So I never even knew this place existed! A friend of mine picked it and it did not disappoint!!!! The service was great! Wendy was very pleasant, welcoming and attentive! The vibe is definitely a "welcome home", "come in and take a load off" type! The food was great!!! Let me tell you, I don't eat grits outside of my house but their grits were AMAZING!!!!!! This was my first visit but I can guarantee it won't be my last!

This was a better experience for my husband than for me. Service was good and friendly. Although it did take a while for us to receive our food. And quite a while for us to get our check, as the waitress was involved with a long conversation with some folks a few tables over from us and it was hard to get her attention. We came for lunch as we were going to a couple other stores in this plaza. We've been here many times over the years as it was a place my mom used to come with her friends; however, we hadn't been here recently. Breakfast is served all day and is really what I should have ordered. But I'd eaten a big breakfast and was craving a more lunch-like meal. I had their chicken Caesar wrap without the croutons. The sandwich was okay with pieces of white meat chicken, lettuce, and dressing. When I picked it up, it fell apart on the plate. I didn't mind, as I got to choose what of the mix I wanted to eat. The well-done crinkle cut fries were okay as well. It wasn't that it was bad, just that it wasn't anything special. I think I just ordered wrong. My husband's country breakfast had eggs, biscuits, and gravy. He liked his meal. I tried their gravy as it's usually one of my weaknesses, but didn't care for it. In any case, I would still order a breakfast for lunch next time we come. Prices are very reasonable here. You order and eat at your table, but you pay up front at the cashier as you leave. They also have a number of cakes, cookies, and muffins from which to choose on the way out. We brought home a slice of red velvet cake which was quite good and less expensive than what you'd pay for a slice anywhere -- including the Publix a couple doors down. It tasted homemade with its sweet cream cheese frosting. As it's a convenient stop when nearby, I'm sure we will be here again.

This place has been around for over 32 years. A steadfast anchor of the Riverbridge plaza. Billed as the "Happy Place", it has a large of breakfast items, combos and sandwiches. The food is good and the servers are pleasant and helpful. I enjoyed my Country Special, which had 2 eggs, biscuit and sausage gravy and a side of home fries. They tempt you with some enticing and delicious pastries as you wait to pay. Most patrons left (including us) with their sweet treats in hand.

Arrived and seated at 11:40am Table next to where I was seated had customers seated at 12:05pm and waited on before me! I said something to the server and she said I'll be there shortly. Didn't wait around for her to get "there"!

So excited to try petes place wish we had found it sooner! Everything delicious I was dying to try the keylime stuffed French toast but thought it would be too much like dessert. Next time! The stuffed pig definitely lived up to its name. The breakfast sandwich was delicious!!!! Local family run business they definitely do it right!!!!! This was a breakfast like we would expect to find in the mountains. Friendly people and great food!!!!!

Food: 5/5 Service:5/5 Ambiance:5/5 The last time that I came to this establishment it was over two years ago. The food that I had two years ago was absolutely delicious and I'm happy to say that they kept up with their freshness and food delivery. I came in here mid week in the morning to grab some breakfast. There was IHOP in this plaza, but I decided to revisit, and I was satisfied!!! I ordered the catfish meal that came with scrambled eggs and home fries and I also had an omelette with pancakes. Everything was so delicious. Everything was made fresh and with two tomatoes on the side.... I cannot complain!!!Yes, it's a small interior but the food made this experience worth it. This is my first time dining in by the way, I am glad that I got the first hand experience of how breakfast is ran on the inside. Overall, I definitely will be back again and I'm taking more people with me. Everyone has to experience this! kudos to the staff that was there. They made this experience seamless!!

She is a the definition of an amazing chef! There isn't a thing I have had that I didn't love. The breakfast sandwiches, the lunch sandwiches, the pancakes, her chicken sausage is to die for, the coffees, the juices... everything is perfection! And the ladies working their butts off are so friendly and are all great servers. You'd regret it if you didn't come here!

I love their food and I've been there several times but this was the first time I ordered an Arnold Palmer. The tea part was good but the lemonade elevated it to a whole new level--lemon juice with ginger and mint. OMG! If I weren't so sensitive to caffeine I'd have had 3! As it was, it's a splendid excuse to have lunch there again very soon, plus there are menu items I've yet to check out. Our server super friendly and patient without the over-sharing thing I find intrusive and obnoxious. The ambiance is elite diner. Perfect for breakfast or lunch.

The space is clean, modern, and has a laid-back but upscale brunch vibe. Sitting at the bar was the perfect choice the setup is sleek, and it gives you a front-row view of everything going on. Between the lighting, the open feel, and the energy in the room, it just felt like a place you can relax, vibe, and enjoy your food. We sat at the bar, and I highly recommend it if you want the full experience. The bartenders were amazing super welcoming, engaging, and entertaining while making drinks. It made the whole visit feel fun and personal. Now let's get into the food because this is where they really shine. We ordered: * Banana Bourbon Coconut French Toast - $16 * Regular French Toast (side) - $16 * Oxtail & Grits - $25 * Eggs & Sausage - $10 First, the French toast... absolutely incredible. The bread was extremely soft, rich, and perfectly soaked without being soggy. The banana bourbon coconut flavor took it to another level sweet, buttery, and full of flavor. Definitely the star of the table. The oxtail & grits were just as impressive. The oxtail was tender, well-seasoned, and fell right off the bone, paired with creamy, smooth grits that balanced everything out perfectly. Even the eggs and sausage simple but done right. No complaints across the board. Total came out to around $67 before tax, and honestly, it was worth every dollar considering the quality, portions, and overall experience. Overall: Great food, great ambience, and excellent customer service. This is one of those spots where you leave already planning your next visit. 10/10 I'll definitely be back.

As would be expected with a condo, there is very little guest parking - maybe 9 spaces- and they were all full. Thus, I parked on the street behind the condo. There is lots of free street parking all over this area, which is mostly residential. There is some construction being done on the front and side of the building, so the entrance is a little hard to find. It is on the West side of the building, and it doesn't look like the entrance to a restaurant AT ALL! Just a side door propped open with a large, wooden, hand-painted sign next to it announcing the Cafe. I walked into the door and accidentally turned into the kitchen. The cook greeted me warmly and redirected me down the other hallway. I loved this place already! The Cafe looks like an old Southern diner, in a very not-decorated-by-a-designer way, which felt very homey to me. Two diners greeted us when we came in, we sat ourselves at a booth table, and eventually our wonderfully eclectic and kind storytelling waitress brought us menus. The menus are lovingly written in a colloquial, storytelling style that is fun and warm to read. Otherwise, the peeling laminate menus are wonderfully non designed also, and again, I love this! The board of daily specials was special with cornbread french toast amongst the items. I loved seeing more than one regular menu item I have never seen anywhere else (grits inside an egg wrap. My friend chose a breakfast quesadilla. I chose to make my own meal by ordering a slice of (heavily touted on the menu) banana bread, hashbrown casserole, and grits with cheese. I loved every bite! The hashbrown casserole was giant, and crisped all over the outside, so cutting it open was a treat- delicious. The banana bread was light, moist, and also delicious. The grits with cheese were nothing different or special, which was exactly as I expected. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to this quirky hidden cafe! Shoot! I am already craving hashbrown casserole and banana bread again...
