He charges a fair hourly rate and has always correctly diagnosed and performed repairs correctly and within a reasonable time frame. I recently called for a home mesh network install. Writing this review for my other half who's been having laptop issues for quite a while before he found Peter's PC Repair. The battery on his laptop was broken so he wasn't able to use his computer without plugging the power cord, which meant we needed to be near an outlet at all times. There were times where we would go to a cafe with his laptop to get some work done, but wouldn't be able to use it because there were no outlets or they were all being used. This was quite frustrating for me to watch so I can't even imagine how hard it was for him. Before coming to Peter's repair shop, we even tried to replace the battery at home but after 1 use, the battery died again. After seeing all the great reviews, he finally brought it in to Peter and got it fixed! It was picked up Monday and so far, so good!! He tells me how happy he is with his now working laptop. In fact, we stopped by a cafe yesterday and it was such a relief to see him use his laptop without having to look for an outlet! Always told myself I would write a review after my experience but never got around to it, until now. I'm horrible, I know. Anyways! A couple months ago I tried to turn on my 2018 MacBook but it simply wouldn't turn on. Tried to charge it because I thought the battery was out but no luck. I spent all morning trying different things trying to turn on my laptop but then again, nothing. In a panic I went on Yelp trying to look for a repair shop for they could assess the issue. Luckily, Peters PC repair shop was less than 10 minutes from my house with 5 star reviews, I was excited! I emailed them about my issue and received a response that same day to set an appointment for drop off. Drop off was easy! They kept my laptop for a couple of days but they knew exactly what was wrong with it. They had to order the parts and install. Prices are reasonable. Overall, my experience 10/10. I am an idiot and spilled water on my work laptop keyboard. I was nearly having a panic attack when I realized several of my keys were no longer registering. Quick google search and I found Peter's PC repair and submitted a request via contact form. I was contacted quickly and was told I could bring my laptop in same day, but I had a meeting so scheduled another time. Dropped off my laptop (needed a new part), approved the quote, and a week later I had my laptop and it's good as new! My laptop within a year of starting to use it developed a screen flicker where you had to move the screen back and forth to get it to clear up. I finally decided to have it fixed and picked this place based on good Yelp reviews and easy to get to location. Dropped it off, mentioned it was probably in need of cleaning. He said he'd also give the browser/operating system a once over. After two weeks I called to find out what was happening. He explained getting the right part had been a challenge (not a surprise given it is over 10 years old) but he thought he had found one that was compatible and would try installing in the next day or so. Next day he called with good news: it fit! I made an appointment for the next afternoon. This bonus is they are right above my favorite Indian restaurant so I had a delicious lunch before going up for it. Entrance has a directory and after pressing his code he buzzes you into the building. The elevator is cramped and jolts when it stops. He let me see the computer working, to verify the repair, and told me about the updates he installed (latest Firefox and Windows 7). Cost was only $100, very reasonable for computer repair. Laptop now works splendidly and I will definitely come back for my computer repair needs. read more

I contacted them for a laptop repair. Me, being the dummy that I was, ripped out the wifi card connector when trying to pry open my laptop. I thought I was in the clear, turns out I wasn't. I reached out, sent them photos, and they got back to me to let me know that it wasn't going to be a possible repair. They didn't make me bring it in first, or pay for the quick consultation. Made an appointment this morning at 10:30 am and came in to ask about my desktop not working properly. Peter looked over my PC quickly after hearing my problems with it and could pretty much guess the problem was my graphics card. He tests the gpu out and finds that it's not working for him either so he tested a different gpu in my computer and worked like a charm. Peter was swift and clearly knowledgeable in computers. Even with the bombardment of questions I asked him, he very patiently responded to each one with detail and attention. Very affordable, respectful, and helpful. Even though my name is Peter, I'm NOT going to be unbiased in this review...at least as much as I can :) These guys deserve the unanimous 5 star ratings that people give them. I bought a Dell PC a year ago that's been nothing but problems -- it would blue screen constantly, and starting and rebooting the system did nothing for me. I sent it back to Dell twice and they sent it back "fixed" -- but the problem kept coming back. I finally gave up trying myself to fix it through YouTube videos, and searched this place up on Yelp. Called to make an appointment. Owen saw me and after I described the problem a bit, he sent me on my way. We communicated via text for a few days (remember to reset your passwords!) and then he told me he had found the problem. The logicboard needed fixing. That's something I never would have found myself. They took the further step though -- and Peter called Dell himself to send it back in. It's not fun dealing with those guys, so I'm so grateful he did that. And now I have a laptop that's fixed again! When my early 2015 MacBook - well beyond Apple Care - started to give me trouble, I found Peter's stellar reviews and made an appointment to bring it in. Peter rocked it out. My laptop harddrive crashed and Dell told me that my files were unrecoverable. I bought a new harddrive and their install support service over the phone for about $230. They told me it would take 10-12 days to arrive. I couldn't wait that long, so the next day I searched Yelp and found Peter's PC Shop and the awesome reviews. To sum it up, I dropped my laptop off on Friday (Peter was awesome to give me several scenarios of what could happen) and it was ready 2 business days later (Tuesday). He recovered virtually all of my files, replaced my harddrive, and setup my operating system. It looked and performed like new! The file recovery was $180 and harddrive was $70 for a total of $250. It was definitely worth it as I had tens of thousands of dollars worth of information potentially lost. As for Dell, I called to get a refund on my order. read more
