My plate the server portioned for me.

My husband and I love Peter Lugar's Steakhouse in New York. We travel there annually for dinner. This was the next best thing, especially without having to pay for a plane ticket. Everything was incredible but the top things I would like to note on would be the sauce, the bread service, the bisque, the bratwurst, and the bacon. Incredible date night trip!

I had the ribs with beans and collard greens. Everything was really good. The ribs were moist despite a thick bark on the outside. Served with pickled onions, pickles and jalapeños. The beans were outstanding. This is a great place to go to grab a few beers and solid food with buddies after a long day on the water.

The food was amazing, so much so that even my wife are the naked brand because they were so good and usually she doesn't care much for them. I was disappointed that they don't bring you water when you sit unless you ask for it so that kind of stopped me from giving 5 stars. Also the fryer wasn't working so when they brought our food we didn't get to try their fries or fried cheese curds. However I would so then to take is back their on another visit so hopefully we will get to try them then. Atmosphere is nice with plenty of seating and they have a chalkboard with their live music appearances. I'm not a big country music fan but if you are, you probably want to visit this place sometime. Especially since their food is great.

A Meal So Good Heaven Might Ask About It…read more Some dinners fill you up. Some dinners impress you. And then there are dinners like the one we had at Chef's Table in Stuart--the kind of meal that feels like it was designed by someone who understands that food is more than nourishment... it's memory. We went to celebrate my son's birthday, and before the first bite even arrived, the experience had already begun. The menus were printed with "Happy Birthday" and his name, a small but thoughtful touch that set the tone for the entire evening. It felt personal, intentional--like the night had been prepared just for him. And then the food arrived. I ordered the Bolognese, and I'm not exaggerating when I say it was the kind of dish you quietly pause for after the first bite. Rich, layered, perfectly balanced--every strand of pasta coated in a sauce that tasted like it had been simmering since the Renaissance. Comforting but refined. Rustic but elegant. It was the sort of plate where conversation stops for a moment because everyone is too busy appreciating what's happening. Across the table, the beef Wellington was a masterpiece. Perfectly pink at the center, wrapped in golden pastry that shattered delicately with each cut, surrounded by a sauce so good it deserved its own applause. The entire meal felt like one of those rare experiences where craft, hospitality, and atmosphere align perfectly. The lighting, the pacing of the courses, the warmth of the service--it all made the night feel like something special was unfolding. If someone told me this would be my last meal on Earth, I wouldn't complain. In fact, I'd probably smile knowing that when I got to the gates, the angels might lean over and ask: "Wait... was it really as good as they say?" And I'd tell them the truth. Yes. It absolutely was. Thank you to the team at Chef's Table for giving my son a birthday dinner we'll remember for the rest of our lives.

On the first visit, we shared a corn salad, which was warm and delicious. We each got a half portion of pasta 1. cavatelli Cacio e Pepe was delightful. 2. Cordoncini w/ shrimp was tasty and inventive. We each ended with a dessert. My dining companion had a scoop of pistachio which she liked. The only less-than-stellar option was the tiramisu. Being from the northeast, I have had tiramisu more times than I can count at various Italian restaurants and this one just didn't do it for me. It felt like it was prepared at least a day in advance, and there was some sort of liquid at the bottom that made it un appealing. But, it did not stop me from wanting to return. I went back 6 days later for another wonderful meal!

We left with a couple of bottles that were featured. We had a lobster pasta dish to start followed by a salad. The main entree was a salmon with special house made sauce that was excellent. Lorna was very knowledgeable with the food and wine and elaborated on every course. We never knew this place was there but we will be back!
