    Lovely vineyard!

If you are looking for a truly special and upscale wine and food experience, I highly recommend Petit Domaine. One of my friends knows I love bubbly, so she suggested that we try a trip to the winery. Since it's still early in the spring season and the weather is so variable, we opted to reserve an indoor table through their website. We were warmly welcomed when we arrived, and they gave us the option of a tabletop or the couch areas. We opted for the tabletop, since we knew we wanted to share food as a group. After looking through our options on the menu, we decided that we wanted to begin with the small tasting, which provides 2oz servings of their Brut, Blanc de Blancs, and Rosé. We also ordered the smoked salmon rillettes with brioche toasts and an assorted cheese platter to get us started. Since it was my birthday, they also surprised us with an order of the citrus madeleines! Everything was EXCELLENT. My friend who doesn't even like sparkling wine (and planned to pass everything off to us after trying a sip) was in love to the point where we purchased an additional two bottles of the Brut during our afternoon and two more to go. The food was decadent and layered with incredible flavor. I've eaten a considerable amount of smoked salmon around the world, and I can confidently say this was the BEST I've ever eaten. We ended up getting the last order available for the day, so I felt quite lucky! (I would have ordered a second without hesitation if they had more.) We also ended up trying the white truffle infused popcorn and roasted cauliflower tapenade with lavosh crackers later in the experience. The service we received from Selah and the team was outstanding in every way. She expertly explained each of the wines and dishes. She even provided us with a "photo shoot" in front of the wine wall at the end. Although our reservation was locked in for two hours at the table, we ended up spending about four there together, especially since we were the only ones there for half the time! Even though it filled up quite a bit toward the end, they have each of the seating areas spaced out nicely so you don't feel overcrowded. We knew this would be a luxury experience, but just so you don't have unexpected sticker shock, the prices aren't printed on the menu. It's sort of a "if you have to ask, you don't want to know" type of situation. As a ballpark for those interested in a visit, the bottles of Brut were $115 each, and the small bites ranged between $18-48. They do have a membership for $648/6 months, but it's on a waitlist. To me, the quality of everything was well worth paying for, and I will absolutely visit again!

Galentine's hosted by one of my long time Sistafriend's gathered some beautiful and fun ladies together super early Saturday morning to venture to @thepetitdomaine in Hillsboro (Loudoun County) for a day of fun celebrating the love of sisterhood! The staff was very friendly and accommodating! From the door to our seats the staff were simply amazing were every need was met and orders came quickly! The space was spotless, bright, magazine cover worthy and inviting! Some of the ladies favorites were the White Truffle Oil Infused Popcorn (5/5 perfectly seasoned), Kaviari Baeri Caviar with Blinis (4.3/5 my first experience and it was good, the Crème fraìche added a brightness to the briny/nutty taste of the caviar), Duck Rillettes with Crostini (4.2/5 a savory and rich spread which paired well with the crostini). I also sampled a cauliflower based whipped dip with a pita crackers (3.8/5 an acquired taste but pretty good). A shared a toast with my Sissy over a bottle of their Brut (4.1/5) it gave elegant, refreshing and sparkling (like the sparkles remain all the way to the final sip)! If you want an exquisite experience give them a try!

The experience was definitely very nice. Went for my wife's birthday, we didn't order anything to eat by they came by and have her a little try of some desserts. Everyone was polite, greeted us, gave recommendations, and we talked about what the property used to be and what changes they made. If I recall, there were 2 lounge areas, a high top for about 6 ppl, and seats at the bar. We got a bottle, as this was our first stop of the day.

The greeter directed us to the tasting bar where an equally friendly staff member helped us. They told us about the vineyard, wines and food offereings. They also let us taste a couple of wines before ordering. Plenty of seating inside and out. Inside seating is a combination of high tops, low tables, comfy chairs and couches. All the wines were well balanced with a nice level of complexity. We brought 4 bottles home! This is a must visit in the Northern VA/Louden wine area. My rating rationale for beer, wine, or spirits: +1 Service +1 Atmosphere/Vibe +1 Taste/Quality (Flavor, aroma, and overall quality of the beverage) +1 Presentation (Glassware, garnishes, and visual appeal of the drinks) +1 Selection/Variety (Range of beer, wine, or spirit options and uniqueness of offerings)

You have the option to do tastings, flights, but by the glass or bottle and order food from their onsite kitchen. They have plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. I was able to give them some treats and I believe you could also pay to do horse rides My visit was short but sweet!

TL;DR: Great view, great service, but the food isn't as spectacular…read more The view here is amazing. Pick a good weather day, and you'll enjoy it. There are the usual wine and beer flights if you're unsure, like me. You go up to the bar inside and open a tab, and start ordering. The food pick up is at the attached building right by the entrance to the bigger building. There are plenty of parking spaces, so you won't struggle with that. The pizzas and pretzels we ordered were not memorable in any way. Will I come again? I might probably try a new winery. Take this review with some salt, though. I'm not a wine person. I came to hang out and sample the place if you know what I mean.

But the indoor and outdoor fireplaces are a very nice touch. I tried a flight of beers. Most were exceptional. We also got a flight of wines, which was very good. My wife really liked the Ruby. The pizzas are absolutely delicious! Good options for both carnivores and herbivores. The outdoor seating appears to be ample. The weather was cold and windy today, so we opted to sit inside. We normally prefer to sit outside. There are solo stoves out for a warm fire. The view is amazing! Very beautiful. Service is good. Not as friendly as I am used to. We walked it. Looked around and the staff kind of ignored us. It was clear we weren't sure of where we were going. They noticed us and did not say hello. But once we ordered, they seemed to loosen up. The music here is also pretty outstanding. Chill, indie vibe.

While there were plenty of groups drinking and dining, we were able to find a place to sit right away. We opted out of doing a tasting and ordered sangria and food to eat. While I think this winery stands out because it actually offers items other than charcuterie, the food wasn't my favorite. The flatbread was bland and tasted like frozen pizza. However, the food really shouldn't be the main attraction at a winery anyway. The sangria was a solid choice. The star here are really the views. It was absolutely gorgeous. The only thing is, I wish they had better options for a charcuterie. OHH our server also gave us free samples of wine which was nice. Overall, I would come back here. But I would come back for the wine & probably go to another vineyard for food & charcuterie.

Wine - oh the wine - I had a Viognier and then a Cab Franc (no flights but tastings at the bar) - both were great - especially the Cab Franc. While they don't have food service per se, we put together a terrific charcuterie board from the packaged selections they carry. Unfortunately the bottles of wines to purchase are little above my price range, but I'd definitely go back for another glass or two.
