. Also this place isn't good for big groups to dine in as their seating area isn't very big. You MUST stop by here & check them out!!

The parking lot is a good size and if I remember correctly, the lot is locked up when the business is closed. The bakery has so much to offer. Fresh baked breads in the morning, pizza strips and other 'bread' foods. Cookies, lots of cakes, pastries of all sorts. Definitely find something you like. We visited during the holiday and there were so many holiday sweet treats. Trays and trays. I took home some cannoli, a sfogliatelle, and cookies. The cannoli were tasty and fresh. We enjoyed these. The sfogliatelle did not seem fresh - the pastry was hard and no longer flaky and the cream inside was dried out. Won't try that one again soon. Too bad really, I do like this pastry when fresh. The cookies were just OK for me. I do a lot of baking and these did not taste fresh made. I understand bakeries have a thin profit margin and you are always having to guess what will sell. No disrespect to the business. They offer a wide variety of cakes and sweets and I only tried a small sampling. I love these old neighborhood businesses that have been around 'forever'. We know people who stop here about once a month and rave about them. I'll try them again and keep my fingers crossed.

This casual…read morepizzeria offers a variety of traditional and specialty pizzas (12" & 16") - similar to Pini's, pizza calzones, grinders, wraps, pasta, salads, teriyaki bowls, dinners (steak tips, chicken, fried seafood), appetizers, bagged chips, and cold drinks. The place offers order at the pickup counter, online ordering, third party delivery and there are a few hard booths for eating in. I ordered the Danny's Supreme 12" Pizza ($16.99 plus tax) for takeout at the counter, which was ready in about 12 minutes after ordering. The thin crust Italian style pizza was topped with peppers, onions, mushrooms, olives, hamburg bits, sliced sausage, red sauce and browned melted cheese. There were plenty of toppings in each bite with a thin firm crust, crisp and slightly chewy on the edge. This place was very busy when I was here and my order was ready fairly quickly. I would stop by again for takeout if I'm in the area. I will note that the printed menu prices need to be updated with the store online pricing, which is slightly higher on some items. The third party delivery app prices are at least 15-20 percent higher than the in-store and store online ordering system pricing.

ROASTED RED PEPPERONI PIZZA- another reviewer noted that Danny's is in the old Pini's location, and I could definitely pick up the Pini's DNA; the RRP pizza was one of my standbys for many orders from the Somerville Pini's, many many MANY moons ago. As to the quality: it's a pretty dang good crust, on the scale of suburban New England pizza crusts, with good chew, some crispiness, and a nice flavor. My wife is extra particular about her crust and she ranked it above Sal's, our previous pizza crust benchmark. THAT SAID: Danny, dude... dial it back a bit on the cheese, okay? This thing was unnecessarily greasy, and it detracted somewhat from what was otherwise a pretty good pizza experience. I anticipate pretty soggy leftovers, which, I mean, I'll eat, but... a little less cheese and grease could take this pie to another level. BUFFALO CHICKEN SALAD- I didn't have any but my wife said it was good, with crispy tenders and fresh veggies. STEAK OF THE GODS SUB- despite the promising name, this was the weak point of the order, more like a steak for a minor demigod or perhaps an archangel or other divine servant. Thoughtfully packed and not too greasy/soggy, a common problem with delivery steak subs, but woefully underseasoned. Salt-N-Pepa are more than just a 90s hip hop group, they're a quick service cook's best friends. Learn to love 'em, Danny! Overall, it was a solid effort, and we'll definitely check out some of the rest of their menu in the future.
