The experience was definitely very nice. Went for my wife's birthday, we didn't order anything to eat by they came by and have her a little try of some desserts. Everyone was polite, greeted us, gave recommendations, and we talked about what the property used to be and what changes they made. If I recall, there were 2 lounge areas, a high top for about 6 ppl, and seats at the bar. We got a bottle, as this was our first stop of the day.

The greeter directed us to the tasting bar where an equally friendly staff member helped us. They told us about the vineyard, wines and food offereings. They also let us taste a couple of wines before ordering. Plenty of seating inside and out. Inside seating is a combination of high tops, low tables, comfy chairs and couches. All the wines were well balanced with a nice level of complexity. We brought 4 bottles home! This is a must visit in the Northern VA/Louden wine area. My rating rationale for beer, wine, or spirits: +1 Service +1 Atmosphere/Vibe +1 Taste/Quality (Flavor, aroma, and overall quality of the beverage) +1 Presentation (Glassware, garnishes, and visual appeal of the drinks) +1 Selection/Variety (Range of beer, wine, or spirit options and uniqueness of offerings)

You have the option to do tastings, flights, but by the glass or bottle and order food from their onsite kitchen. They have plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. I was pleasantly surprised to see horses on site wandering around and eating grass. I was able to give them some treats and I believe you could also pay to do horse rides My visit was short but sweet!

While there were plenty of groups drinking and dining, we were able to find a place to sit right away. We opted out of doing a tasting and ordered sangria and food to eat. While I think this winery stands out because it actually offers items other than charcuterie, the food wasn't my favorite. The flatbread was bland and tasted like frozen pizza. However, the food really shouldn't be the main attraction at a winery anyway. The sangria was a solid choice. The star here are really the views. It was absolutely gorgeous. They also have live music on certain days. I absolutely enjoyed my time here and will be adding this place to my rotation.

The staff were very friendly and gave good recommendations. All of us did the wine tasting and when I tell you .. we were feeling it ... lol the wine was hitting! I did not get food but my friends got the panini, and said it was good. They had a beautiful Christmas tree, jewelry vendor, live music, and wonderful views. The only thing is, I wish they had better options for a charcuterie. OHH our server also gave us free samples of wine which was nice. Overall, I would come back here. But I would come back for the wine & probably go to another vineyard for food & charcuterie.

I love being able to experience Virginia wines while living in a different state and I love having my membership benefits when I do visit the area. The staff at Sunset Hills vineyard has always been welcoming, knowledgeable and hospitable. In addition, they are great with managing my shipments and account from afar and they make it easy to customize a shipment if you prefer different wines than they are offering. Their food service is great for pairing, I absolutely love their ciabatta bread and warm cheese spread with honey. My favorite thing to do is stop in, taste what is new and share a bottle and some snacks with friends while enjoying the views. We ended up getting a bottle to go as well since I enjoyed the wine. Lovely place for some good views and wine!

They have some seating indoors and a small deck area, plus picnic benches overlooking the vineyard. Our sommelier was excellent- knew all the different offering for both wine and beer and had some great suggestions based on our preferences. Honestly my only complaint about this place is that they mostly do bags instead of bottles, which is a real shame. We will definitely be going back!
