I'd give this establishment zero stars if it were available. Their company lost the key to shutting off the water from a previous job they did on someone else's unit in our condos. So, one hour was charged to my service just to get in contact with the HOA to get another key to shut off the water system, which took 40 minutes. I had two valves in the kitchen and one valve on the bathroom toilet replaced. Two hours was more than enough time for the service. Being charged for one extra hour is outrageous. When talking to a manager regarding the incident, he said he was going to investigate the issue and call me back; four days went by without a call, so I decided to call back. I was treated like they didn't even care. They said there was nothing they could do for me except offer a 5% discount, which is complete BS. We had Petes plumbing come out to fix a plugged drain. The plumber missed the first appointment and was almost late showing up to the next one. This guy walked around the residents and knit picked at everything he could find. He then went and wrote all of this information down on his work list. Mind you this all took 2 hours to complete. I hab to run this man off the property due to him not doing whay i asked him to. (Fix a plugged drain!) Anyway, i called another plumber and this guy had the issue fixed in less than an hour! I live in a condominium, and Pete's Plumbing has been called out at least four separate times to address the same leak. Despite repeated visits and thousands of dollars in charges, the issue remains unresolved. Each time they come out, we're billed again, yet the leak persists. They have cut through multiple walls in neighboring units and are now suggesting cutting through as many as six units to resolve what they claim is a single-source leak. This level of disruption, combined with their inability to identify or fix the problem after so many visits, makes me question their competence and integrity. It's hard not to feel that this company treats HOA funds like free money, sending invoices without accountability. On one occasion, they even billed for a visit where they never showed up or performed any work. After talking with neighbors, it seems this isn't an isolated incident. If you're a single homeowner, you may have a different experience. But if you're part of a condominium or HOA, I strongly urge you to think twice before hiring Pete's Plumbing. From my experience, they've been unprofessional, ineffective, and costly with no resolution to show for it. Don't believe me... read all their bad reviews. They are consistent. Interesting reply... We've used Pete's Plumbing for over 20 years. They repiped our house for $10k, changed a broken drain pipe over $600, and recently replaced our water heater $2k in 2022. About a week ago I noticed hot water in shower not very warm and checked the heater. The system light was not blinking so I followed directions to relight pilot light. Tried to relight about a dozen times but light never came back on. Thinking it may be a sensor I called Pete's last Friday morning. I was told they were booked and have to be Saturday and considered after hours. I protested and explained I was a long time customer who has given referrals. She came back and said someone would be by between 10 and 11 AM. Good. Shortly after 10 Ron arrived and I recognized him from previous jobs. I already had the outside water heater door removed and clean. I thought the heater needed to be drained but Ron showed me a label that states it's not needed on my model. Yay. Then I noticed the service light was blinking! Like it's supposed to. So apparently I DID relight earlier but took awhile for system to register. So I apologized for wasting Ron's time and he left. Maybe 8-10 minutes at most. Today I get a bill for $98 for a "Trip Charge". They have always been expensive but I just accepted it. But after decades of loyalty you would expect a senior (73) discount or reduction in a service call that took no effort or any labor. So I'll pay this bill knowing gas is high and time is valuable. But it will be the last time for Pete's Plumbing. read more

He was going to be late. He used the old bait and switch and tried to install a cheaper product and charge me for a more expensive one, and when I confronted him about the bait and switch, he cursed at me and told me he didn't need my business. This review is specifically about Pete's management. I live in HOA building. Pete's plumbing is our HOA maintenance plumbing company. I am doing remodel of bathrooms in my condo. This requires water shut down for the unit. The only company that knows what valves to shut down is Pete' plumbing. licensed plumbers that the owners hire have no information from HOA on the location of the HOA valves .Pete's charges $240 for shut down service on top what the owner pays to his/her plumber. Our HOA allows owners to perform their own shutdowns with licensed plumbers and requires a 3 day notice if other units are affected by the shutdown. Obviously my plumbers had no idea what HOA valves needed to be turned off. When called Pete's a week ago for the info on the location of the valves, Josh, the office manager advised that all I needed was to shut down my stack(3 units). I placed the notice 72 h prior to shut off and secured availability of my plumber. My plumber turned off water to 3 units as advised by Pete's. This did not work. I had to call Pete's on the same day and ask for their plumber to come in and show my guys what needs to be shut down. I was willing to pay for that visit. And the only purpose of this visit was shut off request. Not fixing anything in my unit. The plumber, Ron, when arrived, contrary to Josh, advised that I had to turn off 9 units vs 3 . This required a new notice to be posted with another 72 h lead time. My plumbing was delayed by another week. Pete' charged me $98 for the visit and my plumber, unable to work on the project, charged me for his time. To make sure the second attempt to shut off water went smooth , I asked Pete's to come back this Monday. Pete' s plumber again could not turn off the HOA valve because it was broken. So, I had a second notice, 3 days delay, expense for my plumber, no shower in my unit.The plumber from Pete's advised that the only way to shut the water was to shut off entire building or 47 units. Not 3 or 9. This would require a special notice again with another 72 h delay. I could not wait any longer without risking of loosing the construction crew due to timing. The following day I got another bill from Pete's for $240. Pete's plumber who worked on this issue told me that I should not have received 2 bills and the second shutdown should have been treated as continuation for the first failed attempt. Basically 1 bill for $240. And he promised to talk to office manager to adjust my invoice. When I called Pete's to discuss , the office manager Josh refused to understand my position, informed me that Pete's does not have continued shut off policy and stated that Pete's as our HOA plumbing company is NOT responsible for malfunctioning HOA valves. In my 44 years of customer service support manager for a major US corporation I have never came across such a callous customer attitude . I have broken foot, no shower in my unit ; HOA plumbing company that did not give accurate information regarding location of the valves (3 units vs 9), failed to maintain HOA valves in proper condition, charged me almost $340 on top of the lost time I had to pay to my own plumber. I have no issues with Pete's plumbers or front office. But I do have issue when I am billed for the service that could not be performed because of wrong information provided by Pete's and substandard customer service. Since then I talked to owners of 3 units in our building who experienced the same issue with Pete's plumbing. The company that refuses to understand the customer position, causes unnecessary expense and argues with the customer on the phone deserves this review and report to BBB read more

I recently had Pete's Plumbing come and unplug my kitchen sink. I was overbilled for the service and it was the 2nd time this has happened. I had to call to correct this and they did, but it bothers me that it has happened twice now in a span of 16 months. What are the odds? For my last visit, I was quoted a standard rate of $106 to unclog my sink. The bill came to $172. There were 1.5 hours of labor added. The plumber was in and out of my house in less than 15min.
