I have loved this place since I was a little girl. My dad would always take me to the market and we would stop in and have a slice. Of course my deceased grandfather once suppplied their tomato sauce so perhaps that's why my dad went there however it's not the reason I love their pie. It's not your ordinary thin crust pizza. It's different but in a very good way. It is one of my favorite things to eat when in the area. What the last reviewer doesn't know is that there is lots of cheese on it however there is also lots of sauce. The sauce is always on top and that's what makes it different. Kind of like a backwards pizza. Just thinking of it makes my mouth water. It's very thick, like a sicilian, and simply delicious. I recommend everyone try it. It is to die for. read more

Pete's has a phenomenal slice. It's a fantastic sauce and the lines are worth waiting in if you want a quality slice. Service can be hit or miss but I usually attribute that to how long the line is at the moment and how the customers are acting. The only reason Pete's gets a 4 stars instead of 5, is that it is the 2nd best pizza in the Farmer's Market. Pete's Pizza is truly a diamond in the rough. It's nestled in an indoor farmers market in the MiddleOfNowhere, NJ. Pete's makes the most appetizing 'tomato pies' in NJ. It's a far cry in comparison to authentic Italian thin crust pizza but it hits the spot when you're in the mood for it. Their main attraction is their Sicilian pizza, don't bother getting the round pizza, it doesn't have the same effect. Although the cheese on their pizza is almost non existent, it's compensated by the exceptionally seasoned tomato sauce. The crust is somewhat soft but it's sufficient. The drinks are super small so you'll have to order two sizes up. As for seating, it's a single u-shaped bar counter and more likely than not you'll be sitting next to a stranger. If you're not from the south jersey area you might feel a bit out of place. But nonetheless, it's worth the drive. There's also a huge outdoor market with tons of vendors adjacent to the the indoor market. It's open on Thurs. Sat and Sun. so I suggest going on those days just to make the most of your time. read more

She does a fine job and if you are at the counter looking for happy happy joy joy conversation maybe you should go to a diner. She always gives me my order in a timely manner or tells me when it will be ready and is usually right on. Beware though on days the outside market is running(nice weather permitting) it will be crowded and very busy. My family and I have been eating this pizza for (I hate to admit it) decades! We love it - the taste and texture can't be beat! Like the other review said - don't bother with the round pizza. I like it plain with just a touch of garlic powder while my brother has to add some red pepper flakes. Plain is just plain delicious. While this is in a u-shaped counter, there are also very long picnic tables inside right next to it, for a family to be able to sit and enjoy their pizza. Without a doubt the best pizza in the tri-state area if not in the nation. Consistent, inexpensive and DELICIOUS. Remember, this establishment is in a "Farmers/Flea Market" and they serve a LOT of people daily. You're not going to get Michelin 5 star service. In the Columbus farmer's market. Had a plain slice of "Sicilian" style pizza which was a little more than an inch thick. Outer layer of the of the dough was perfectly crisp. Dough was delish. Sauce is placed on top of the cheese here, and there is too much sauce over too little cheese. Sicilian is the only style they serve here. A full pie is $18.00 Pie was ok, but nothing special. Best pizza in the area! I've lived in the area for several years and only very recently discovered this place. It's inside the main building of Columbus flea market in the corner and is a very unassuming stand. The pizza is Sicilian style but kind of like a Margherita top. The sauce and the crust is out of this world. They serve both full pies and single slices. For this style, it's #1. Well both my sister and sister in law pushed me to try a slice and I did. I'm telling you this pizza is magic!!!! I am in love with it!!! I've always said this is the best pizza I've ever tasted and I've been eating here since I was a little girl. Lately their pizza hasn't been the same. The last 4 times I've gotten the Sicilian pizza/pie it lacked on the sauce and cheese, very dry, not the great tasting pie I'm use to. I don't know if their trying to cut back on ingredients to save money but I can tell the difference. I'm very disappointed because like I said before I've been eating this pizza since I was about 7. I even asked for extra sauce on my pizza, hoping it wouldn't be dry this time, because the sauce is the money maker, but again dry as toilet tissue.
