I am the owner of PJP's and could not find a place to respond to these reviews. It's strange to me how only the unhappy families find yelp. First off Chris H., we would never misrepresent a puppy or lie about their parentage or change pups on you. Some of our small poodle sires are at the high end of size on the toy and are called an oversized toy or a small miniature-- there is only an inch difference between the two. Cavaliers can get huge from my previous grooming experiences. Your parents were small dogs and just happen to have a really large pup. I have no control over size and we even say that we can not guarantee it. We can only guess from parent weights. It's like humans, there is a large range from my son 6'5" and my daughter 5'6". I am sorry you are dissapointed enough to leave this review. And on Sarah L. We are very sorry that your dog has juvenile cataracts. If you would have proven this before your guarantee expired, we would have compensated you a portion of your purchase price. Emily P., Yes we are a business and have grown because of our repeat customers and word of mouth from buyers. If you would have asked, I could have shown you from the outside, one of our puppy pens. Of course we don't allow people to walk thru our nursery because of fear of parvo being brought in. We just can't risk that. If you would like to come back, I will show you around. Glad your puppy is FANTASTIC. We would have sent you a video and also told you anything you would have asked about her personality. If a puppy shows history of any extra shyness, aggression, or yappy behaviors we definitely call the family and tell them about it and offer them to choose another. We do the neonatal Biosensor feedback to all our puppies and it really helps to make them all comfortable with whatever and accepting to children and other pets. I'm a celebrity certified professional dog trainer and my newest addition is from PJP. I searched high and low for a puppy breeder that does OFA testing (what is that you ask...). OFA is when the parents hips/knees, heart etc are x-rayed/scanned and approved by a third party vet. Dogs have knee problems which leads to very expensive vet bills and lots of stress for the pet parents, this helps avoid it. Guess what? I couldn't find one, all there was for Bichon Poodles was backyard breeders like the Amish ( don't even consider it, thank me later). But PJP matched everything I needed and more. They do genetic testing and more! As a dog trainer I see ALL sorts of dogs, timid, ones that don't ready body signals well, confident, eager, scared and the most important Tim for dog is those early early weeks... when they are with the breeder. PJP does work with the dogs starting at day 3 so you get a CONFIDENT and LOVING dog that you can take on life adventures with you, not to mention training and potty training is much easier. Note, there can still be health issues - like with anytime you get a dog it CAN happen! It's a risk but one that I'm willing to take and the chances are so much less due to PJP's work. My little boy is the most cuddley, sweet, eager to please dog. I couldn't have prayed for a better litter. We get stopped on EVERY walk about 1. How well behaved and sweet he is and 2. How adorable he is. Best of all they are there for the life of the dog, if you have training questions, need help etc they are there for you and the pup. We hit the jackpot by finding PJP, I already have others considering puppies from them. It doesn't get any better. Thank you for making our family complete. read more

I'm surprised at the negative reviews for PJP. I know about 450 people who would disagree with those reviews, who are a part of the PJP Alumni Group on Facebook. I did, literally, two years of research before I decided to purchase my sweet boy from PJP. One of the reasons I chose them because I felt that their website answered all of my questions including showing the pictures of the parents. I felt like everything was upfront, no secrets. When I reached out through email and by phone, they answered all of my questions and responded immediately. When I wanted to come visit my puppy, after he was 7 weeks old, they were happy to host the visit. Everything, from the beginnings of my search to the relationship I now have with PJP and the other PJP parents, has been perfect. I really appreciate that PJP set up a closed Facebook group for alumni. They are gaining nothing from that, except allowing all of us to share stories and pictures. I love it. My sweet boy, Buckley (born 6/18/16) was so well socialized by PJP that it was almost shocking. He's not afraid of loud noises, the doorbell, thunder, etc. He loves AND NEVER BARKS at people and animals. He's very friendly, gives kisses and hugs to everyone. And, he's very smart. We had him potty trained within a few weeks, and he already follows numerous commands including sit, stay, come here, stand, leave it, fetch, drop it, potty time, etc. He's energetic and healthy, and is loving and funny. He is as attached to us as we are to him. If you want a beautiful puppy who will be your forever furbaby, pick PJP. read more

I purchased my F1B medium size Golden-doodle from Petit Jean Puppies, June 2015. She has the best personality and cute as cute can be. I will be back and highly recommend PJP. Easy to deal with, very helpful, knowledgable and available (16 months later and Laura is still answering my questions as they come up). I didn't meet Laura, the owner while I was at Petit Jeans but have since became friends online. This friendship developed over time as Laura has always been available to me when I had a question about my girl. It may have been a simple food question or about grooming or even a potty training question. One evening, my dog got into some deep fryer grease (my husbands fault), I started to panic, it was after 10:00 pm, if I remember right. We were going to load up and go to a 24 hour Vet. I thought I would message Laura first. She got right back to me with the information I needed to take care of things without going to the Vet. Now, I knew going into this that size was questionable. I knew this from researching information from a couple different breeders. I followed a few litters on a breeders site as well. I had seen a wide range of sizes in litter mates. A lot of people in the doodle network talk about this happening. In my case, my Medium size doodle is a whopping 30 pounds! Some of her siblings are 50+. Each of us, at least the ones I'm in touch with, are thrilled with our dogs. This is a great place to purchase a puppy! I purchased my goldendoodle mini in summer 2016. I actually was lucky as I had found this breeder and actually at the time didn't know all the important things to look for. They promoted me with several questions prior in an application having me check vet costs for spay/neuter and having me consider pet insurance. I feel very fortunate while I have not had a dog with health issues or any major accidents I read about others that do and never had considered pet insurance! I don't know that I would have without prompting! The breeder does all available genetic testing on the parents even having their eyes checked! This helps improve the chances of your pup being free from health conditions, again I read about dogs having hip dysplasia and this is something genetic testing helps rule out. I was provided 3 generations of lineage for both parents so you felt more assured about no in-breeding. My pup cane chipped too which is nice! They showed a LOT of patience as I was very indecisive!! The best part to me has been the caring after the sale. First they provide a puppy guarantee for 2 years at the time I purchased. What I love most is they have a customer Facebook group they call alumni and we can interact with others who have PJP puppies! This is really awesome! You can keep in touch with littermates and see how they grow and meet lots of neat people and get great advice. I feel very fortunate to have found this breeder! read more

I purchased a goldendoodle born 1/3/16 in March of 2016. I read tons of Facebook reviews/comments on previous litters, emailed PJP a few questions, reviewed pics of parents and previous pups online & chose my puppy this way. I always over research everything and this was no exception. I researched breeders in my area for months before deciding on PJP. Mostly due to the large amount of health testing they do on their parents and all the happy & repeat customers, they seemed to me like a VERY responsible breeder. I drove to PJP to pickup my puppy and found their grounds to be like I had expected any reputable breeding business to look like. Ive been to a few in the past and this was def the best. And I'll have to say my experience turned out overall amazing. My Goldendoodle is perfection. She is sweet, well mannered, obedient, submissive, healthy, easy to potty and kennel train, not to mention beautiful, I get a ton of comments on her everywhere we go, she loves people and came very well socialized. I was interested in getting a cavapoo for our first dog with my husband. I did a lot of research into different breeders that were selling this breed and I came upon petit Jean puppies. They had so many reviews on Facebook and their website was very straightforward with relevant information. I loved that they had a questionnaire to make sure buyers were aware of all the responsibilities that comes with a new puppy. They genuinely care about where their puppies are going and if they will be well taken care of. Whenever I have questions about puppy care Laura is always so responsive and so knowledgable. When I was looking for the perfect puppy, I took my time researching the perfect puppy. Then I took my time finding the best breeders. I needed to make sure they were responsible. Petit Jean Puppies are that and more. They make sure the parents are treated very well, and they genetically test their parents to make sure they don't have problems that could be passed on genetically. For example, King Charles Cavilers can develope mitral valve issues. Knowing the puppy I was getting came from breeders who are very loving, and responsible was priceless. We are now buying our second puppy from Laura and gang, and I cannot recommend PJP high enough! We looked very long and hard initially for the right breeder and even went there to check the place out. I am SO happy and proud that my dog was born and initially exposed to their superb environment! The genetic testing and socialization done to the parents are above and beyond. We had been researching breeders for about two years and it was our vet who told us about Petit Jean Puppies. From the beginning of the process both Laura and Gina were extremely transparent and honest. When Gatsby started to get an underbite Laura called us right away with photos and when we showed them to our vet they were shocked that the breeder told us this or even noticed because it was so slight. Also when we got Gatsby our trainer said he was already extremely well socialized, confident and loved his crate! He never has had one accident in it! We picked up our Baley, male Cavapoo, in June after 7 months of back and forth communication with PJP. Foond them to be so very responsive and informative as we were preparig to bring our fur baby home- long distance might I mention. Now at 8 months old he is affectionate, beautiful, smart and the most well behaved puppy. Loves cuddles and responded exceptionally well to training. I am from the Nashville area and searched for weeks for a cavapoo. I was unwilling to purchase a dog from a breeder who I didn't fully trust had my pup's long term wellness a priority. I'm so happy I found PJP. I was on the waiting list for approximately 3 months, then waited another 2 months before bringing my puppy home. It was the best decision I've made. I cannot say enough positive things about Amber and Petit Jean Puppies! Our PJP goldendoodle, Henry, is so calm, sweet, and smart, and even when he was a young puppy, we received compliments from our veterinarian, groomer and everyone who met him remarking about his calm demeanor. Laura has the most amazing puppies of all time! I have two of her Moyen sized poodles who are now seven years old and in perfect health. They have been amazing in temperament, color and overall personality. I had done a tremendous amount of research and looked through thousands of dogs/breeders (literally) to find my new puppies. I came across Petit Jean Puppies' site and fell immediately in love. We loved Laura's dogs so much that my mom got a toy poodle and my brother got a cavapoo who are also amazing dogs. My experience has been INCREDIBLE with Petit Jean Puppies. We got my sweet puppy in Feb of 2015 and she has been the most well behaved, healthy, gentle, loving puppy that I have ever been a parent to. Any questions that needed to be answered regarding the care of my sweet puppy were answered quickly by the owner. This is my 3rd puppy from Petit Jean. I have been very impressed with how happy and healthy the puppies are in addition to being very beautiful. My first was a Moyen Poodle, then a mini Goldendoodle, and most recently an Australian Labradoodle. Laura and Gina have been very easy to work with and very accommodating. I also like that they offer a service where puppies can be hand delivered to your home. I met them about halfway which was very convenient for me. I've gotten two puppies from here. This is a very reputable breeder, who is painstaking in the care of her puppies. I've seen her entire operation. Yes, she definitely turns out a large number of puppies. But, the kennels are clean, the puppies are well cared for, properly vaccinated, well fed, and well socialized. I just can't imagine why anyone would leave a negative review. I, personally, have two positive experiences with this breeder. We got our puppy about 18 months ago and couldn't be happier. The work that they do with the pups before you can pick them up (training with a doggy door, being around other animals), makes the house training and socialization almost seamless. They also make sure to inform you about dog foods, crate training and puppy care in general. Their prices are competitive with other breeders, but I believe that their personalized care and puppies available, far surpass these others. read more
