I ordered catfish fillets, but received strips

I ordered a 2 pc catfish and fries. Got home and they cut 1 pc into 2 pcs. I called and they said "that's how it comes brother". Then I told them I'm leaving a review and he said ok we'll make it right when you come back smh

I was in the mood for some state fair food and went to Mr Gyro's for an Italian Sausage sandwich. I opted to get my sandwich with grilled onions, marinara sauce and hot giardiniera peppers. It was a delicious hearty meal. They offer a wide variety of sandwiches including gyros which they are known for. They also offer a drive thru option for carry out.

There is absolutely no way they charged me $30 and then cooked this up and thought it was acceptable . The fish is so overcooked it's unrecognizable. It was sooo dry and flavorless. Inedible. The fries were extremely soggy with grease. There is just no way they thought this was okay. If you accidentally overcook the food, you recook it, not package it up and sell it.

This place can be a hit or miss. Today I would say was a hit! The food was fresh and my children were pleased. There weren't many people inside, so we received our food rather quickly.

I really have been trying to find a Gyro that compares to home, now I think we have a winner. Mr. Gyro is very affordable and gives you a perfect amount of food for your money I didn't have to ask for an extra pita bread and I had enough Gyro meat to make another for dinner. They've got a good thing going.

Mr Gyro's lives up to their name!!!! Unlike another local merchant who serves gyro meat in a pita pocket with only a choice of his custom sauces, you get the REAL GYRO experience here; a REAL gyro pita with all the trimmings, lots of onion, tomato and tzatziki sauce as an AUTHENTIC GYRO SHOULD COME WITH!!!! Food was hot and fresh and the Greek salad was complete with feta!!!! When in Indy I know where to go for authentic gyros; and so should everyone!!!!

This is a local hidden gem!! Great place for gyros with great prices that have never changed over the years! The quality and taste has always been on point each time I've gone ... I don't think I've ever had a bad experience here. The owners are very nice and friendly as well!

Outstanding gyros . Whether you get the number1,9, Gyro dinner, or their daily specials you can never go wrong! $9.99 for a LARGE 14 oz Gyro and fries This has been around forever! I LOVE their last FB post! They are here for the people BY the people. The prices CANT be beat. The quality is just as good as the Gyros served at the GREAT #GreekFestival last weekend. Mr. GYRO HIMSELF is taking a much needed break in Greece for a month from what his staff informed me today. He left the place in good hands but he IS missed. DONT SKIP THIS PLACE!!!

This has been me and Daddy's spot for my whole life. now it's mine and my husband's. This is where I come for some serious comfort food. I have never had a bad experience. Drive-thru or dine in, everything is made to order. Family owned. They're actually from Greece, regardless of who is in the kitchen. Homemade tea and lemonade. They have the meats! $.40 for extra tazikii. They do have TVs. Pepsi soda machine. 23 years in the neighborhood and they aren't going anywhere anytime soon.

Baked chicken rice is definitely on point. The rice was cooked to perfection and the chicken was juicy and well seasoned, not salty at all.

Thankfully, there was no wait, so we were seated immediately. We chose to sit outside since the weather was perfect. The outdoor seating was under a canopy, and the ground had this rocky/rubble vibe that gave it a cool outdoor patio feel. We grabbed a table near the TV so we could watch the basketball game. One thing I really liked was the activity table where you could color, play board games, or do trivia. They also had ping-pong, cornhole, and other cute activities for little kids, which made the atmosphere feel really fun and family-friendly. I wasn't exactly sure what I wanted to order, but I went with the Cobb salad. It was good, but I definitely needed extra dressing plus some salt and pepper to bring out the flavor. I'd come back for sure, but next time I'll probably try something different since the salad was just okay. Nonetheless, I'm looking forward to bringing my family back to check this place out!

I was seated quickly at the bar and the bartenders at that time were great and punctual and making sure I got a menu and everything else I needed. I definitely appreciated that they weren't constantly approaching me, but they read my cues with knowing when I was ready to order or needed something. I was really pleased with the service that I received. The menu had a mixture of American comfort food as well as classic Southern dishes. I took several glances at the food other were ordering and they all looked so appealing and appetizing. I decided to order something that I haven't tried anywhere else, so I ordered the Southern Shakshuka, which is their own unique spin-off to the original. The meal comprised of a base of creamy cheesy grits topped with a somewhat rich layer of roasted tomatoes and vegetables and poached eggs. OMG it was amazing and so flavorful! The space is big and fun, with a large dining room, an old-school video arcade game, interesting art, and a big screen playing movies, which adds to the laid-back, quirky vibe. It's counter service with clear menu boards on the wall, making ordering easy. I had the cheesy jalapeño grits with bacon and an egg and... my goodness. So incredibly delicious. One friend ordered the same grits but swapped in fried catfish instead of bacon--also a fantastic choice. Our third went with a classic plate with eggs and bacon, and let me tell you, the bacon is thick and plentiful. We ordered a side of fries for the table and there were more than enough to share. Self-serve coffee with all the fixings is a nice touch, and the service was friendly and welcoming. Fun atmosphere, great food, solid portions--definitely will be back.

We were greeted right away and looked over the menu a bit before ordering. My husband ordered the country breakfast with chicken (definitely the way to go) and I ordered the cheesy jalapeño grits with bacon. We each got a cup for water and I ordered a coffee, excited because I saw ahead of going that it was self-serve (like at Cafe Patachou where I can get as many coffees as I like without having to wait for our server to come check on us first). However, the self serve coffee excitement was short-lived after seeing that they only offered half and half as creamer (I'm lactose intolerant) and the two coffee carafes were not labeled for what was inside (decaf? medium roast? you'll never know!) and then one was completely empty and never refilled during our visit. The water station also was not ever refilled during our visit, so we were not able to get refills after filling up our cups the first time. It took a couple of tries to find a table we could sit at because you seat yourself, but several had not been cleaned after other guests left and had food and drinks spilled on them. There were definitely enough staff members there to be able to clean them in between customers, so we weren't sure why they were left that way. We ended up sitting in the middle of the room towards the front, across from the clown art wall, which made for interesting conversation as we looked through everything. When the food came out I was impressed with the portions, but I had no flavor whatsoever to my cheesy jalepeno grits. The egg and bacon were good, but not enough to make it a good dish and I would not order it again. And I love savory breakfast and grits in general, so it was a real bummer. My husband's dish was worth the visit though. It was a huge portion size and we honestly would just split it if we came back and ordered it. It was so savory, seasoned perfectly, and juicy. One of the best breakfast dishes I have tried recently! I really debated between 3-4 stars for this, but my dish was a flop, the lack of cleanliness for the seating area, the lackluster self-serve coffee station, and not refilling the beverages ultimately scored a 3 star review for me. I would come back and try something else though, or split the country chicken breakfast because it was really good. Hopefully next time the beverages won't be empty!
