I ordered catfish fillets, but received strips

I ordered a 2 pc catfish and fries. Got home and they cut 1 pc into 2 pcs. I called and they said "that's how it comes brother". Then I told them I'm leaving a review and he said ok we'll make it right when you come back smh

I was in the mood for some state fair food and went to Mr Gyro's for an Italian Sausage sandwich. I opted to get my sandwich with grilled onions, marinara sauce and hot giardiniera peppers. It was a delicious hearty meal. They offer a wide variety of sandwiches including gyros which they are known for. They also offer a drive thru option for carry out.

There is absolutely no way they charged me $30 and then cooked this up and thought it was acceptable . The fish is so overcooked it's unrecognizable. It was sooo dry and flavorless. Inedible. The fries were extremely soggy with grease. There is just no way they thought this was okay. If you accidentally overcook the food, you recook it, not package it up and sell it.

This place can be a hit or miss. Today I would say was a hit! The food was fresh and my children were pleased. There weren't many people inside, so we received our food rather quickly.

I really have been trying to find a Gyro that compares to home, now I think we have a winner. Mr. Gyro is very affordable and gives you a perfect amount of food for your money I didn't have to ask for an extra pita bread and I had enough Gyro meat to make another for dinner. They've got a good thing going.

Mr Gyro's lives up to their name!!!! Unlike another local merchant who serves gyro meat in a pita pocket with only a choice of his custom sauces, you get the REAL GYRO experience here; a REAL gyro pita with all the trimmings, lots of onion, tomato and tzatziki sauce as an AUTHENTIC GYRO SHOULD COME WITH!!!! Food was hot and fresh and the Greek salad was complete with feta!!!! When in Indy I know where to go for authentic gyros; and so should everyone!!!!

This is a local hidden gem!! Great place for gyros with great prices that have never changed over the years! The quality and taste has always been on point each time I've gone ... I don't think I've ever had a bad experience here. The owners are very nice and friendly as well!

Outstanding gyros . Whether you get the number1,9, Gyro dinner, or their daily specials you can never go wrong! $9.99 for a LARGE 14 oz Gyro and fries This has been around forever! I LOVE their last FB post! They are here for the people BY the people. The prices CANT be beat. The quality is just as good as the Gyros served at the GREAT #GreekFestival last weekend. Mr. GYRO HIMSELF is taking a much needed break in Greece for a month from what his staff informed me today. He left the place in good hands but he IS missed. DONT SKIP THIS PLACE!!!

This has been me and Daddy's spot for my whole life. now it's mine and my husband's. This is where I come for some serious comfort food. I have never had a bad experience. Drive-thru or dine in, everything is made to order. Family owned. They're actually from Greece, regardless of who is in the kitchen. Homemade tea and lemonade. They have the meats! $.40 for extra tazikii. They do have TVs. Pepsi soda machine. 23 years in the neighborhood and they aren't going anywhere anytime soon.

Baked chicken rice is definitely on point. The rice was cooked to perfection and the chicken was juicy and well seasoned, not salty at all.

Yamallama Delicatessen - Curry cauliflower bowl (and added chicken on top).... I cannot explain how good this was.

It's mostly grab and go sandwiches and salad, but they also have soup and a great selection of paninis that the staff will press while you wait. I opted for the grilled cheese panini and tomato soup and both were delicious and ready quickly, despite it being a busy day. The price point is reasonable and the woman who took my order and prepared my food was super nice. Yamallama for the win!

I looooove their tangerine tomato soup, falafel bowl, and taco bowl. Last week, I asked an employee which item on the menu is her favorite and she said the curry cauliflower bowl, so I ordered it. I CANNOT EXPLAIN how delicious it was. I got the tahini dressing and opted to add on pulled chicken for $5 and have not gone a day without thinking about it. The curry cauliflower bowl has: curry roasted cauliflower, golden raisins, cashews, pickled red onions, crispy chickpeas, and artisan lettuce blend. I know it sounds healthy and I don't care if you don't even like curry... you will LOVE THIS. I want it for every lunch for the rest of my life and I'm already planning my next visit to The AMP so I can get my hands on it. Order it. The only turmoil I now feel is the stress of wanting to try everything on the menu but not wanting to *not* order this bowl. Take one look at their menu and you'll be so impressed. I mean... they have an "everything bagel caesar" dressing. How delicious and creative is that? They have sandwiches, salads, warm bowls, soups, desserts, and more. Everything is colorful, fresh, and delicious. Thank you so much @Yamallama for being incredible. I saw that you now sell your bowls at Dream Palace Cafe too and I hope to see Yamallama meal options at many more coffee shops, stores, and cafes around town. I'll buy one every time I see one!!! PS: I just saw that they closed their second location in The Garage Food Hall and opened one across the street from The Children's Museum instead, so visit there or this AMP location.

I'm not a deli kind of guy…read more But, there's just something about Shapiro's that makes me smile. I'm a lifelong hoosier, and I've always had times when I simply needed to go to Shapiro's. I've shared, quite often, of my deep appreciation for the Shapiro's response when I had accessibility concerns about their Fashion Mall location. They did a remarkably beautiful job of responding well, adapting, and yet also honoring their own business needs. The end result became a more accessible layout that was still customer friendly for everyone. I will always appreciate that response and should their praises. But, there's something special about this location. It's the look. It's the feel. It's the vibe. It's just everything. A little bit of Shapiro's history - you can trace the Shapiro family back to 1795 Ukraine. Louis and Rebecca Shapiro landed stateside in 1905; within a couple years opening a small grocery/deli. In 1925, they leaned into their cultural and faith roots after the election of Ed Jackson as governor (Jackson was a well-known Klan member). They added the word "kosher" to their building and a Star of David. (As someone who's traveled over 7,000 miles by wheelchair, I love a good act of subtle rebellion). They more and more leaned into their cafe routes, and in 1984 added a second location on the northwestside. I probably frequented this location the most since I went to Pike High School. As we all know, that location eventually closed. Fashion Mall lasted about five years. There was a Carmel spot, too. But, for me, it always comes down to this location. It's warm. It's friendly. The food is a premium deli experience. I love the meatloaf (like seriously). They have breakfast, they have a ton of baked good options (cakes, cookies, others), soups, salads, hot deli, cold deli, sandwiches, entrees, and a whole lot more. I love the baked goods. I love the fried chicken. Is it a bit pricey? Yep. You also get enough for at least a couple meals (if you can truly hold out that long). Accessibility is solid here. I've already talked about their attention to that kind of detail. It's real AND it's sincere. Strangely enough, I've never had the Reuben here. It's one of their acclaimed sandwiches, but there's always something else I want more. While you can spend a fair amount here, you can also eat here pretty modestly. Shapiro's, at least for me, is one of those places that defines Indy. I'd likely weep if they ever left our city. Good food. Great family. Wonderful location. Fair pricing. Accessible. Quite honestly, it's just about everything I want a restaurant to be.

The only thing I didn't enjoy were the home fries. A little undercooked but overall the food for the price was good! While ordering, one of the servers came out with these amazing looking quiches! OMG!! I wanted to buy both the veggie and bacon ones so bad but I wasn't going straight home. The quiches were so appealing to the eyes; it's the perfect dishe if you're having guests for the holidays! I'm definitely going to purchase one next time I'm there.
