The website reflects well the vibe of the office -- and the office is beyond any expectations I've ever had for a dentist. The entire place is impeccable clean, well-organized and, despite being on the basement level, bright. To top it all off, additional amenities like back massagers and ceiling-mounted TVs are available while you're in the chair. But really, the best part is the staff. Every single person I interacted with at the office was kind, courteous, and transparent about what was going on at all times. When I first met Dr. S, I was struck at just how personable she was. In a time where healthcare can feel hasty and cold, Dr. S stands out as a practitioner who is truly interested in her patients and will take the time to have a meaningful interaction with you. During our visit, she proactively made me of aware of trouble spots to keep an eye on and offered a some new tips and tricks on dental care that I hadn't known before. All this to say: amazing care! As someone who hasn't had the best experience with dentists in the past, I did a lot of research before picking my new location. The QPD has it all, I am glad I'm able to see an specialist and also get regular cleanings. I'm happy with how the entire staff handles transparent communication with fees and recommendations. They offer payment plants and advice on how to proceed with whatever it is you need done. They will also contact your insurance for estimates. The offices are spotless, bright, and filled with natural plants that make going to the dentist less stressful due to the environment. I was able to enjoy the massage chair during my visits & even got to pick what I wanted to watch on the TV to distract myself from what I needed done. The experience is worth the price. This place can win over even the most unyielding anti-dentite. Growing up I had a great dentist, but when I ended up going away to college and relocating to NYC for work the search for an equally great dentist was a challenge to say the least. Furthermore, the city is saturated with dentists so the sheer choice alone was overwhelming. Fear not - this is NOT one of those midtown Manhattan practices who try to turn over patients as if they're a turning over tables in a restaurant. The QPD takes their time with you, answers all your questions appropriately, and explains your treatment options. The staff is pleasant and personable, and the office is top notch (they have TV's on the ceiling so you can watch your favorite shows while you're getting your teeth cleaned - brilliant!). It's as if this place actually listened to what their patients wanted out of their dental experience and gave it to them - who would've thought it possible. They even have reasonable payment plans for the uninsured. I live in Manhattan, but make the trek over the bridge to LIC to the QPD. It's a no brainer. I wish I found this place sooner. read more

I found this dentist off a Facebook group recommendation. The location unfortunately is very congested and no parking available. The inside is very modern, up to date and clean. The dental hygienist was very good. She did a good job cleaning my teeth. She was gentle and attentive. The dentist was great too. She was knowledgeable and personable. My only turn off was my first appointment was canceled within days as I did not provide my insurance information on the phone. I had to reschedule another appointment at a later date once I provided them my information. I understand they want to make sure you are insured prior to your appointment but as a first time patient I did feel uncomfortable providing this info ahead of time. read more

I used to be extremely anxious and avoidant of the dentist for years, I had terrible experience in the past and swore off the dentist all together. A friend of mine recommended QPD for their incredible knowledge, good bedside manner and attention to caring for their patients. Thankful to my friend for this recommendation! I am absolutely terrified of the dentist. I literally need nitrous to be able to sit through a cleaning. In fact, I avoided going to the destination for well over five years - until I suffered through a horribly abscessed tooth for three weeks and couldn't take it anymore. The QPD got me in the same day. I literally got in my car when I hung up and they took me as soon as I got there. I was clearly visibly nervous. The assistant stopped what he was doing and actually listened and asked questions about why this sucked so much. He was careful and deliberate with X-rays and whatever he needed to do. The dental assistant listened as well, and was super gentle and SO patient. Dr. S is just phenomenal. She herself greatly dislikes the dentist and dubs those of us that feel this way "anti-dentites" (love this!). She became a dentist for this reason. Like her staff, she listened and asked thoughtful questions. She explained everything she was doing, doing everything she possibly could to make her patient comfortable. I ended up needing a root canal, and she sent me home with antibiotics, and a few antianxiolytics for my next few appointments - though her goal is for her patients not to need them. The root canal was referred out to her colleague, but he was just as patient. Dr. S set the crown and my mouth is good as new! The office also worked with me very diligently to figure out my insurance and payment to make sure I got the care that I really needed. They are SUPER queer friendly and gender-affirming. Literally.... For a terrified queerdo in a ton of pain, Dr. S and her team did literally everything right. I cannot recommend them enough. read more

Decided to go here after reading the reviews and wonder if some of them are manipulated. For $295 out of pocket got x rays and cleaning, and a condescending dentist referred by staff as Dr. S. After a lecture about my hygiene habits, she abruptly leaves and the hygienist shows me the way to checkout. I thought dentists were there to help, not be passive aggressive. Started to ask her questions about my teeth and she was clearly annoyed. (But I paid for this consultation) Got the 'goodie' bag which had all of these sayings, but they definitely do not practice compassion or most importantly professionalism for their paying customer. Hypocrisy at the end of the day. Why would I trust someone with my teeth afterwards? I hope others will speak out if they have a bad experience because these are very hard times and we have to look out for each other. I had a crown put in by other dentist that was giving me constant pain, and I went to QPD to get a second opinion if it needed to be replaced. They took xrays and told me the crown was incorrectly placed and was starting to get decay. After speaking through my options with Dr. S, they replaced the crown and did an amazing job. The office has updated and spectacular technology, so they could take extremely accurate and high-tech xrays of my tooth and see what the issues were. The bedside manner of all of the dental assistants is amazing, and I can tell everyone here truly cares about the patients. read more

I've been seeing Dr. S for over 3 years and was thrilled when she opened her own practice in Queens. In general, I hate going to the dentist as it's always painful and there is always something wrong. However, and I can't believe I'm saying this, Dr. S and her team have made the experience enjoyable and I actually look forward to visiting them. I just had a bridge put in and it was the easiest process. Dr. S is so knowledgeable and explains in detail everything she is doing. The new office is so clean and fancy. They have TVs on the ceiling to distract you while they're working and all of the equipment is brand new and high tech. The staff is very accommodating and can accommodate last minute emergency visits. During Covid, the office takes every precaution to protect their clients. Everyone wears masks, the surfaces are spotless. I feel very comfortable visiting during these uncertain times. It's a great new space and I highly recommend The QPD. read more

It's convenient to get to and has a great vibe to it. Dr. Salehezadeh is also a great person to know, let alone a great dentist. She is caring, inquisitive, friendly, and perhaps most important of all, extremely skilled at what she does. I also like that she takes the time to show you exactly what she sees happening with your teeth and walks you though all of your options with clear explanations. My office used be around the corner from her, and after one of us started seeing her, we got the rest of the office to visit too and they are now also her patients and they all lover her. I've been a patient of Dr. Salehezadeh for years now, and she is amazing! So good that I'm coming from Westchester to Queens for my dental visits! The new office is beautiful and spotless! I felt 100% safe with the precautions they are taking - temperature checks, health screens, sanitizer, masks, etc. The hygienist is so sweet, and it was one of the most gentle, yet effective, cleanings! The chairs are super comfortable and you can even have a slight massage feature on while you get your cleaning and/or watch tv on the screens above your head as you lay back! I had the best experience at the QPD. Since it's my first appointment with them, before my visit, they were very thorough in sending me info ahead and had me all prepped for the visit. When I entered, I was greeted with the biggest smile. I was taken in shortly after my arrival. I was there for general cleaning. While filling out my patient form indicating I have sensitive teeth and thought it wouldn't really make a difference to my treatment, my hygienist Chynna really took that to her attention. She first asked me what kind of sensitivity I am experiencing, patiently explained to me what would be the possible cause and how do I avoid the discomfort; then she probably debated what tool to use to get the stains off of my teeth for around 3-5 minutes because she knows the tools would irritate the sensitive teeth. She had the steadiest hands and the most gentle treatment. She took care of every surface of my teeth. The before and after photos reassured me that my treatment is effective and complete. In my 5 years of dental office-hopping in NYC, she is the best hygienist I've encountered, and I felt seen. Later I was seen by Dr. Salehezadeh and Scott. Both are super friendly, cracking jokes and all. With a professional diagnosis, they made me feel so cared for. There are so many details that completely differentiate this office from the rest, and I can't include them in this already lengthy review. Though I live in Manhattan, I'll travel to the QPD for all my future treatments since I know I will be cared for. Happy belated one-year anniversary to this gem! read more

TLDR - 4 stars for Chyna, who was great and offered a pain free cleaning, but office location is a bit out of the way for me and I didn't really care for the experience. So I hadn't been to the dentist in quite a while for a few reasons and was long overdue for a visit. Was looking forward to finding a new dentist and wanted to get back in the swing of things w regular cleanings and maintenance. Office is clean and bright w a small seating area. I spent most of my time w the dental hygienist Chyna (sp?) who happened to be extremely lovely, patient and took the time to explain most of what was happening. She is also pretty great at her job as I didn't feel much pain during her cleaning, and her Southern drawl is pretty comforting while she is literally doing something that most dental patients loathe. Dr. S was fine, seems nice enough, but I didn't quite connect w her as she just popped in and out of the room w details. I also found it mildly irritating that she proceeded to explain my x-rays by prefacing the brief conversation w 'not much of a flosser, I see'. I think it was clear from my mention in my patient information and her revisiting of my dental history, that it had been a while since I had been to the dentist. Perhaps, I don't do 'dental humor', but as a healthcare professional, I am sure you have seen all kinds of things. Honestly, as an adult, I don't need/expect to be patronized. I just need you to let me know what you will need to do and provide me w the necessary preventative care info to avoid the reoccurrence of the situation. I thought I was being a bit silly, until i visited my new dentist whose energy was amazing and felt refreshingly different. Also found it strange that the receptionist asked if I was vaccinated. I actually have never been asked this at any doctor's office. I would understand if it was a primary care physician, but I actually found the question pretty invasive to be asking in a waiting room, when the temperature check and covid symptom questionnaire had been completed and should be sufficient. Receptionist then proceeded to take a photo for my patient file..? Anyways, Chyna, was great and did a bang up job. Appreciated her help and kindness. read more

Amazing dental office. I went here to get a second opinion, as thanks to Instagram, I had just been to a huge dental office in the city that was more "corporate"-like which toted spa-like amenities, but I found that the overall experience felt depersonalized (there wasn't even an ability to learn more about the staff on the website or choose your dentist). Enter QPD. I wanted a personalized experience, and this was in their name. I felt immediately welcomed as soon as I stepped into the office. The staff there are incredibly nice and patient with answering all your questions - you really feel like they're taking the time with you, and I never felt like I was being rushed. The team is smaller so it feels more intimate as well vs my first experience where there were so many people rushing around. Dr. S is amazing; she was the first dentist who pointed out that I had bone loss, and she was extremely patient with showing me what was happening on my xrays and fielding all my questions about it. The office is extremely clean and has everything that you could need - portable X-ray machines, TVs on the roof so you can watch Netflix during your cleaning, massage chairs, etc. I'll be going back to QPD for my repair work instead of the original office I had gone to. The office is super nice and the entire team, Scott, Chynna, and Dr. Salehezadeh made me feel truly well cared for. They explained every step and option (with prices!) and never forced me to make a decision or choose anything without my full understanding. They were so patient with answering all my questions and thoroughly explaining everything that was going on, even pointing things out in my x-rays. The cleaning was SO gentle and when I went back for my filling they took care to make sure it didn't hurt even though they were super busy (I'm fairly sure they slotted me in last minute because it looked so bad in my xrays--which goes to show how much they cared!). I have followed Dr. S from two different offices in Manhattan and now to her very own office in LIC. I never had a regular dentist before her because going to the dentist just to get a regular cleaning was such agony to me. The sound of metal scraping my teeth and drilling in my mouth just makes me cringe all over. No, thank you. Oh, I should also mention the time I had to get a piece of my wisdom tooth surgically removed because the dentist that pulled it out years ago (and bruised my entire face while at it) fractured the tooth during extraction and left a piece of the tooth to grow, causing me so much pain! So after that whole debacle, I kind of avoided any dental work, even cleanings. Then fast forward a few years later, I think I had a cavity or something and really needed to see a dentist. I found Dr. S on Yelp and went to see her because she was right around the corner from my office in Manhattan then. Well, I have been going to see her for my regular semi-annual cleanings and other dental work ever since. She has such a warm and fun personality and makes me feel so comfortable when I am sitting in her chair. She's also very considerate, gentle and thorough with her procedures. Always asking if I am okay when she is working on my teeth. I referred my husband to Dr. S after my initial visit and he has been going to her ever since as well. I am so glad Dr. S. now has her own office in Queens. I live in Queens and stopped working in Manhattan years ago but was still making the trip out to Manhattan to see her because it's hard to find a good dentist! Her new office is conveniently located at Queens Plaza by the Queensboro bridge lower roadway entrance. The office space is brand new and you can tell the space was designed with the patient's comfort in mind..they have TVs mounted on the ceilings so that you can watch while getting your teeth cleaned! I thought that was very neat. Besides the nice office space, she also has an excellent team working with her. Check-in/check-out was a breeze, dental x-rays/imaging were not bad at all and cleaning by the hygienist was very thorough. read more

I've been a patient of Dr. S since moving to NYC around 4 years ago, and I have felt so lucky to see such a cool dentist for all this time. I've done everything from cleanings to some minor tooth repair to a whole course of Invisalign! She and her staff have always been efficient, kind, thorough and honest about what I need (and what I don't). This was my first visit to her new location in Long Island City. The new facility is fantastic! Super clean, stylish and close to the subways and 59th St bridge. I have always been afraid of dentists until I found Dr Salehezadeh! She is very considerate of her patients fears and anxieties and goes the extra mile to make you feel comfortable and at ease. Her new practice even has massage chairs and overhead TV screens with relaxing fish swimming above you to keep your mind at ease while you are getting work done on your teeth. The entire staff is really great, the facility is clean modern and super safe. I was very worried going to the dentist during covid but they have gone above and beyond to ensure the safety and the health of their patients and their staff.
