I highly recommend A-1 Performance Plumbing. About two weeks before Christmas I had a clogged line. Scott ran a camera down the line to diagnose the issue and charged me $100 less than another plumber I had called. Without mentioning the $250 the other plumber was going to charge me, Scott told me that he normally charges $250; however, he wanted to give people a break with the holidays approaching and decided to charge $150 during December. It turned out part of my main line had to be replaced with ABS. He was able to get in done quickly and put in a cleanout as well. Our regular plumber was out of town when our shower and toilet backed up. Found A-1 Performance Rooter & Plumbing on Yelp, and are SO GLAD we did! They started by checking all the clean-outs and snaking the lines. They had the experience to know the lines were gunked up so badly we needed hydro-jetting. Scott came back the next day and jetted the lines, only to discover the cast iron under the house was totally rotted out. They showed me the camera view, and it wasn't pretty. The next day Scott's crew replaced all the cast iron with ABS - in just one day! Over 40 feet of rotted cast iron filled the back of their pickup truck. The crew was fast, clean and did the tough and dirty job with good humor. Considering all the visits and hard work under the house, their pricing was entirely reasonable! I now believe we have a plumbing company that we will use from this point forward. It can be nerve-wracking selecting home repair and home improvement companies when you are not knowledgeable in the service area, in this case plumbing, and you fear an unscrupulous person/company will exploit your ignorance. I feel this company to be honest and fair. Both Scott (the owner) who made the initial visit and estimate and Eric who came back to complete the job of replacing the main sewer line from the house to the street were friendly and took the time to explain the situation well. I feel confident in recommending this company to anybody who might find themselves in need of a plumber for any type of job, big (like I needed) or small. Also, the woman who answers the phone and makes the appointments made a good impression and is a friendly voice both times I called. They weren't able to come out and give an estimate the same day I called since it was a busy time in between Christmas and New Years which I completely understood. In addition, once they gave the estimate they also were upfront in explaining they would not be able to start on replacing the pipe for two days because of current jobs they were in the middle of but they would unclog the line to allow us to freely use our water in the meantime.
