The assortment of vegetables is first and foremost the best I have ever seen. Wow. It's beautiful. Their assortment of most of the food products they sell is just amazing and fantastic. The service is top tier with everyone wanting to help you. And it's comparable and somewhat cheaper than Mariano's. It's fantastic for ethnic and non ethnic groups alike. Beautiful store. First time going, the cashier who I think was the manager was rude, didn't greet me or say have a nice day. They also didn't have what I needed anyway but the one in Orland did which has great customer service. Based on other reviews, this location is off to a bad start. Will stick to the Matteson and Orland locations. read more

This was my first time shopping at Pete's in Tinley Park. Pete's has wonderful fruits and vegetables, and I find that the prices are way cheaper than Jewel's on produce. However, I don't care for how their produce aisle is organized. I found it difficult to find the items I needed. I also noticed that they need to take better care of the plants at the entrance of the store. Pete's is located next door to Sam's Club and adjacent to Chick-fil-A, which makes it very convenient to make multiple shopping trips without driving far. The parking lot was accommodating. The service was good and very helpful. Staff were patient and friendly. I like the sales app I downloaded, which had a variety of good coupons. What a nice addition to Tinley Park's list of grocery stores. We have shopped at the Pete's in Bridgeview, Orland Park, and Matteson ... and could not wait for this one to open. We dared to go on Opening Day and we were glad we did ... it was a beautiful sunny day and there was a line, but it was worth the wait. If you like Pete's stores, you are going to like this one. Since it was opening day, the staffing and number of employees working every part of the business was impressive. There was an employee in almost every single aisle to answer questions or head you off in the right direction. Every cash register was being used, and each checkout line had a bagger to speed things along. Besides staff helping all through the store, management was all around to keep everything in top form. The store layout is great, but different from that of Orland Park. The Orland Park facility is pretty much square, with the aisles being almost as deep as the width of the storefront. Here in Tinley the storefront facing Harlem Avenue seems to be twice as long, and the aisles inside are a bit shorter and more numerous. The Tinley Park building is one of the first where Pete's built the layout to their specifications, instead of taking over an older big box building and repurposing it to fit their needs. As usual, when you come in the first thing you'll be greeted by is the huge section devoted to all the fresh fruit and vegetables (FFV); this seems to be a hallmark of the Pete's Fresh stores. All the meat and dairy products line the back wall, leading to all the freshly prepared foods ... dozens of serve yourself items where you can put together lunch and/or dinner to go. And of course in the center mass of the store are numerous aisles with all the standard stuff. Once again ... if you like the Pete's Fresh concept, you are going to love the new Pete's Market in Tinley Park. Recommended. read more

Staff was not friendly, at all (excluding deli counter and cashiers). I observed and heard a manager say to a customer "you are in my way". The manager indicated it was a joke...not sure how any customer could find humor in an abrasive remark. This was my first and last shopping experience at the Tinley Park store. read more

Produce is top notch. Groceries a bit pricey , but large variety. Cashiers are indifferent and staff not friendly, they just do their jobs and seem to hope you don't bother them. read more

0/5 - Extremely Disappointed with Customer Service I rarely leave reviews, but my experience at Pete's in Tinley Park was frustrating enough to warrant one. The checkout process was painfully slow -- not because of a long line, but because the employees seemed more interested in chatting and inspecting every single item than actually doing their job efficiently. There's a time and place for friendly conversation, but when customers are waiting and trying to get to work or manage their schedules, speed and professionalism should be the priority. Unfortunately, that was completely lacking. The employees showed no urgency, and the lack of awareness for those waiting in line was unacceptable. Customer service should be about respect and efficiency. This visit felt like the opposite. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and improves the checkout experience -- because right now, it's the worst I've encountered. read more

First visit to Tinley Park store 2/16. Got home and was missing an item I paid for. Went back to my car to check if it had somehow fallen out the bag and I didn't notice. It was not there. Called store and gave all info asked of me and was told manager gone for the day but will be calling the next day. 2 days later no call back. I called again and was transferred to the lady I spoke with previously and she said manager has to review the camera and would call me back. 2 days later still no call back. I called again and spoke to someone in customer service that put me on hold after I explained what happened. She comes back and says " I will get a call back today", It's 8:30 pm and no one has called. Now I feel like I'm getting the runaround. I've since purchased the item elsewhere and will make sure friends & family know about my experience at the Tinley Park store. Never again will I spend my money there and won't waste any more time calling again. Bad customer service. read more
