We hired them during Covid for rats that had gotten into our crawl space. They did an initial inspection but then couldn't come back for another so when we had dead rats, we had to leave them. We had great service for the first year or two, but then it was a gradual irritation on their end every time we called about a box that wasnt filled with bait or seeing rats. I am loyal but the last time we called, they were so abrupt and unpleasant after 5+ years that we cancelled our service and went with a new one. I wish they would have listened to our concerns and came up with solutions. We would have paid for additional service if there was a solution. instead, we paid to have our space cleaned and sealed and traps filled (mostly) and still had rats out in the open. I would have sent this feedback directly to Banish, as I don't want to hurt a local business, but they were so unpleasant on the phone and in person picking up the boxes that Im posting here. read more

This was my first time ever needing this type of service. I would always set out my own store bought bait for ants but this year it was really bad. Different varieties coming through the kitchen, dining, and eventually the children's bedroom. That's when I had to get a professional. Fantastic all around. I first requested a quote which I got within 24 hours. I called to schedule an appointment and received friendly service and an appointment two days later. The appointment was quick and he explained everything along the way, pausing a few times to ask if I had questions. They were back again today for my second service and - same thing. Relatively happy at first with service, we have been using their quarterly bait upkeep service for ongoing rat prevention in our crawl space. However, when we discovered clear evidence of rodent activity in the crawlspace, we didn't feel they took it seriously. They threw a few pieces of bait in our crawlspace and said they were not chewed on, basically dismissing us. They didn't even go into the space. When we reached out to another company, they indicated some issues with the preventative handling approach that has been taken thus far, and took a much more active approach to the current issue that we are happier with. Overall, just not very happy with paying for preventative service all this time only for a lackadaisical approach once we experience another infestation....that we thought we were preventing in the first place. read more

I contacted Banish for a quote regarding some ant problems in my home. Micheal emailed me a quote along with the products he uses to treat ants, and instructions on how to prep your home prior to his visit. Micheal then phoned me within the hour to see if I had any questions. Scheduling was easy and Micheal was able to come out within a few days. I was reluctant about spraying inside the home due to the overspray. Let's face it, who wants insecticide overspray all over their home? Micheal assured me that wouldn't happen as he uses a straw like tool which prevents overspray. That tool he uses to spray the inside of the home alone is a selling point for me to hire him! The day of the treatment Micheal arrived within the hour we agreed upon. He was friendly, armed with information, and very respectable of my home as he removed his shoes prior to coming inside the home. He did warn me that odorous house ants can be tricky to get rid off and it may or may not require multiple treatments, depending if we get the queen ant the first round. His treatment carries a 90-day warranty with two additional treatments (30 days apart) if needed, which is a relief to know. He found additional areas where the ants were active and treated them (included). NO UPSELLING, no push for monthly service, just polite no nonsense excellent service. Michael came all the way down to Silverton, OR, where he has a lot of customers, apparently. I can understand why, because he was extremely polite, very informative, and we have not had any more ants in over a year. And when I had him come back for an annual treatment, he said it wasn't really necessary since I hadn't seen any new ants. He could have just as easily charged me another $200 for treating the house, but said it wasn't necessarily. He also let us know how to get rid of some other bugs ourselves free of charge. Micheal came out today to take care of our post construction spider problem. We will definitely use him in the future and I would hands down recommend him!! I initially called him in a panic about swarming termites. I told him what I was seeing, and he assured me this wasn't a problem and that they'd move on soon. They did. 100% recommend! I called over a weekend when we found termites doing some remodeling and Michael got back to me Monday morning. He came out promptly on Tuesday and quickly assessed our situation. We were super frustrated by having to constantly keep the kitchen and house immaculate even while cooking. No matter how perfectly clean we were and how many ant traps we set out and how much borax and syrup we made, we couldn't stop the constant trickle of year round sugar ants. I've reviewed Banish Pest Control 9 months ago. Want to report back that we've had them come do quarterly ant service and we've added rodent service due to signs in the garage. Rodent service was at my asking, not theirs. No sugar ants have returned to the kitchen or elsewhere in the home. What a miracle. I always get a timely text the day prior, Chad always arrives on time and explains things thoroughly and answers questions any time I ask. He showed up on time, was personable ane appreciative of our preparation, thanked us for supporting his small local business, answered our questions and sprayed inside and out for sugar ants.
