Called Plumbing Squad re what I suspected might be a leak due to water bill getting higher each month. Allen came the next day and was VERY DILIGENT and THOROUGH in trying to figure out the problem. After looking at everything he said let's ask about the toilet in the back once more and sure enough the user said yes, they were hearing sounds from the toilet. Well it turns out the toilet had been self flushing but the user never reported it. Allen replaced the flapper and fill valve and then rechecked the meter and it was stable. Viola! Thank you!! Also, while he was under the house he found that the drain line in the kitchen was leaking (badly) when the water was turned on due to big cracks in the line. He took video and pictures and showed me. This had nothing to do with the increased water bill but something that needed addressing. Thank you again, Allen! I have used Plumbing Squad a few times now for some work around my house. The first time, the replaced the valves and hoses in my laundry room before a new washer/dryer were installed. Eddie and Anthony performed that job and did a great job. They arrived within their stated time which I appreciate and finished the job quickly and efficiently. The second time I called them in for a job, Eddie was our service guy once again. He replaced the faucet and pipes of the sink and toilet refill tube and valves in my downstairs bathroom. My brother was here at the house during that visit and referred to Eddie as "the smiley guy" . My brother really liked Eddie's friendly demeanor and efficiency in his work. The following morning, I notice that the toilet had started leaking. Nothing to do with the parts that had been replaced in the toilet but from the water supply valve under the toilet. The office was very responsive and dispatched a plumber within the hour. Very quick response and good availability. However the plumber who arrived was mediocre. He tried snaking the pipes repeatedly for over 2 hours and failed to unclog the toilet pipe. Then he said he needed to charge a separate job to unmount the toilet in order to unclog it, but I just paid and sent him away without fixing the issue. My regular plumber from another company showed up afterwards and got it unclogged within 20min, without unmounting the toilet and snaked from the exact same clean out with a similar size snake, all for the same price. I had a water leak overnight. I spent hours on google and yelp trying to find a good plumber but it was hard to tell which reviews were genuine vs not. I finally just asked my neighbor which plumber her company used, when she had a similar problem, and she gave me Plumbing Squad contact information. I want to thank Alan for responding so quickly. He was able to come within the hour and find the leak. First he had to determine where the leak was coming from. Once he located the area, he made a small hole in the ceiling and the leak was right there. He was able to repair the leak right away. The whole process took about 40 minutes.
