I happened to come across MediDental care on Instagram weird algorithms, I saw that they accept my insurance and thought I'd try my luck. The following day I called when they were open and explained my situation to them, that I was in need of an emergency exam. within 10 minutes they called me back with an opening, for me to come in. The staff was courteous, attentive and intuitive, the Dentists were informative as well, my questions were answered, my issue was resolved and I was satisfied with my service. I'm now a new client with them and will be back in two weeks for further evaluation and services, and will keep an active review on them after every visit. 10/10 I would recommend their services, so far so good, they can work with you and in a timely manner as well, my issue was resolved in an 1 hr total.

I came back to see him and his response was it shouldn't have broken unless I was chewing rocks. I was eating ice cream... He replaced it and again did sloppy work. I couldn't even floss between the teeth. Other dentists point out how terrible the work is. I'm away again, the crown cracks for the second time, eating mash potatoes. I have other crowns that haven't broken in 15 years. No point in going back to him again as I'm aware he's incompetent. Anna is gentle and very thorough! She is also direct, and always lets me know if something is coming that I don't like (I hate cold air and scraping). Anna always soothes your nerves by talking to you, and it always astounds me how much she remembers about your life. She is truly a gem and hands down the best hygienist I've ever had. You can tell that Dr. Takos really cares about his patients and wants them to have their best smile possible. He has given me great advice regarding my tooth sensitivity, and he's never tried to advertise any unnecessary procedures or appliances. His wife at the front desk is also amazing. For some reason, I had unresolved insurance issues, and she made sure to get on the phone with them and clear it up immediately. I arrived at 11 for my 11:15 appointment since I was told to come earlier for X-rays and paperwork. Around 40 minutes later I was finally called in and taken for X-rays. This part was relatively quick and painless, but the cleaning process was rough and not as thorough as other dentists I've been to. Typically my old hygienist would examine my mouth, tongue and thyroid for any cancer signs, measure my gum recession with a tool, then clean thoroughly using a buffing tool, water pick, metal scraper, and toothbrush, communicating with me at each step of the way. This hygienist started blasting water through my bottom teeth and didn't notice how soaked my shirt was getting until I asked him to stop. He barely scraped anything off my teeth aside from that and gave it a quick brush with an electric toothbrush. He explained that the reason he was using so much water was because my teeth are tight and had tarter build up he was trying to blast, which would've been nice to know during the process. The dentist took a quick look at my teeth and X-rays and said everything looked fine, something else I'm not used to. My old dentist uses a tool that beeps to detect small cavities before they turn large. I probably won't return here and will keep looking for a better dentist in the area.

Knowing that I need to see an endodontist and I came in hoping for treatment for a root canal in one of my molars. I spoke to the front desk, over the phone, if they perform a root canal for tooth number 2. I asked the front desk if she was an endodontist, and she said, the doctor does root canals and other things too. I schedule an appointment for a consultation to be turned away because this procedure requires an endodontist. I paid the consultation for something I already know. It's a waste of money and time if you ask me. I give it a could've been better rating. On the other hand, she has a nice comfortable office and she does seem to be passionate about dentistry but I couldn't say much about her work since I never received any work from her. This is also my very first cavity in all 24 years of my life and I trusted my dentist through the whole process. I had my one teeth filled and was experiencing pain and sensitivity but I waited about two weeks to see maybe if it's just my teeth trying to adjust. I made an appointment to go back and get it refilled and a second tooth next to the initial one had been drilled and filled without me knowing beforehand. I was never asked or told before the drilling that another teeth would have been touched in the process. I waited another two weeks after that, still pain and sensitivity. I cannot chew on anything on that side of my mouth. I cannot drink anything that is not room temperature without it triggering a sharp pain in my teeth. I went back again and a temporary filling was put it. Same ordeal, pain and sensitivity. Waited another two weeks and did a scan and was told I still had a bit of cavity that wasn't taken care of the very first time and was assured that this time for sure would be the last time I had to deal with this pain. So some more drilling was done and the temporary filling was put back in. AGAIN pain and sensitivity. I went back one last time and was told that maybe I was just allergic to the filling and a different filling was put in. Not only did it not help, I constantly feel like I have to grind my teeth now. This new filling also came with a lingering discomfort that has been causing me a headache. I will not be coming back here and I for sure do not recommend this place at all. Initially after the first filling was done, I had asked if I could please switch a dentist and I was denied that. This is obviously intentional negligence to not put into consideration what a patient is asking you. This experience is really traumatizing especially for what was told a small filling that took me 5 visits going back and forth. Please always ask for a second opinion about your cavities because this could literally be you. I really wish I have never had my teeth filled or step foot in this place. I can never rest or eat the same again and have to deal with this pain everyday. Please go somewhere else or avoid this place.
