Large pie

Being raised in Columbus, I've been going to Pete's pizza most of my life. I gotta say it tastes exactly the same since I was a young kid. Amazing pizza!

Thicker yet light crust but nice & crispy on the bottom; light on the cheese and heavy on the tomato aka Trenton style. We went to Pete's Pizza tonight & picked up a large pie. This is a simple yet perfectly made pizza. Absolutely delicious!

So good!

I got this recommendation from my cousin who swears by this place. I honestly didn't have high expectations because sometimes these type of places in the suburbs don't live up. This one however lived up to all expectations! They make one type of pizza and they make it well. I love the fact that it is heavy on the tomato sauce! They have a unique style of pizza in the area called tomato pie. It is served with the cheese on the crust and the tomato sauce on top. I am a huge fan of it and they have perfected it here. The crust is also not too thick but holds up well to the sauce. The sauce is on the sweeter side but it is addicting. So awesome. I would highly recommend and I put up there with some of the best in NJ. Make the trip to come here!

Regular Slice ($2.25)

A 5 star rating for pizza is hard to come by in my book but this place is exceptional. Their pizza is just different, GREAT sauce, not too much cheese and a very light, crispy crust. It is what I'd call Sicilian style but it's not that thick, heavy taste. It's located right next to the Amish Market at Columbus Farmer's Market. No frills, but one of the best pizza places I've ever been to in NJ. It's also cheap, $2.25/slice. Check it out!

I've had this pizza before and it's always been great. It's similar to the famous legendary L&B in Brooklyn. However, tonight it was a disappointment. The cheese under the sauce wasn't melted. The crust tasted undercooked and soggy. The sauce was overpowered with parmigiana cheese. Perhaps it was because we picked up a pie around closing time (8PM) but next time we have a craving for this style of pizza we are going to the place on the other side of the Columbus market.

Extremely rude. Pizza has changed so much. Like the recipe has changed. Going there for ages and it is time to stop and try elsewhere!

Now before I say what I'm about to say, let me tell you that I was born and raised in Brooklyn. I know what NY style pizza is NY style pizza has two things 1. Thin crust. Not paper thin like Pizza Hut thin crust 2 The bottom is crispy so that when you fold it, it should crack This pizza meets those requirements It has a restaurant side and a pizzeria side. I've only been to the pizzeria side and it's clean with enough table seating. Plus there's outdoor seating if the weather is nice. It's in a beautiful area. I'm thinking about taking my family here one night. So stay tuned

I was not disappointed. The sauce was amazing. Although the plain slice was very satisfying, it left my taste buds wanting more. Before I could order the very courteous owner stopped at my table to ask how I liked the pizza. Then, he asked me if I was going to have another slice. After I said yes, he said I have a slice I think you're going to like and it's on me. He brought me a slice that he referred to as Trenton pizza. Needless to say, it exceeded my expectations. And yes, better than the very good plain slice. I am pleased to say I have found another outstanding restaurant/pizza place with adjacent dining room located in Columbus, NJ. Do yourself a favor and try this place. You won't be disappointed.
