But that is not why I am willing to drive long distances to play the wonderful game of Golf. It's because I enjoy playing on a golf course that are difficult to get on unless you're a member. And if a family or friend invites to you to play, I never say no. The Vineyards Golf Course is a beautifully designed course that easily blends in with its surroundings. The course has three set of tee boxes which we chose to play the back tees of course. Why??, well because the young men I was playing with can drive ball 300 yards plus and sometimes on the fairway. It sure did not help my game when I attempted to drive the ball the distances they seem capable. I found the Vineyards golf course challenging with its rolling fairways, protected by large meandering sand bunkers, false fronts and hazards. We had a windy day that played in our favor on some holes and others which easily challenged us. The par-3 holes were a variety in length, direction and difficulty. The secondary roughs had fescue grasses and in some cases we were lined up along a corn field farm. Vineyards was much more challenging than I anticipated, but I very much enjoyed the course and would love to play there again before the season ends.

We weren't too hungry so we ordered mussels in red sauce, fried calamari, spinach pear salad and ham burger and samuel adam's summer brew. The mussels were very clean and the red sauce was delicious. The calamari was crispy, the spinach salad was well balanced with sweet poached pear and tangy bleu cheese. The burger was juicy. All the dishes we ordered were very good.

It was too hot to eat outside, but at least we got to see the beautiful outside area, which we will definitely check out when the weather is nicer. When we got to our table we met our awesome server Kim, who helped our friend with the menu and gluten free options. She was so friendly, knowledgeable and patient with all of us and our questions. When the drinks and apps came out, they were absolutely delicious. Kim is also an awesome bartender and her drinks were perfect! The apps I would recommend are the scallops, shrimp, fried mozzarella, and the mussels. Yes, we had them all and they were awesome! When our entrees arrived they were not only delicious, but also beautifully presented. Everything we ate here from the apps to our desserts were outstanding! When we were done with dinner, we asked about exploring the upstairs since it looked very interesting and we were curious about it when we first walked in. Kim encouraged us to go explore, even though they were closing, and we were so happy we did. And that is why Chick-fil-A will be around forever and although it will take time the demise of this Restaurant is very predictable. We were here for Mother's Day Brunch with a group of about 8, and 2 small children. We were there for approximately an hour and a half before any food came out. When it did come out it was wrong. We had to ask many times for additional place settings and drinks. It was incredibly disappointing especially since looking around, it didn't seem like there were more than a few other tables sat for this event. When the food did come out it was wrong (my children were asked if they wanted chocolate chip pancakes, they said no, and got chocolate chips in their pancakes. Thank god no one melted down over this) among other things. Eggs were cold, etc. Unfortunately we will not be back.
