Food was pretty decent, with all the reviews on how affordable the food is I expected my bill to be cheaper. Chicken strips and cheese curds were almost $20. I called to put a to go order in and they were really rude. A local neighborhood bar that rises above the rest. The bar is normal, the food is good, but not outstanding. It is the friendly attitude that makes it. The staff is somewhat intentionally teasing and maybe rude, but it comes across in a good way. Instructions on how ordering works are on the table and menus are on the wall. The current beer list is on a tv in the middle of the bar. Knowing those two things, you can fit in enough and laugh off anything that comes your way. The beer selection is limited, but the beers are good. The spotted cow is an excellent choice, a Wisconsin local. Pretty much everything is fried and that's ok here...it fits. Great food, lots of big TVs, a selection of craft beers and crazy low prices. I had the double burger with cheddar and bacon with a side of fries. My wife had the grilled chicken with bacon. Pints of craft beer for $3.50. They had a hazy ipa that was good. The food is cooked on a tiny grill behind the bar, but they are amazingly efficient. If you sit at one of the tables instead of at the bar, you need to go up to the bar to order. read more

What a great little place. The service was fast, yes you order at the bar. Drinks are cheap and food is also and all was good. We started with the cheesecurds and WOW these were good. The best in a while, but there are alot. We shared a double cheeseburger and fries which is good with all the curds. The fries were also good but the burger was just ok. Didn't have much flavoring, needed some spice, even salt and pepper would of helped. But we got all that food a beer and soda and it was $20 on the head, not bad. Stopped in for lunch on a Saturday on our way up to Point and I'm really glad we did. We started with the clam strips and they were just ok. The flavor was good but there were way too many really small ones and not many big pieces. The road rage and the double hubcap were both fantastic. Stopped again while waiting for my daughter's cheer competition. Decided to order the Leather Interior (prime rib) sandwich rather than the burger based on other's reviews. Holy smokes! It did NOT disappoint! The sandwich was the size of my head! The meat was incredibly tender and the flavor was outstanding. And, when they ask if you want mushrooms and onions say YES!!! My husband gave the Steering Wheel (grilled chicken wrap) a try. Chicken was tender and the Cajun flavor had just the right amount of kick. Trash service. I get the a-hole comedy thing that places sometimes use but this ain't it. Total lack of anything indicating that these people don't totally hate their lives and what they do--as well as their customers. Ambiance less than or equal to that of the inside of a dumpster. They act like it's their shtick and take pride in it, but to any sensible person it's just the worst types of people to own a restaurant. What a gem! From the outside you're not quite sure what to expect but walk through those doors and discover a great neighborhood bar with a small and absolutely delicious menu. Do it! As other reviews note- you really need to start with the curds. They look standard but there is something special about them...a cheesy goodness with a slightly buttery taste and a delicious dipping sauce. My guy and I both had burgers which were perfectly cooked to temp; moist/juicy on the inside and a fantastic sear on the outside. The garlic fries were good- not overpowering at all and a nice option. I can't wait to pass through again. Next time we'll be trying the Prime Rib Sammy. First of all if you are easily offended either grow up or don't go! This place was a blast. Harsh humor, they teach you how to order properly for their place, and it is their place! We had the tailpipe (Cajun chicken sand) and the double gas cap. Both were great flavor and applause to the the cook. Small grill but he was rocking the orders out. If this joint was in Chicago, I would be fat, but still happy. Too much affordable deliciousness to be had here! 4 people in my party ate 2 single 1/3 lb patty cheddar burgers, 2 double patty cheddar burgers, giant basket of garlic fries and giant basket of cheese curds and drank 4 16 oz glsses of specialty beers on tap for $40 after tax. Whaaa? We were stuffed beyond belief and still had half basket of fried cheese curds and half basket of french fries leftover that we had to unfortunately leave behind since we're from out of town. Everything was so, so good! The burger meat was well seasoned, thicccc, and juicy. The bun was practically a brioche like bun that was soft and fragrant. My only complaint here is no lettuce and tomato was provided. The garlic fries were crisp and had a hint of garlic flavor (not overly garlicky). My fave was the fried Wisconsin cheese curds. The chef, Ryan, was super nice to us and called our name when our food was ready (no coaster chucked at us X-D. Next time, I come to town, this is a must stop-by place. read more

I'm tempted to give 3 stars because the owner seems to enjoy 1 star reviews, but I can't tell a lie. Went in at lunch time. The guy behind the bar saw us and walked to the other end of the bar. I moved to the middle of the bar. He came down toward me and continued to ignore us. I asked if we could grab a table, he said sure. I asked if we should order at the bar. He said, "you're gonna have to since there isn't table service." I say ok, no problem. He asks what we want to drink. I say we'll check the menu first. He says we have to order drinks first. I open the menu. "Gotta order drinks before you sit down." I close the menu and let him know we'll be leaving without ordering. It seemed pretty clear that only regulars were welcome in the joint. Either the owner is independently wealthy or they serve LOTS of drinks to 10-12 regulars. There are enough other places to go to. No reason to deal with this kind of nonsense.
