Kofta Kebab Platter and Gyro Platter
    Lauren E.

Ordered online for delivery which was easy to do through their website. Everything was amazingly seasoned but the kebabs were drier than I would have liked making them a little tough. I'm not sure if eating in person would solve this but I'd assume so!

Over the past year food has definitely improved and I really enjoy Petra again!! Same menu but seems like they are more detailed with food prep as they used to be. I personally love the Petra maza but you can't go wrong with any combo!

Came here while in town working NCAA Finals. We looked up good food near me and this spot popped up. When i say they were absolutely right! The food was flavorful. 3 of us got the chicken shawarma combos. It came over rice and was with onions and tomatoes. 1 of us got a lamb gyro. The portions were so large so we had to go boxes. The staff were all nice and gave suggestions before we ordered. I would definitely recommend and I would go back again when in town.

Lentil soup. The most amazing lentil soup I've ever had in my life. .

The first time I came to Petra, I didn't know what to expect. My friend ordered the lentil soup and me not knowing what to order I followed suit. What occurred after was the best lentil soup I ever had. Whenever I'm in town I stop by Petra and get at least two bowls of lentil soup. It's very good, very flavorful. One time and had too much pepper, but other than that it's been spectacular the five times I've been here. Five stars

I'm sorry but I reeeally didn't like how anything tasted. I've wanted to try this place for years and finally got a chance to visit. Now, Mediterranean food tastes different depending on country/ethnic group. I really love Lebanese hummus, for example, and Turkish red lentil soup. What I got: -Gyros: eeek. The gyro meat didn't taste all that great and the pita bread taste was meh. - hummus: honestly I hated it. Worst hummus I've had in a long time. Some people might love it tho, and that's personal preference for hummus style and flavor. - falafels : meh The people there were nice enough but I just don't think this place is for me

Staff quickly serving 13 people in the span of 15 minutes

Tiny space packed with flavor. Loved the tahini for the falafel. Best I've had. Greek salad was as expected. Lamb kabobs were deliciously seasoned, if a little tough. Gryos were standard, nice fluffy pita bread and delicious seasoned fries. Staff was friendly and quick. Definitely hit the spot for a quick Mediterranean lunch!

It's been several years since I've had food from Petra Cafe and I can't believe I've missed out. This experience is from an order through Door Dash. I ordered the mixed platter of kabobs and they did not skimp out on the meat! It was flavorful and juicy. The rice was a bit more oily but it was still good once I added the tzatziki sauce!

I wanted to introduce my friend to Petra and while we loved the ambience, service and atmosphere I knocked off a star for the meat on my meat platter to be extra dry. I had to generously slather garlic sauce to ensure the dip cut the dryness, which it eventually did. The place gets so busy right at dinner and the crowd was extremely chic and fun. A lot of to go orders and DoorDash deliveries were being prepared. This is really nice place with authentic Mediterranean food -just the timing could have been wrong with my visit.

You get a lot of food here for a good price. I went in for the first time the other day at dinner time on a Saturday and was able to order immediately and my food was ready within 5 minutes. It is pretty small inside but there are a few tables if you want to eat there. I got mine to go. I had the spicy gyro combo which comes with fries and a drink. The fries were excellent and the spicy gyro was incredible too. The meat was flavored perfectly with just the right amount of spice, plus a perfectly soft pita and plenty of cool tzatziki to top it off! Will definitely be back to try the chicken shawarma next. This is a great spot for good Greek food!

The food was made fresh to order. It was hot and flavorful. I'm content as they had falafel, which is one of my favorite things to eat. They've been here for 8yrs. Friendly, guys. Intimate space. My food was definitely worth every penny. My combo came with a sandwich, fries, and drink.

Looking for authentic hummus ? This is the place. I could literally eat their hummus by itself that is how delicious, fresh and authentic it is. I've never had such good hummus before. This is my go to hummus place. I usually always get either the chicken Shawarma platter or wrap. They sauce it up with the perfect amount. If you like spice - be sure to ask for the spicy sauce it adds a nice little kick! This place is inexpensive for such delicious food. I highly recommend this place when you're craving Middle Eastern food.

For other first-time…read morevisitors, I recommend letting the coffee sit for about 30 seconds before taking a sip so the fine grounds can settle to the bottom. Also, don't stir it after it's served, as that will bring the grounds back up into the coffee. Be sure to leave the last sip or two in the cup, since that's where the grounds collect. The coffee itself was excellent, but I would recommend that servers explain these details to first-time customers or at least ask whether they've had Turkish coffee before. A little guidance would make the experience even better for newcomers. We also ordered the hummus as an appetizer, and it was fantastic. The naan was served warm, and the hummus tasted incredibly fresh and flavorful. It was the perfect way to start the meal. We also ordered The Bosphorus Special, a mixed grill platter featuring doner, kofte, chicken kebab, beef kebab, Adana kebab, and chicken Adana kebab, served with vegetables and white rice. Everything was absolutely delicious. The meats were cooked perfectly, tender, and packed with flavor. I'm so glad my significant other and I decided to share this entrée because the portion was very generous, and we still had plenty of leftovers to take home. While the service could have been a bit more attentive, it did not negatively impact our overall experience. After our food was served, our waitress did not check back to see how everything was or whether we needed anything additional. We also ended up with quite a few leftovers and requested to-go containers. Initially, only one small container was brought to the table, which required two additional follow-ups before we received enough containers for the remaining food. One suggestion I would offer is that, for tables ordering larger meals, it may be helpful for servers to proactively offer to box up leftovers as dishes are cleared. For just two people, our table became overcrowded rather quickly, especially with the generous portions. Since our waitress did not return after the food was served, it made managing the table and leftovers a little challenging. That said, we had a wonderful first experience overall. The food was outstanding, the portions were generous, and we look forward to coming back again in the future.

The baba ganoush at Noor Cafe is great, and comes with warm pita slices, plus pickled vegetables on top. The falafel pita comes with a lot of different vegetables and sauces, and is fresh and cool from the veg, but warm from the falafel and pita. It's also huge! This is something you could definitely split if you wanted to, or eat by yourself if you're especially hungry. I was a little taken aback by how small the dining room is at Noor Cafe. There are four tables, and one of them was filled with toys, which was adorable. Some kid came from out back to play with them, and I was reminded by the adage that the best Asian restaurants are those where some kid is playing or doing their homework in the dining room. I think that might be true! Noor Cafe is not Asian, because they offer Mediterranean food, but they're also not-not Asian because they also offer some Indian options (kaathi rolls, paneer). I mentioned that I got a glass of Pinot Noir here. Yes, they offer beer and wine! They served the red wine chilled, which is not ideal, but I'm willing to overlook that because the baba ganoush was so good.

You walk in, you order at the counter, you find a table. The format is familiar. What lands in front of you is anything but ordinary. So, I am going to address the dessert situation first and without apology. I started with the baklava before the rest of the food arrived. Why? I am not a Padawan. I am a grown Jedi who has earned the right to sequence a meal however the Force sees fit, and the Force saw fit to begin with dessert. The baklava was sweet, crispy, and exactly what baklava is supposed to be when someone actually makes it properly. I considered ordering another. A Jedi exercises restraint. I waited for the rest of the order instead, which did not take long, so the sacrifice was manageable. When the full spread landed on the table the presentation alone was doing work. My partner's Greek salad with chicken kabob looked as good as it tasted, which turned out to be very good. I sampled the chicken kabob and it paired beautifully with my roasted red potatoes, which came out tasting like olive oil and lemon pepper had a perfect collaboration and decided to coat every potato equally. My Street Gyro had the kind of meat to vegetable ratio that suggests whoever assembled it understood the assignment. Good balance technically, but the balance leaned toward more meat, which is the correct direction to lean. The Ruffles chips that came alongside were a chaotic and welcome addition to an otherwise Mediterranean operation. Nobody saw that coming. I respected it. My partner finished the chocolate chip cookies and had no complaints. I had no complaints about anything. Taziki's is not trying to be a sit down Greek dining experience and it does not need to be. It does what it does cleanly, consistently, and with enough flavor to bring us back the next time the craving for Greek food makes its presence known in the Force. Five stars, would absolutely return. The baklava alone justifies the trip.
